Also you can really see how much Harry being good at the game helps. Like there is honestly a decent amount good with this game, the play styles adding some arcadiness to the game, the evos even tho I can’t be bothered to do them, if you are good enough to bypass the small things that actually affect results in gameplay which most of us aren’t, you will genuinely enjoy the game. But most of us are not hence why we can get annoyed by this game. But a part of me generally enjoys this game. I play old gen also, new gen is complete garbage. But it doesn’t really let EA off the hook that it seems like every year, it’s like they try to test the boundaries of how much they can take away, and still have us play the game.

Exactly, I’m crap at the game and when I feel the DDA on a game when I could defo win and it leads me to lose, it feels unjust, he feels the DDA and wins anyway. I don’t get many wins and I’m okay with people being better than me as I am used to taking L’s, but when I lose to something wrong with the game it annoys me the most. I don’t get many wins so being robbed of some I could’ve got ruins my weekend league and makes me give up on this game

yeah ngl harry about the SBC addiction is bang on point SBCs are the second most addictive and dangerous thing about fifa next to store packs (it will be paid evolutions next!) If you share play 50 icon picks and post it to youtube/twitch it will get TONS of views and people will grind for the roulette wheel and mostly get fucked! The boycott is not just about the addiction of spending fifa points, its about ALL ADDICTION to fifa, time = money! EVEN MORE SO if you're young! If you're abandoning social life, work (even if its shit), uni or school etc. to play a game that doesnt make you happy only for the dopamine effect of packing a good player THEN STOP and if you cant get professional help! the small stuff adds up as well! "i can say, ok i'll work weekday shifts only because i need to play weekend league!" or "i'll miss that social networking event on friday night because my SBC R9 will expire and i still have 3 90 rated squads left with no fodder and 50K coins!, oh guess i'll spend $50 on a 87x10 store pack to finish R9 SBC!" see my point! SBCs are the second most worse thing about fifa! Espeically the player sbcs (BECAUSE OF THE TIME YOU SPEND VS TIME SPEND USING SBC PLAYER!) you'll spend 1-2 weeks grinding the game for an SBC R9 just to use him 2-3 times and forget about him later, AND IF YOU WANT TO COMPLETE HIM QUICKLY then you'll need to spend points on storepacks for fodder! again, the boycott is mostly up to the individual and whether they'll realise that fifa as bad as an addiction as any other addiction!

18:24 I think the difference between what Harry is saying and what Nick does is that Nick doesn't cut down the fluff and show the highlights. Nick aims to give an accurate review of what the pack is like and a lot of the time the general consensus of the pack after the video is Nick saying we shouldn't do these packs. So, as lazy as the content is, a decent amount of the time, I watch these share play vids for information, to see if the packs are worth opening or not. What Harry is saying is just showing the highlights of the packs, to create the illusion, or even if it's not to create an illusion, showing the highlights implicitly makes more people likely to grind or spend to get the pack, fueling EA. Hopefully, people see this and understand why shareplaying itself isn't necessarily the worst thing in the world. And I hope this gets to nick, harry and more people in the comments.

EXACTLY, I'm like an 11-win player, so if I use a team that has all under 60 pace or something I will get smashed in every game, whilst also hating the gameplay at the same time. I respect Harry, but because he's really good, he doesn't have the same issues as others, if an awful gameplay mistake happens for him and he concedes, he can just score 3 more himself, for me, that might be what loses me the game.

Harry has to realise when he talks about gameplay that in theory all these playstyle are great and building different team but people want to do that AND be able to win which feels impossible for most. it's easier to enjoy when you're as skilled as him. No one plays a competitive game and is fine losing. People are more in love with the concept of this game than the actual gameplay.

I didn't go mad or get bitter or grind myself into the dirt trying to get 20-0 and still with the upgrade SBCs and rewards ended up with TOTY R9 leading a really nice team. 😂 Now I just enjoy the cards I've collected.

What is share play ?

