Catholic church is a pagan church. A false church, that you go to confess all your personal sins to some priest. Catholic church is responsible for creating Jesuits, that spawned the freemasons. Not all but a lot of Baptists ignore history on purpose. Any time I bring up history to a pastor they try to change the subject and act like a troubled 2 year old. I'm just baffled by a lot of the things they say - "Constantine started the Catholic church", "Jesus didn't mean that", "no that's not the right bible you're using", "no you are not reading it right!", " Search your heart, find Christ", " but that evidence is fake", etc. 😂

Not fighting here guys, simpliy to me this is a logical argument, we know that scripture is from God but do we know absolutely 100% that tradition is from God? So my question is can anyone give me absolute proof that traditon is God breathed and not man made. Bible is God breathed 2 Tim 3:16, tradition is man made, all men are fallible ( and I know that the pope is supposed to be infallible, but many popes have said and done some weird and wonderful things that we know to be wrong), Catholics may know who said what regarding tradition, but can it be proven without a shodow of a doubt that it is the word of God, scripture we know without a shadow of a doubt is the word of God! Numbers 23:19... God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? Hebrews 6:18... so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us. 1 Samuel 15:29... Also the Glory of Israel will not lie or change His mind; for He is not a man that He should change His mind.” ( this scripture implies to me that man changes his mind ) Have a good day.

@@seannel4996 As far as the Pope being infallible. He is, as long as he going along with scripture and traditions. We acknowledge that there have been bad popes, just like there are bad pastors. The Pope is not God, but a tool of God. The scriptures are inspired by God. But historically speaking, who compiled the Bible. The Bible as we know it was not around for the first 300-400 years of the church. I think if you honestly look at the history and how this has developed. You will see the answers you are seeking. The issues most protestants have (I am still a protestant, getting ready to convert), is that we see and judge by todays current church life. You will not find the word trinity, sinners prayer, alter call, personal relationship with Jesus, etc. Basically, every thing most protestants are doing. Are man made traditions. You could say that its from the scriptures. But, the same thing can be said for the catholic church. The Didache is considered part of the group of second-generation Christian writings known as the Apostolic Fathers. I would suggest you read this, and it will tell you how the first Christians worshipped. I know you requested and answer to your sincere question, and it was not given. All I can say is listen to KZread channels from Trent horn, catholic skeptic, and Inquietum corda.

Or you can talk about how historically the bishop of Rome had no standing above bishops of other major cities. Sola Scriptura does not mean only the Bible is used; it only means that only the Bible is infallible. As you can see Protestants are perfectly capable of using historical facts.

@@PieMaster2425 so you believe a group of people who were not divinely inspired put together an infallible book? Because the Catholic Church put together the first bible in the year 392 at the counsel of hippo. The Holy Spirit inspired them to decided which books were inspired. As well as which sacred traditions to pass down through the church. Which the Bible explicitly says. It now definitely says sacred scripture and sacred tradition in the Bible, whether oral or epistle. They didn’t even have a bible for the first 300 years it was all oral tradition and sacred church tradition. I love how Protestants just think the Bible fell out of the sky one day. It says in the Bible the church is the pillar and ground of truth. I’m Jesus never said don’t forget to right my book. The reality is he left one holy and apostolic Catholic Church. It doesn’t say church’s in the Bible. Their was one church that’s it. The term catholic has been used as early as the second century. All the early church fathers were catholic, you know? The direct descendents of the apostles. It’s all written down, where as your version of Christianity didn’t exist until the 1500s. Faith alone is a man made docrtrine. The only place you find faith alone in the Bible is james chapter 2 verse 24 you see a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. That’s why Martin Luther said and I qoute, “ I wish I could throw jimmy in the oven, it gives us much trouble” he also wrote a book called the Jews and their lies. He also said Jesus commited adultry wtith the woman at the well. These are just a few of the many unbiblical and evil thing he said, not even mentioning the things he did. Protestant gospel is a false gospel. You didn’t respond to any of the history that I presented it’s all facts not guess work and can be easily looked up.

Few of them even bother to study the whole of Scripture in a serious way. They cherry pick passages which they “think” support their theology. But it is all smoke and mirrors in the end. For the longest time, especially before I became a Catholic, I struggled as to why we need to go to other people to be forgiven, to be anointed, all of these things that can really only be done when one goes to the local parish. I realized though that it isn't that this is why things needed to happen, but how God wanted it to happen and occur in his faith. It's not simply because of it being biblical, although I stand with it being biblical %100, But its because God wanted involvement in his church, he planned for these things to be used under with him working THROUGH the people who decided to become priests, and that is way more beautiful then most people give credit for.

