I do feel that giving monk Dex and Wisdom saves is okay as a specific deviation from typical class design simply because being more defensive in that way is fitting and would be a pretty good buff.

I know this is only a small part of the whole stream but I HATE jumping rules in 5e. In my own system I tried to make it as simple as possible: it just costs you an extra foot of Speed per foot you jump. So jumping 10 feet costs 20 feet of Speed and this goes for any direction, vertical, horizontal or at an angle. If you jump and land somewhere above where you started, say on a ledge that's 10 feet ahead of you and 20 feet up, you use the longer distance to calculate your jump distance. So with the provided example, you would count that as jumping 20 feet thus costing 40 feet of Speed. Is it perfectly accurate to real life? No, but its simple, easy enough to remember and doesn't bog the game down.

You don't like 3 + your Strength modifier? Half with no running start?

@@AFK0099 Most battle maps are split into 5 ft squares so it always feels awkward jumping like 6 or 7 feet. I also just think the running start and long vs high jump rules are so unnecessary. Like sure I can play a monk who can run on water and walls but god forbid my jumping ability is unrealistic!

2:06:10 Not sure where the confusion is coming from. To use Dash as a BA, you have to use your Step of the Wind feature, as it's part of that feature's text. Fleet Step explicitly states that the BA that triggers it has to be something other than Step of the Wind. So when you use a BA to Dash, you will have had to use Step of the Wind to do so, which disqualifies you for using Fleet Step with it. I don't think there's any ambiguity here at all. Edit: As for other sources of using Dash as a BA, making a monk able to potentially dash 3 times per turn-who cares? Yes, it's a comic book fantasy, but would it be really the worst offender of that in 5e, or 5.5e? Also there'd be some kind of tax for it, either having to pick a specific race, or multiclassing. Edit 2: Ah, the conversation with Treantmonk cleared it up, and he said the same thing-who cares? :D

Making the new ranger so dependent on Hunter's Mark was a mistake...
