Reacting to DIMASH KUDAIBERGEN - THE STORY OF ONE SKY | Mind. BLOWN. 🤯🤯

Ойын-сауық

Dimash Qudaibergen - The Story of One Sky first time reaction! Today I'm finally reacting to Dimash and his 14 minute epic The Story of One Sky! I had heard many things about this one from all you Dears out there, and you were not exaggerating. This thing is SUBLIME. From start to finish, the emotion is overwhelming. Both the video and the song deliver this message perfectly, and everyone involved deserves all the plaudits they get. I am STUNNED. Dimash has delivered a MASTERPIECE. 🙌🤯

This IS Dimash’s message…it is VERY personal. He wrote the music AND the screenplay. He acted the parts of the main character & at the end, the part of his grown son.

“The Story of One Sky” was composed by Dimash and the script of the MV was written by him also. It took him three years to finish it. Dimash and his team worked very hard to make it and all of them deserve we show appreciation for the amazing artistic work they’ve done. “It was perfectly scripted and beautifully acted" he is the best singer of all time regardless of genre or personal taste because no one, no one has been able to reach his level of vocal histrionics. He is a living legend!!

I am so glad you're watching this. EVERY PERSON ON THE PLANET needs to see this. A little background for you: this is Dimash's personal project. It is incredibly graphic BECAUSE Dimash is passionate about eliminating war and he wanted everyone who sees it to understand the real impact of waging wars. He has given multiple speeches in conferences, meetings with world leaders, and even his concerts where he passionately speaks about how he cannot understand why we do this to each other and to ourselves. He famously speaks about how adults think we are smarter than little children and that it is our job to teach them but no adults ever died en mass because of the decisions of a few children while hundreds of thousands of children die from the decisions of a few adults. His feeling is that we all share the same sky, no matter where we come from our what we believes, and we need to stop acting like we are all so different from each other and start taking care of each other rather than fighting for personal gains. THIS is what makes him the best in the world. NOTE: A) The little girl is the daughter of Dimash and the girl from the beginning of the film. It is she who is giving birth to their baby while Dimash is grieving their older child and subsequently dying. B) Yes, his character knew who the general was. If you pay REALLY close attention at the begiining you notice the other boy gets rejected by the little girl and that is when his demeanor toward Dimash's character changes (he won't accept the friendship necklace). It's an incredible detail, if you think about it. Dimash knew exactly how to get to him and end it all but he hadn't yet. You have to ask yourself why. Out of loyalty? Hope that his former best friend would change his ways? C) He does perform this live which is an incredible thing in itself. I've only seen the live version from the Almaty concert.

Dimash sang it live in the concert in Turkey this week. Amazing. They had to change the venue, to an inside arena, for the concert due to bad weather. In 24 hours, they set it all up, ferried the audience from one arena to another and back after. They all did an amazing job. The seating was arranged slightly different but we got the level of seats we had paid for. We got dancers, musicians, graphics, incredible lighting etc. all in 24 hours! Stunning.,

Great explanation but I think it paints the characters a little too black and white. Dimash character in the film also chose to kill out of pain. Same as the general. I think it questions our choices as a whole and is a commentary on how neither choice of revenge or anger brought any justice or did any good. So instead of killing each other for our hurts and lack of understanding we should realize we are not all that different.

A friend confronting a friend. What is friendship? Nothing. War, conflict, money, social status - they kill values in people.... Death summons death, revenge. This is a topical drama in so many countries around the world. We will not change the world until we change ourselves.... Greetings from Poland

The live version is amazing but I feel you need the video first to understand. There are so many hidden details. The 3 kids with Dimash being saved by his friend. The necklace is a sextant. A navigation tool of sailors. The child who was rebuffed by the girl he has a crush on bends his. Preventing him from steering straight. Dimash & the girl (now pregnant) are parents of the little girl. The flaming sign has the name of the last city in Poland destroyed in W2 The “religious” part have representatives of all religions. They journey from darkness “to the light” for life The wailing of Dimash at the death of the child is juxtaposed with that of the wife bringing in new life The new life grows up to be a leader for light/life

The little girl he cried over was Dimash's daughter, the baby was Dimash's son. The "pipers" are the war mongers and ruthless leaders. I think Dimash at the end was the baby grown, (some people disagree) leading all different races and religions to peace. (Hopefully.) Dimash wrote the film and music. My goodness, there aren't even words anymore for his talent.

