И возникает естественное желание сравнить голос Дианы Анкудиновой с каким-либо уже знакомым голосом. Сравнение с Шадэ; с "Энигмой"; с "Dead Can Dance" вполне оправданно - как и ещё с десятком хорошо известных голосов, от Шер до Нины Симон. Несомненно, в голосе Дианы можно расслышать звуки, оттенки, интонации, напоминающие вам то один из этих голосов, то другой. Чем больше вы слушаете, тем больше возникает поводов для сравнений; в конце концов вы как будто привыкаете к этому необычному голосу - и перестаёте сравнивать. Какую бы песню она не исполняла и как бы сильно не меняла тембры, интонации, тесситуры - вы всё равно слышите только её голос, не похожий в итоге ни на какой другой. Её уникальность состоит не только в необычном, сразу узнаваемом тембре, но и в невероятной гибкости и разнообразии голоса ( хочется сказать: многих её голосов). Besides her; again, ridiculously versatile voice, she presents an acting performance of highest quality. She really personalizes a bird. Her mimic is exceptional, with her sharp eye-view, sudden head moves and the ability to present her face smallish and with her nose like a hawkish beak. Then her slightly wobbly walk and shoulder bobbing pretty much gives the impression of a walking bird. She's definitively capable of doing stuff in Gothic and Metal as well.

Diana (as it usually happens) made her own version of the song. And it worked very well. The performance was superb and well staged.