Problem is creators use the I need to "eat an pay rent". When in reality most wouldn't even feel it they make so much its just greed they're just as bad as EA. They would also surely make money on boycott content and streaming other games. They would be nothing without their viewers but most actually dont care as long as the money flows, wish more would have a backbone like Nick fair play.

"What I ended up saying" - there is the whole problem. You should think BEFORE, not AFTER :D - people remember the first thing today, not what you change it to days after.

Nick, have always enjoyed your content over the years. I’ve been playing since fifa 2000 - seen the ups and downs. FIFA 21 I vowed to never buy a fifa again and therefore only played 22 and now 24 due to the game being free. For at least 5 years I remember content creators (including yourself) have been calling out for a better game. I remember when you started playing pro evo in protest a few years ago. I think half the reason you don’t have all the community is content creators have felt the pain a lot more than most playing today. Most people I know wouldn’t touch fifa and stopped playing because of how toxic and bad a game it is. They got out and a new generation comes in who hasn’t seen EAs constant lack of neglect and mistakes. Anyway after two years of not watching your videos, good to see everything’s still a mess, same problems years later. Your content is still entertaining which is good to see!

I personally don’t agree with the SBC stuff being bad tbh, because there’s always fomo with P2W games, could be one of your friends packing something sick, always plying against cracked teams and wanting to compete with a better team. SBC’s are just a better grind way to obtain such things than the store. Especially with fodder being easy to get. Store packs though I 100% agree coins or points terrible

I think its easy for Harry to say that he likes the game cus he uses lesser players to enjoy, and that others should do the same instead of using the same meta players. Firstly, 'enjoyment' and 'fun' is subjective, and secondly not everyone is as insane at the game as Harry is, so they'd probably hate it more with worse cards

Its not about "really enjoying this game", we all know the issues but Harry is right, you gotta find a way to enjoy what is on offer, Evo's is the way forward for me. There's 2 sides to the share play thing. There's been plenty of times I've considered a pack/sbc before watching a video showing 20+ examples of why I shouldn't open it.

Respect! Couldn’t agree more on one point that is no COINS or FP shall be spent in the store. Just NO, cause spending coins on the store packs kill the market and make the game dead, and we also got nothing back from the untradable ones. If we all stop spending coins in store pack, the market would be alive again like old fifa and EA would fail to turn this game into mobile Fifa market.

I have a psv / psv pnp team. I actually enjoy playing. Yes ofcourse i have moments in matches where im annoyed at the game/opponent. But in the end im just here upgrading my team.

Shareplays just like pack openings are constant stimulation and as such work fundamentally different to how normal people open packs/do player picks. We don't have unlimited fodder, or other mates who will let us open them, nor do we have infinite pockets. So someone, after having watched enough videos, and experiencing the 'creator methodology' of player picks, can have their perspective warped enough to think they can get the same outcome from a significantly smaller amount of player picks. Does this lead to them buying packs? Not necessarily but I really can't see how it doesn't up the odds- they're both gambling (in the sense of risking something, not only gambling money) on the same game. That being said, I feel for creators. How many times can you say 'dont buy packs' and people still do it. It's like here in england, all cigarette packets say 'Smoking kills' and have a picture of someone with a hole in their lung. Does every SBC need 'Player picks kill' and a picture of Auzio on the front?

If u need to force yourself to play less and less of the game to have fun is really fun 😂

Hey man I been playing fifa ut since fifa 13 and never spent money on fifa points, was div 1 player and still there now with the amount of good cards you can get so I guess its just how you play the game. Weekend leauge doesn't do it for me with terrible rewards, I only go 11 wins because just get bored. My best player this week in both picks were sommer twice! 😅 makes you think what's the point. Struggle against big teams with the rtg but it is what it is. Appreciate what you tried to do! and I think you was very bold and I have a lot of respect for you! He’s got a point. I find myself enjoying the game recently but I could care less about rewards or what I get. Even though the game can and is chalked at points, I don’t care and don’t let it bother. I still use crouch up front. If you can’t separate your life or hinge on getting the absolute best cards on a weekly basis, you’re setting yourself up for stress and disappointment.