Hello friend! Thank you for your sincere reaction! When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least! 😢 You noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass and when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that? Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony, through his music, MVs and many charities he dedicates his time to. He is a Legend and will go down in History. The mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was made by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The Piper grew up and started a war, using the symbol of the necklace as the crest on his army uniform. This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it: 1) Dimash, who was drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, the one who saved Dimash, and who became the leader, and who was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son at the end, who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all torn by the war. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim, Shepard, or Wise Man at the end of the video was Dimash’s newborn son, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love and harmony. I’M CHOSING LIFE!! 🙏🙏 See you in your next reaction. Love from Canada 💖

In The Story Of One Sky he sings the whole soundtrack himself. The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it. He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay. The premiere was on September 24, 2022. As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. And she gave birth to her second child in the video. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. But violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace. By the way, he was also the soldier who was shot in the arm in the house at the beginning. If you want to know more about this video check out dimashnews. com Btw, Dimash has received an Award from Pope Francis personally at The Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan on September 13, 2022. He performed the song there in connection with the congress before the premiere. Can you imagine, a Muslim receiving an award from the head of the Catholic Church. This means something🥰. He also gave a speech at the first Central Asian Media Forum, in which he once again strongly advocated peace. You can see it with English subtitles. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZHdpl8NsndnMgA.html The official live version on his concert (on September 23, 2022. 35.000 people from 68 different countries) is on his channel Almaty concert part 3. From the minute 23:15 with a speech in which he announces the song for the first time. You really should see this. @@Irina_Savenkova And if you want some actual proof for what I’m claiming, look at his story of one sky fancam in Alatya or whatever the place is called. He starts off singing over the same track he did in Alamity, but roughly 45 seconds in, the track completely stops working, and he has to sing the rest 100% live. Notice it’s not like the track, and actually sounds live, because it is. Some dears claim there were audio issues, which is a possibility yes, but there is no doubt the track malfunctioned, and he looked tired while singing. He was meant to sing over it, so it doesn’t matter if SOOS is at the very end of the concert, but there was a malfunction so he had to improvise, and actually sing, and he still did a good job.

@@annnoyes6915 It wasn’t. Play this and the mv track, it’s the same thing. Whenever you hear Dimash sing perfectly, just like the original track, especially in the middle of a 4 hour concert, he is not 100% live. You don’t have to agree with me but it’s the truth. But it isn’t a bad thing because it was the first time the song was being heard right? So having it being no live makes sense. Besides, performing this song 100% live is really difficult in the middle of a concert, his voice might hurt for the rest of it. He always has a few playback songs in his concerts, usually all the Igor Krutoy songs, Ave maria, Olimpico, Stranger, etc.

  • @jvshuwa

    @jvshuwa

@@annnoyes6915 Yes, good question. There isn’t blatant proof in every performance he does, but overtime I have realized that if Dimash sings a song exactly like the original track live, he isn’t 100% live. First of all, it’s impossible to sing a song the exact same way more than once, and Dimash is singing songs like Olimpico for example 10+ times that are the EXACT same. It’s as simple as that. I used to think all of his performances were live, until I asked my self the question, if he can sing this song live perfectly just like the track 15+ times effortlessly, why does this performance not perfect, and unique? Well, that’s because he is actually live. For example, in all his concerts, he sings SOS live. How do I know that? Because each performance is different every time, and he actually sounds live,(a little pitchy, meaning not perfect like in a studio). So if he can sing Story of one sky for example perfectly like I said, why does he sing SOS and all the other “live” songs not perfect. That’s I figure out if he is singing live or not. If you play STOOS Music Video and compare it to the live version at Alamty there are the exact same, I guarantee it. To give you actual proof, look at STOOS at his concert before the Turkey one. He was singing over the same track he was in Alamty, but about 45 seconds into the song, the track he was singing over malfunctioned, and completely stopped working, so he had to sing the rest 100% live. As you will see in the video, he starts off singing perfectly, exactly like the track, until it stops working, and he is seen singing very softly(because he isn’t actually singing) and from that point on you call tell that it is live,(imperfectness, and uniqueness). He sang the song very well live, without any rehearsal. To back up what I was saying before, here is a video showing how Dimash sings “The Love of Tired Swans” the exact same in different performances. kzread.info/dash/bejne/q6Z6z6imgsS-otY.html Ignore the comments on this video because these are haters, but I’m just trying to show what I was saying before. A lot of dears are too stubborn to admit or even address Dimash not singing live, which makes sense, but he lip-syncs a lot more than people think. Is this a bad thing? No. Because Dimash can sing live really well, so it isn’t that big of a deal. But he does do it often, and that is a fact, weather people want to accept it or not. The only reason I make a deal out of it is that I think it is a little deceptive and I want to let dears know the truth, that’s all. Hopefully this made sense, and if you have questions please let me know. Also if you could tell me where to find the videos of Dimash saying he sings live or whatever that would be great. Thanks

