Rimuru is Overpower and Cracked as hell. But Tensura verse don't allow Rimuru to be as Stylish as he wants to be. Tensura verse itself is Cracked with Op Character for that Reason Rimuru can't dominate others like Cid.🗿

what Aninews is describing about Cids technique might sound deep and complex but it's actually just the basics of Japanese martial arts, anyone that spends a year in a decent dojo could understand this principles easily. I don't fully buy his argument that Cid is overpowered because how excellent he is at executing battle principles, because this is build on the premise that his opponents don't know what they are doing which isn't the case. a good example is Beatrix which understands his martial arts except his "genjutsu" and has a fighting technique also based on "zero wasted movement", she loses to Cid due to the cheer difference in raw power, in their battle everytime Cid gets the uperhand is by using unorthodox counters such as when he countered her ultimate Iaijitsu draw with a MMA grappling throw, it might look genius but in reality he can only pull it off due to his raw overwhelming speed difference. a good example of overwhelming power used tactically is Elizabeth, she takes the highground executes unavoidable carpet bombing, decides she doesn't need to evade because as long as her oponents keep taking damage as well she will get more ammo and heal herself, is vigilant of their opponents cards and as soon as she detectes a threat launches a crippling strike to disarm them, her fighting style resembles warfare rather than a duel, which makes sense considering than her lore consists of her taking down three kingdoms by herself. again Cid beats her by instantly shortening the distance with his overwhelming magical speed

that battle scene against elizabeth is a little different in the manga and ln im pretty sure too. cid didnt speed blitz towards elizabeth at all in the manga, instead its more of the total opposite. he literally walked right up to her while dodging all of her attacks with the most skilled footwork ending it off with the i am recovery atomic attack. this is a prime feat of his that showcases his skill in combat. i do agree with you saying cid uses his overwhelming speed to overpowered beatrix, but it isnt just speed he was going for there, it was reaction time he was overwhelming her with. the difference between him and other op isekai protag is that he uses his overwhelming power much more tactically. example being with how he overwhelms beatrix with speed, which in reality he uses that speed at the moment when raindrops fall making beatrix not able to react to it since she couldn't tell the difference between the raindrops and when cid moves as they both happen at the same time. i think what aninews is trying to say is that cid can use all of his cards much tactically better than other op isekai protag by a large margin which to be honest is true. other op isekai protag encounters beings that somewhat has the same skillset as them, but they don't overwhelm them like how cid does.
