The pink Washington capitals is based off of the Japanese cherry trees in DC. When the flowers on the tree bloom they are pink and basically turn the whole city pink, because there is so many of them.

This. Also the Washington Nationals (MLB) and Washington Wizards (NBA) released cherry blossom jerseys that featured pink this year, and I was surprised the Caps hadn't followed suit. That said, I think there's too much pink in the jersey. It almost feels more like a Breast Cancer Awareness Month jersey than a cherry blossom-themed one.

The bottom-right Flyers jersey uses the colors from the logo of the Spectrum, which is where the Flyers played from their inception until the mid-1990s. I remember being there for a show when I was very little. Their current arena is a huge upgrade, but there was so much history lost when the Spectrum went down.

The bell on the flyers jersey is representing the city of Philadelphia which houses the Liberty Bell

That blue whale jersey is connected to Messier more than Linden and Bure (they're more skate era). The funky whale logo is taken from the truth and reconciliation speciality jerseys, the shoulder logo on that jersey is a recoloured Vancouver city flag

The bottom right for Seattle uses emeralds on the sleeves, as Seattle is called "The Emerald City." And Emerald Green is the base color for the jersey.

The bottom right for the LA Kings is supposed to be a beach scene. I thought it looked interesting👑🏝

I’m not sure if anyone else has mentioned it or you looked into it on your own, but St. Louis has a very French history, thus the symbol on their alternate Jersey and flag. Numerous French streets and cities throughout the area.

When I was a kid and the Nordiques moved to Colorado I wanted them to use the foot logo as the main since back then I thought it was the coolest thing in the world, right behind the sharks logo.

The two top jerseys for NJ Devils appear to be using the original concept logo shown by Dr. McMullen at the team's initial press conference announcing the purchase of the Colorado Rockies and move to New Jersey.

26:00 that's definitely west coast native designs in the logo on the black and yellow one, which is what the logo is based on anyways.

All four of Anaheim looked looked fantastic! As a passionate Flames fan, I loved the primary home and away options with shoulder patch! Nice use of the pedis tole logo. Great city flag addition! Awesome close second fav set!

That indigenous Canuck themed jersey is the greatest!! Perhaps I’m biased though as I’ve spent much time in First Nations communities and been immersed in their culture. When legible, the shoulder patch says “Every Child Matters”, a staple in the First Nations communities and a message to enlighten others for what they have been through. What a beauty though. 10/10 ❤

Most major USA cities have their own city flag. Most of the time it’s the capital flag. So at the capital/ city center they have a US flag, a State Flag, and a city flag. I think chicago is the most well known I can think of and the Blackhawks jersey has a lot of Easter eggs for the flag on their jerseys. Hope this helps.

@@UncleTbug Hey Trevor, I understand this, we have similarities up here in Canada with populous cities having their own flag as well as having provincial flags. But we certainly don’t have a B.C. “city flag” as B.C. is a province, it can’t be a city, it has its own provincial flag…cities such as Victoria and Vancouver have their own respective flags as they are cities. So how is a state, similar to what a province is, have a “city” flag…like Mesa, Scottsdale, Tucson and Phoenix have their own separate flag from a ‘zona state flag. They are separate entities and each have their own flag, no?

The Bruins' jersey at the bottom right is supposed to resemble the Boston Athlete's society as seen on the logo and colors. The Boston Marathon also uses these colors as well. 🐻👍🏾

best part about Boston, was he never mentioned anything about the top 2, because he HATES brown jerseys in Boston, even though the word Bruin is french for Brown Bear, and the original colors was Brown and Gold/yellow

The Kraken 2nd alt almost represents the MLB's Mariners due to the colors plus with the anchor logo and the color makes it look like a shipwreck off the coast of Seattle

In the flyers one I would care to argue, we have had shoulder patches so far with the winter classic, and stadium series so I think it would be cool to keep our logo and do some alternate shoulder patches maybe not two but one. The Liberty bell would look nice or Betsy Ross or something. One clean shoulder patch would not break the original logo and won't distract

I have an idea for a jersey line up. It would be called “New thousands” (instead of 2000’s) and it would be 100% New Jersey designs but inspired by the unique and originality of the jerseys of the 2000’s and late 90’s. I just believe reverse retro is gonna run it’s corse very soon and I want more original and brand new concepts.