I absolutely agree that this song and video should be seen by a much wider audience. This is a project close to his heart. You may need to watch again… Pipers crazy… Piper is both a name and the leader. The very beginning already leans towards Dimash’s knowledge that Piper was misleading the people. Yes, the woman is the little girl on the beach and was the wife of Dimash’s character. The girl murdered by the soldier was the daughter of Dimash and the girl from the beach. The live version is incredible but this video is an absolute masterpiece! Enjoyed your respectful reaction- peace from Canada!

Dimash never experienced the war, but he is quite empathetic and spiritual person. So, yes the war and suffering (specially of the kids) is always “personal” for him. He started with this idea, with composing and with the script more than three years ago. And now is this war in Ukraine really close and even more personal, since he has/had many friends and stuff from Ukraine too. (Besides that Kazakhstan is also Ex USSR republic, same as Ukraine.)

I like your emotion. You missed the whole song. Here's the explanation of it. Read it - then listen to the song again - with a new pair of eyes and ears. “This is subtitled “Requiem”, but it is also a vision and a call to action. Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the music teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14 at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together”, signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmed el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke (and received a medal from Pope Francis for his contributions to the World of Peace) with both men at the September meeting. Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I’ll only touch on some of what struck me. 1 The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial, while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. In the Music Video, the child who later becomes the military commander never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, the boy, gives his friend the pendant, the camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl. Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral compass. Later, we see a version of the gnomon, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through, as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers. 2 Contemporary music is also present: with the phrase “We have passed the moment of Imagine”, Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song “Imagine” by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. It is the only way. 3 The storyline is a very human one: we start as innocents until our hearts are broken, we fail, or our dreams are not realized. If in our pain and disappointment we turn to anger and blame instead of acceptance, power instead of love, greed and envy instead of generosity, hatred instead of forgiveness, and revenge instead of justice, we sow the seeds for conflicts that can turn into war. 4 The Piper’s Call is seductive as it promises redress for our grievances, control over our circumstances, and power over those who thwarted us, and this appeals to our wounded ego. However, let’s remember that the Piper is a symbolic figure of Death from the Middle Ages, often used as a metaphor for trusting and following charismatic but dangerous and malevolent leaders to certain death. Even if we resist, as the adult Dimash character does, we often employ the same methods and weaponry as the Piper, and thus those who fight back betray peace as well because peace cannot be won through violence. That is the dilemma of those of us who did not start the war, who do not support war, but are forced to respond in order to defend ourselves and those we love. How can we rid the world of evil without becoming what we fight against? 5 The burning sign “Waldenburg” is a reference to the end of WWII, when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht to end the war in April of 1945. Many of the dead were women and children, because all men ages 15 through 75 were mobilized. So, the good guys defeated evil, but at what price? 6 The last movement is powerful: The cries over the loss of a beloved child and the cries of giving birth to new life are presented as a call-and-response grounded by a powerful Om chant that creates a sacred space, reminding us that death and life are both sacraments and are interwoven. Dimash’s vocalization and the pilgrims representing world religions and religious leaders, past and present, walking together shift the narrative toward the final conflict and finally redemption. When Dimash’s character decides to avenge the murder of his daughter, his state of consciousness is reflected in the darkening sky with lightning bolts of anger accompanying the storm of his emotions that struck the pilgrims sharply. The fog of war obscures the light. When he is killed after exacting retribution, he is dropped back into the “sacred womb” of Earth, the ocean of love and mercy and is cleansed of the old hatreds and grievances that only bring more death and suffering. He breaks the wheel of endless war by choosing life. Dimash’s scream “We’re choosing life” is that of giving life: the old earthly consciousness of an eye for an eye has to die to make way for a new spiritual consciousness that embraces all life. Soul is breaking free to return to its natural state of love and purity as examplified by the images of the children and the newborn baby. The blowing of the shofar signals God’s mercy for humankind when it turns from wrong to right. Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash’s character becomes a guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. We are all on the same path, even if our personal narratives, cultural heritage and spiritual orientations are very different from one another. By focusing on our common destination rather than on our differences, we can walk together in peace and love and mutual respect. Dimash is showing us how. Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who founded analytical psychology, wrote: “Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” This is what Dimash has done with this work: he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time.” We don’t have to wait. We can start right now. This is Dimash’s message to those in power. He urges them to follow their hearts. He tells them that nothing that exists is, or could ever be, outside of God. We are never outside of God - and never without God within us.

