I remember watching Hayley on sytycd that season and being so inspired by her. I was in middle school and struggled with my body image and self confidence but somehow got the courage to take a dance lesson because of Hayley. I started doing competitions and joined the dance team in high school which ended up being my outlet throughout high school. Thanks Hayley for being such an amazing inspiration and person to look up to🙏🏻

It's a dancer thing, they often think feet are ugly esthetically, but they can still be beautiful for the dancing and purpose of them.

I love watching Haley dance too, she is a beautiful dancer. She is so on point and musical, I have no idea how she moves like that, the music and emotion of the dance just flows out of her. Wonderful job Haley. 👍😊

Derek throughout this entire video is the mom in Mean Girls (YOU'RE DOING AMAZING SWEETIE!)

The constant "wows" and "look at those legs" and the googlie eyes he makes at her is so cute!

Ahhhh I took class with Mia Michael’s at a convention in 2002 and I will never forget I got her attention with my dancing and she complemented me. It was HUGE for me. Because I was not a big girl, but curvy and big for a dancer. She boosted my confidence so much to continue dancing to this day at age 35 as a plus-size dancer. I learned I can still ROCK IT even if I look different. 💜💜💜 She wouldn’t remember me in a million years but I will ALWAYS remember her for that!

I LOVE the way Derek encourages Hayley and the energy with which he builds her up!

I didn’t even realize she competed on there...Oh the memories. That’s my favorite show ever. I wish they did a season in 2020.

I love watching Derek watch dance…he’s so animated. Like he wants to be in every routine!!

The fact that Hayley, Alan, and Jenna were all o the same season was UNREAL!!!

It's so heartbreaking about what's happening with her health. But like said here, the way he looks at her, they'll dance together eternally. What a beautiful love they have.

It’s 2022 now and we just got back from Vegas where we saw Derek ( and Hayley) show. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!! Just 90 minutes of riveting, perfect dance routines!! We loved it so much!!!! So did every person in the audience- standing ovation well deserved. I would definitely go back again!❤️

Loved you on the show Hayley! This was my favorite season of SYTYCD! So many talented people I still watch today were on it!

I remember your season and your dancing. It was stunning! Ahhh ... those were the great days of SYTYCD ... before the format changed and the number of days on TV shrunk. That show was soooo good and the dancing was top notch.

I ran into them in Disneyland in January and it makes me so happy to this day lol

I'm in full agreement with Derek about loving to watch Hayley dance. She is one of the best dancers I've ever seen. Hayley is a standout even among other professional dancers. She does have the best legs & feet, moving so gracefully. She has no idea how truly gorgeous she really moves. You guys have the best chemistry, that lends itself to dancing together so well; sometimes you forget you are 2 separate people.

I never knew it, but she also participated in a beauty pageant, taking second place in the Miss Kansas Teen USA pageant. She actually has done quite a lot very well.

can I just say.. living in a diff country.. I've never heard of derek before the WOD show.. But he easily became my fave WOD judge because you can really see that he loves dance so much.. and even if he is giving criticisms it feels like he is doing it because he genuinely want the dancers to improve...plus he seems like a positive and fun person... and did I already mention that his love for dance and its artistry oozes.. I love this judge so much.. I would always wait for his reactions when watching WOD... I miss WOD btw... you'll see a lot of talented out of this world dancers there... loved syytcd as well... up until a certain season...