I would like to encourage you to please continue doing what you are doing and I would like to state that I believe this type of evangelization to unify Christians is exactly what Holy Mother Church is in need of; we need more warriors of apologetics to educate, enlighten, and speak the truth. The church is going through a cleansing, praise be to God; the number of members may be dwindling, boiling down to people of pure, true, and real faith, which is exactly what needs to happen. But I believe , just. As important , is to establish our pure, true, and real identity and we need people like you at the forefront for the rest of society to recognize that identity.

If one was to ask questions, some things that I wish many Catholics would explain are things like: the seeming "idolatry" many Catholics do with statues of Mary which they carry around to different places and pray to, the chanting of similar prayers and sayings, the lack of reaching out to new visitors or their openess, the weird supposed requirements to even looking into the process of joining the church (though this may just be my church or area), the weird studying about different saints but lacking to stay steadfast upon the Bible specifically, the strange allowance of partial fellowship and membership, amongst other things.

  • @myrddingwynedd2751

Repentance is something we do. It is an act of the will. The point Paul is making is that works, whether moral or ceremonial, do not merit the forgiveness of sins, that comes from believing in Christ's atoning sacrifice on the cross. But to say we do nothing in that equation is not correct. We must repent and believe. If this were not the case, and God were to be solely responsible for our repentance, then God would be responsible for the unrepentance of those who are not saved. To say we do absolutely nothing is to agree with Calvinists and is an over correction on the part of Catholics to answer the accusation that we believe we are saved by works. It is faith, repentance, and good works that justify us. The point Paul is making is that the mercy of God is not earned through works, but through faith and repentance. If you do not stop offending, then good works are of no use. If you do repent, then good works are the completion of the salvation process, which is also necessary.

At 9:25 you correctly say that there is only one mediator, the Lord Jesus. But the Catholic Church itself goes futher and does actually believe that Mary is a mediator between people and God. Check CCC 969: "...Therefore the Blessed Virgin is invoked in the Church under the titles of Advocate, Helper, Benefactress, and Mediatrix." - CCC 969 Funnily enough the Catholic Church not only contradicts the Bible, but itself when it says in CCC 480: "...for this reason he is the one and only mediator between God and men." - CCC 480 I know that the Catholic church interprets mediator loosely in the sense that praying for others is somehow mediation, but the Bible never speaks like this and it really is a contradiction and a warped theology. Don't let the Catholic Church's strange contradictions lead you astray friends, I love you dearly.

There is onto one mediator between God and men, as in mankind. Which is Jesus because He is both God and man. He secured salvation for all mankind by His sacrifice. (See the rest of the verse) Mediate means to be a go between of two parties, similar to when you ask people to pray for you. It’s a synonym to intercede, which we are called to do for each other in Paul’s letter to Timothy, right before He calls Jesus the one mediator who died for our sins,

For the first argument regarding praying to saints. There is a big difference between asking someone on earth to pray for you opposed to praying to someone to pray for you. If I wanted my brother to pray for me, would it be reasonable for me to pray in my head that he prays for me? For example saying in your head or out loud "Oh Jimmy please pray that I have wisdom to make good choices at college." To me that feels very wrong but I'd love to hear your response!

Well you are putting earthly boundaries on Heavenly things. The saints in Heaven are those who are in the full presence of God, therefore they can ask God to do anything even for the ability to hear prayers from the earth and oversee earthly events. I feel as though too many people compare Heaven to being a better version of earth, but it is something far beyond our comprehension. Those who are with God are in the constant presence of His full power. We also know in scripture that angels deliver prayers so it’s not simply God handling prayers, it’s just that ultimately they all end up going to him. And especially in revelation where it says “… the prayers of all the saints” (Rev. 8:3) we know that saints is to mean Christians and all would encompass the entirety of the body of Christ (those alive on earth and those more alive in Heaven)

Do you remember where you got the crucifix necklace? I'm not as into the plain cross, especially since it feels a little more Protestant to me. But I'd love that piece you have or at least something similar

@@_ready__ i'm not talking to you, anymore. you're just an ill-informed Protestant nut job full of disdain for the Catholic Church. i'll leave you with this tho. while I may not be nearly as informed as Brayden, I've informed myself well enough to know quite a few of the cliche Protestant attacks on Catholicism. we don't "like" Jesus on the cross, but we certainly believe it's a better way to remember his incredibly selfless and brutal sacrifice he took on for the sins of humanity. im not bothered by your lack of Christ on the cross; however, I could just as easily twist it to be like "Why are Protestants so determined to have Jesus removed from the cross to hiding Christ's ultimate sacrifice for mankind?" see? i could easily make it look like you have no respect for what Jesus put himself through. do i believe that? no, cuz i have a reasonable brain, and am not quick to attack others, especially others who share the Christian faith. The world is messed up enough, why are you so pressed to have infighting amongst Christians furthering a divide?