Follow the necklaces: the boy who makes them grows to be the soldier (Dimash), the girl grows to become his wife and the mother of the little girl and who dies in childbirth of the baby boy, the taller boy grow to be the commander who has lost his way. The symbol is part of a sundial - the gnome. The taller boy is upset because the girl chose the other boy, and he bends the symbol. The soldier is confused with the war and leaves it to go home and finds death and destruction and worse of all, his daughter has been killed. His wife has been spirited away to give birth underground. The soldier seeks out his old friend, the commander and kills him and then he is killed in return. Then he sees his life as he screams 'we choose life'. The pilgrims from all religions, are struggling away from war and death and heading for the light and life. The baby grows to lead the way. The words at the end is from the conference on religions that Dimash performed this song and the Pope was there and he gave Dimash a commemorative gold medal for his work towards peace. Thank you so much for reacting to this incredible work from Dimash. He worked on it for 3 yrs.

(I worked on this piece for 3 years). Director Alina Veripya spoke about creating the music video for the new song: the clip is divided into several parts. The first is about childhood. The main character, two friends linked by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. One day the friend saves the protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in these children's story, where the boys love one girl and she chooses one. The second goes through a kind of psychological The disintegration and transformation of children's problems into an adult world of totalitarianism and struggle. When he becomes a commander, the opponent carries the idea of saving the war: the young boy who presents the tokens of friendship he made will marry the girl (Dimash). She will give birth. A baby girl (murdered) and a mother waiting for another baby. Friends were scattered, and the third friend became an enemy, friends are enemies, because of the war, It is shocking how the cry of true helplessness of a father embracing his murdered daughter is practically coupled with the cries of a woman in labor who brings a child into the traumatized world of soldier (Dimash). That he was searching for his family and that he had found the dead body of his daughter and I think believing that his pregnant wife had also died, and felt the death of life, he decides, as the only way out in that moment of uncontrollable pain is revenge. He killed the evil embodied in his opponent, and then was killed by soldiers' bullets. ,and when Dimash died, his son was born, and the mother died during childbirth. But the boy is saved by his society of different religions and races, he wears his mother's talisman. He will surely grow up and become a messenger of peace on earth, like a worthy son of his father.A symbol of a future without evil, without wars, a world moving towards peaceful coexistence. The light of hope and peace on earth,In a world without walls, without unfair constraints, without differences or contempt for different ethnic groups or nations because the supreme value above all is: love and peace We are all human beings, we share the same planet Earth, and we owe each other as "brothers" the respect for life. In the end, he joined with people of different races and religions from another era that touches the present and the future In a world without walls, without unfair constraints, without differences or contempt for different ethnic groups or nations because the supreme value above all is: love and peace We are all human beings, we share the same planet Earth, and we owe each other as "brothers" the respect for life. ,Piper represents the force Totalitarian, oppressor who is not alien to us and who understands that war is the way to make people free (real nonsense).Piper (is the name of a soldier's opponent, a soldier who only hates, annihilates and destroys. What a paradox for a friend who, in his childhood, saves soldier Dimash from drowning. But life is like this, full of changes, good and bad, Evil, war and contempt happen when we lose love for one another, and our way to God and making peace and love in the world is not difficult but possible if we work together for love and peace and stop wars, hate and contempt. It is about calling for cooperation, to save lives, love, friendship and the land of our children. “Art is a sacred message in life, and these are the true artists.. And the earth needs these reformers in their precious, true and immortal work for the sake of love and peace on earth..Thank God for his gifts

