It's called acclimatising. Some might call it greed; but I think people deserve the right to want their (reasonable) favourites in. It may be a lot of effort for Sakurai but in the end, taking his series to a roster over 100 really would be the 'Ultimate' thing in fighting games. Which they honestly cold have with this version

I love the Reveals more than anything but honestly, for a game called ''Ultimate'', I still am a bit saddened they stopped short of 100 characters. But maybe the naming is more symbolic; Sakurai honestly worked both his arms clean off for some of the insane deals and collaborations to make Smash so big it would possibly be forever self-sustaining in the gaming industry. Now Smash 6 will be a far easier ride as almost everyone else will really want in on a piece of the action!

When you see all the returning characters, all the new characters and all the DLC characters being revealed.. you really understand what a phenomenal roster this game has. And what a phenomenal game it is period.

I think what bothers me the most is everyone thought Chrom would be Ike or Marth echo and didn't consider Roy. Roy used to be Marth's Echo/Clone in Melee until he received some slight changes in 3DS/Wii U.

SEPHIROTH and sora are hands down the best reveals in my opinion

The further we got into the dlc passes, the more the credible leaks seemed to dry up (or, to me, at least).

Coming back to the beginning, memories were made in the development of smash bros. Characters that were cut returned, and we got surprises along the way. We got joker, we got banjo Kazooie, and we even got sans. Thank you Sakurai for a great fighting game

Aaronitmar: It's either Isabelle for Smash for Animal Crossing for Switch Nintendo: I'm gonna do what's called a *Pro Gamer Move.*

As a Banjo, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, KoF, Xenoblade, Shantae, and Doom fan, I absolutely loved the DLC + Mii costumes

Unfortunately, I didn't end up having the killer reactions I should have for Simon and Terry, since I wasn't properly acquainted with them before Smash. I'm a huge fan of them both now, but back then, it was more a "...Okay." Sora and Sephiroth got the biggest reactions out of me. Sephiroth was because I legit did not think they could do him justice, and thus not able to be added. And Sora? He was the character I wanted most in the game, but also had more licensing issues, so he wasn't very likely.

I watched that entire video and I have to say never seen someone so truly excited for banjo

I actually expected nothing from that direct (maybe Crash or another Fire Emblem character). But on Gamespot's thumbnail I saw it and went insane (after needing 3 takes to believe it and that it wasn't the zillionth 'prediction' video, lol.)

When Mario grabbed that fire, I genuinely thought he'd do his Smash 4 render for no reason

Nothing else hits like that Banjo reveal. I still get goosebumps.

It's a testament to the popularity of Banjo and Kazooie that Nintendo took the time to animate the other characters being ecstatic at their arrival.

Anyone else find it less fun when Aaron guesses right too quickly?

Always felt a bit peeved when people just knew who it was before.

Just simply looking back from the final dlc character to the first trailer really reminds me of the journey it has been

That first trailer was unbelievably hype

I found it so funny how after the "everyone is here" people were still gatting surprised by the roster. Yes, everyone it's here, it's not a prank

Oh I love this game Just wish Aaron uploaded his full reactions to the WHOLE directs and presentations and whatnot.

Watching these again is making me tear up. I'm gonna miss these reveal trailers, they were all so high quality and so hype! Each one felt like a big event

Honestly, I never thought my favorite reveals would change, but now I can say: #5, King K. Rool #4, Banjo #3, Ridley #2, the one I thought would never be topped, Everyone is here #1, Sora, having Sora here simply feels right... also watching the Nintendo Live Chat flip from "It's Tabuu!" when they were statues to "It's Dark Souls!" to "OMG IT'S SORA" was hilarious.

I just binged watched these man and my favourite is your seporith reaction 😅

The fact that Min Min was eating ramen and seems delighted by the taste tells me that Captain Falcon knows how to make some killer ramen.

What a journey!

It’s sad that Smash Ultimate is ending after only 3, no more updates or new characters, no more live stearms, no more nothing just the gameplay, RIP

Yeah, it is. But for a smash game it’s gotten so much content, it will be a game to enjoy for years to come. And who knows? Sakurai may be done directing the series after this, but that doesn’t mean it’s over! Maybe somewhere down the road we’ll get a new installment, with more new characters! For now, I’m really happy with what we got and with how the train of dlc ended, it wrapped everything up really nicely
