During high school, we have this songfest at school where all classes from first to fourth years were required to join. Practices were done during music class. It is just normal for Filipinos to sing till the wee hours of the morning with their karaokes, until this was banned since it disturbs a lot of people sleeping. Now, they only have till 10 pm. We also have fiestas and there are a lot of amateur singing contests.

If you're amazed that Filipinos are a great singers. Watch when Filipinos cannot sing because they instead play musical instrument and so awesome on it.

Pilipino pastime is singing, you can hear people singing everywhere, even all neighbourhood do karaoke almost everyday, especially every Saturday and Sunday, each house have keraoke and it's like having fiesta everyday, every week.. LOVE FROM DAVAO CITY..

The first time my husband heard me sing was when we attended a Christmas party of Filipino Americans in a friend's home. They had a karaoke and the women were having a songfest. The next day, my husband took me shopping and bought me a karaoke machine. I guess he loved my singing voice. Lol.

Grown up in elementary school singing religious songs for 6 years before attending class. Warbling and out of tune most of the time. After practice for 2 hour i would find my range again and eloquence. This usually happen when i was forced into a drinking session.

I’m my school In the Philippines when u go to school very early in the morning u will be asked to sing lupang hinirang which is quite high and pilipinas kong mahal same also challenging and we do that everyday My friends say that’s like our training Everyday hahahahahaha

Please don't get me wrong coz they're all amazing singers, i just don't see nothing special on them, it's just so happened that someone has a phone to record them and post them so they've gone viral. Or Maybe becoz i am a Filipino and see this as common performances everywhere here in the country.