This is by far the best explanation I have found. It was written by Heiderose Kober: This is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action. Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the mystic teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14, 2022, at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting. Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I only touch on some of what struck me in the symbolism. The music is a dissertation all by itself. The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. (Thank you, Snarky Tart for that information). In the MV, (the taller child) who later becomes the military commander, never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, (the drowning boy), gives his friend the pendant. The camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl (later Dimash's Wife and the mother of his daughter who is killed). Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral compass. Later, we see a version of the gnomon as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through rendering it useless as a compass. When we lose the original intent of a symbol by twisting it into something it is not or by just paying lip service, it no longer has any spiritual meaning. At best it becomes a useless prop, at worst it is used to mislead and manipulate people. Contemporary music is also present: With the phrase "We have passed the moment of Imagine," Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. The burning sign "Waldenberg" is a reference to the end of WWII when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht close to the end of the war in April 1945 in the part of Germany where I grew up. I have seen the aftermath of war as I was born a few years later when much of Germany was still in rubble. Waldenburg is only 28 miles from my hometown and was completely destroyed as you can see from the picture. Many of the dead in those bombed-out buildings were women and children. The good guys defeated evil but at what price? War is not the answer. We must find better ways to keep evil in check. iowaculture.gov/.../american-troops-move-through The last movement is powerful: The cries over the loss of a beloved child and the cries of giving birth to new life are presented as a call-and-response grounded by a powerful Om chant that creates a sacred space, reminding us that death and birth are both sacraments and are interwoven in the tapestry of life. Dimash's vocalization and the pilgrims representing world religions and religious leaders, past and present, walking together shift the narrative toward the final conflict and finally redemption. When Dimash’s character decides to avenge the murder of his daughter, his state of consciousness is reflected in the darkening sky with lightning bolts of anger accompanying the storm of his emotions that buffets the pilgrims and hinder progress. The fog of war obscures the light. When he is killed after exacting retribution, he is dropped back into the "sacred womb" of Earth, the ocean of love and mercy, and is cleansed of the old hatreds and grievances that only bring more death and suffering. He breaks the wheel of endless war and suffering by choosing life. Dimash's scream of “we’re choosing life” is that of giving birth: the old earthly consciousness of an eye for an eye has to die to make way for a new spiritual consciousness that embraces all life. His soul is breaking free to return to its natural state of love and purity as exemplified by the images of the children and the newborn baby. The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humankind when it turns from wrong to right: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and so mercy is aroused and judgment is removed.” Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash's character in the form of his son becomes a spiritual guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. We are all on the same path, even if our personal narratives, cultural heritage, race, and spiritual orientations are very different from one another. By focusing on our common destination rather than on our differences, we can walk together in peace and love and mutual respect. Carl Jung wrote: “Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” This is what Dimash has done with this work; he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time. We don’t have to wait. We can start right now. As the hymn tells us: "Let there peace in the world, and let it begin with me." Baraka Bashad.

Everyone who screams that Dimash has no emotion in his singing should watch this video. Dimash is not only a fantastic singer but also a good actor and even a very capable director as well as a composer. I noticed that many reactors and also people in the comments interpret this work as a general world peace message. And of course it is. But we have to realize that this is also a very topical and personal topic for Dimash. I think the friendship scene is a metaphor for the past good relations between Kazakhstan and Russia that went bad when Russia aggressively and unjustly invaded Ukraine and not only the Russian army is murdering the population, but they are also forcibly taking children to Russia for re-education. I think the parallel with Nazi Germany in the past is obvious. We also definitely know who the leader in the video is actually representing. It is especially painful for Dimash, he has many fans in Russia, as well as fellow artists with whom he has very good relations. Igor Krutoy was also born in Ukraine. I'm glad that Kazakhstan refused to get involved in this agresor war and Dimash also canceled all concerts in Russia. I also noticed that not only Muslims are represented in the procession in the desert, but also Christians, Buddhists, Hindus and probably other religions as well. Here the global message is quite obvious: Ordinary people of all countries and religions desire peace and suffer from wars. When they give awards for the best music video, song or composition again in the west, it will be just a smile for me, because I know that there is one humble artist living in Kazakhstan who far surpasses all the super popular stars.