26:32 Bure and Linden literally played in those jerseys for 1 year. Messier came in and the team go blown up. Bure and linden are much more associated with the skate jersey. I'd associate these navy/maroon jerseys with the West Coast Express line with Naslund and Bertuzzi. My jersey like this is Jovonovski.

The sharks jerseys are not bad, I actually really like them, it has a very similar look to what they wore in the early 2000s with the stripping style. The only thing I would change is the orange stripe to the original grey, and I love the screaming sharks logo and I hope when the new hockey jersey provider comes in that there is a potential switch to that logo as our new primary

The bottom-right logo for the Canes' set is indeed based on the flag of Raleigh, NC (where the Canes play)

The Penguins bottom right jersey screams Pittsburgh Steelers to me.

Yup. Probably the 3rd or 4th time you have commented on me repeating words or a phrase. It's not easy filming a 20+ minute video and providing verbal variety when I am looking at 32 of essentially the same thing over and over again. I would invite anyone to try it.

Just remember the time you were laughing it up about "yard goats" without realizing it was a railroad term. How about "fat guy in a cowboy hat", who was actually U.S. president Teddy Roosevelt in his Roughrider uniform? You say you don't know about what something is on a uniform. Obviously the designer did. Remember you're dealing with a world wide audience that can quickly pick up on your missteps. Would you go into an important exam without studying? Besides all that, I like the bold designs that the designers come up with and wish that they could be actually realized in real life.

Ok boston guy here going to rip sorry .. So Brown no plz stop browsing old bruins colors were Black and gold not brown and yellow. As for the flag or city jersey. That is the representation of Boston athletes society, (Boston marathon official colors) most of tge redsox use this themed uniform but i can see bruins or Celtics doing it makes sense. Other than that alot of concept ideas i like alot but some needs a little reduced features (trust me they rip me apart when i put alot on a jersey) so overall good job in late December neil my stadium rlvs jerseys concepts are coming so stay tuned for that

For canes: only white and black look good. Flag logo disappears on the red. City one is ugly.

Please, designers - as an Islanders fan of almost 50 years, NO MORE frickin' FISHERMEN (or isolated, DOOFY-looking 'NY's); bad ENOUGH we have to SUFFER it THIS of ALL seasons, for truly-BAFFLING reasons.....

The Flyers alternates are a miss, I think the bottom right jersey reference the other sports teams, that is my guess. Red for Phillies, green for Eagles, blue for Sixers and the orange for Flyers, who knows.

I find it crazy that people always bring up that pride stuff is just a marketing scheme but say nothing about and are completely fine veteran stuff it is a nothing issue that people are upset about for some reason

It's the same thing with Veteran stuff. Mostly a marketing gimmick. You're suggesting that I am not okay with Pride stuff, but am okay with veteran stuff? My comments suggested none of that, and in fact I was being the opposite and being critical of the NHL, not saying they shouldn't do it.

@@Post2PostProductions (sorry for the essay) I actually didn’t think you where ok with the veteran stuff the way you present your self in your videos would suggest otherwise, and I didn’t articulate that in my comment. My comment was more of a generalization than a statement towards you and again I should have made that clear. However in my opinion it is more positive for the NHL to do all of the pride stuff and veteran stuff. The point of sports really is to represent and representing multiple groups of people so they can come together and root for their team. It most likely a marketing scheme but I don’t care I like being represented by the NHL. They are a lot better than other leagues the NFL does do shit. That’s why I like NHL so much.
