Completely agree with you, this is up there with The Boys & Invincible for me!

The series is like a page turner. There are only 8 episodes and I watched them all in one sitting. It's a great show.

This cast is amazing. Alan IS Reacher, Malcolm is absolutely KILLING it and Willa has just the right amount of spunk, professionalism and charm. Amazon's best series to date.

@@lancetruong4957 Neither will Malcolm. Aside from Neagley and maybe a couple of others, Reacher books don't have a continuous cast of characters. Still, Willa and Malcolm deserve a lot of credit for crushing it.

Finley is one of the most complex, developed characters I've ever seen on screen - he's like a real person. I put it all down to Malcolm Goodwin. Great show!

I thought Finley was the most well done character in the show. Ritchson looks the part of Reacher from the book, but I thought his acting was so-so. Yeah, Goodwin did a great job. I would rather see a show based on his future than another Reacher with Ritchson. I just could not help but think all of the emphasis was on Reacher's size and power, and little else. I doubt I would watch season 2.

@@shenmisheshou7002 The first scene where Reacher de-escalates the domestic outside the cafe by *staring blankly* I thought the same thing... the exchange didn't feel real, just scripted - and that's not what you want! No idea the order of filming, but for me, Ritchson eventually gave Reacher a good mix of strong stoicism and charisma which was exactly what you want from the character. Overall great casting, IMO.

@@rhymingreason I will be honest and say that I was not that big a fan pf the Killing Floor book (the only one I read) but I decided to give the series a try and I just struggled to develop any investment in the Reacher character (and I was unable to in the book either), but at least some of that I attribute to the actor's performance. It wasn't a bad performance, but it just did not make me want to invest any emotion into him. Malcolm Goodwin by comparison, made me want to root for him in his role of Oscar Finlay. Willa Fitzgerald was decently good as Rosco, but *Goodwin gave the performance that kept me watching* . I would love to see a spinoff maybe with him and Fitzgerald.

Lee Child has retired from writing anymore Reacher books but has turned the franchise over to his younger brother Andrew Grant who is a best selling author in his own right. They collaborated on the last 2 Reacher books. I am confident Andrew will do just fine.

Alan was absolutely perfect as Reacher! It really felt like the character came to life

The three of them had phenomenal chemistry. I couldn't imagine anyone else playing these characters. Well done!

It just shows when the original writer is involved with the show. Just the quality of the writing, the characters, everything shines

Alan Ritchson has great dramatic and comedic range. This was damn good casting. Season 2 when? 🤤

As former law enforcement and an ARMY Veteran, I critique these characters hard. I've read all the books too and was very disappointed with the Tom Cruise versions but Alan and crew did a great job bringing this to life. The hand to hand fighting is great, weapon usage is good, I could nitpick a few things but I'll save that for boring someone else. The dynamics of getting the interactions of the characters was crucial and they pulled it off. Season 2, Die Trying!

Roscoe/Willa Fitzgerald absolutely kicked this series up a gear. Ritchson and Goodwin were great, and I absolutely see how Alan brings Child’s vision for Reacher to the screen, but Roscoe was the perfect foil that helped him do that. Her drive and energy were fantastic, and I’m really going to miss her in the second season.

My husband and I sat down to start watching this show and ended up watching every episode back to back!! I’m ready to watch it again! Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher is absolute perfection, and all the characters draw you in and get you hooked into binge watching the entire season! I’m ready for Season 2 (please and thank you)!

Having read all the books, I was impressed by how the casting was right on. THIS Jack Reacher is the real deal! Looking for the rest of the books . . .

Watching Malcolm Goodwin as himself one realizes how differently he carried himself and spoke and even had different facial expressions while in character as Finley. What a great acting job and creation of a distinct character.

Absolutely loved Roscoe’s character. Very well done Willa.

I liked everyone but Ritchson. I know that he matched the physical description in the book, but he was all hulk with so-so acting skills. Malcomb Goodwin was superb as Finley and Willa Fitzgerald did a really fine job as Roscoe, but I just could not find myself enjoying the principle character. There are rumors that Roscoe might get a spinoff.

Same. I went into it thinking I wouldn't like her character, after the very first scene in the jail when she booked him. I feared that it would be too forced and feel like any generic "tough-chick-who-is-just-as-badass-as-any-man" type role where the whole point of the role would just be to be a tough chick without any depth or nuance, but it turned out to be a very interesting and nuanced character, and Willa was effing great. At the end of the show she was my favorite, by a mile. And that's not because the other roles were bad. She just owned that character.

@@shenmisheshou7002 that's your opinion but he did his best and was a lot better than Tom Cruise. He's the best Reacher so far...so so acting is his character. He shows less emotions, he's intelligent. Ritchson played that very well..

So good to see Alan get his due. He's paid his dues in great roles and some not so great. 1000% deserved.

My favorite line of the whole season was at the bbq place, after the waitress delivers the food. Reacher looks at Finley & his food and says "I was embarassed ordering that." I had to pause, I was cracking up.

I loved everything about the show. The casting is just insane. Willa is my favorite in this because she's a chameleon. What an actress she is. The way that tiny woman holds her own against that giant is amazing.

Alan Ritchson is Lee Child's Jack Reacher. He killed it.

Every actor could not have played their role any better! Fully embraced their characters. Phenomenal series. One of the best out there. period

I wish Malcolm could be recycled into more “Reachers”. His character was super interesting and he really made the guy someone you wanted to get to know better. Obviously Alan will be around, but I’ll miss Malcolm.

I like it when Finley tells Reacher to basically not break the law and Reacher says "no". When you're that big you can do that. 😁

The show was incredible. Yes, PLEASE have 25 more seasons.

I am a huge fan of Lee Child and his Reacher series, and I totally loved the Amazon series. Can't wait for the next season! The viewer wants more!

I read Willa's Bio and she is incredibly accomplished and classically educated and trained...she was amazing on screen and Good Lord she is cute and beautiful.

If every season is as great as the first I'd watch all 25 seasons multiple times just like I already have with the first.

Jack with Willa's charactor was really great, writers should bring her back in future seasons!

I’ve read all the books, enjoyed every one. He is Reacher, they got it right.

This series is so great. I plan to watch it again this weekend for the 2nd time. Every person casted for their role was perfect, especially for Reacher, Roscoe, and Finley.

I did exactly that. It was even better the 2nd time watching, I could pick up (and enjoy) many little details I missed the first time, because I was fan-girling so bad. 🥰 I am so happy this series has been made, and just like Mr. Child, I wish for AT LEAST another 25 seasons. If only Roscoe and Finlay could come back. 🙄

Sadly, Fitzgerald and Goodwin won't be returning for future episodes per the book series. They both lent such a enjoyable dynamic to the season 1 storyline!

I have never “binge” watched anything till Reacher! Was not even sure what the term meant… till Reacher! OMG, from the moment I saw the first teaser come out I was on the edge of my seat.

1:13 funny enough this was what pulled me into his character The look he had in his face in that scene was almost too perfect to embody the character I remember replaying that moment over 10 times and going “wow these guys really nailed this casting”

I read at least 16 of the books and I'm so happy to see it on TV. Great casting. I am extremely impressed with the acting.

The little mannerisms (hand waving and gestures, breathing patterns, voice tone shift) made the character so much alive and believable. A great acting performance in subtle, yet very accurate small things.

How about Haward Rollins in "In the Heat of the Night"?

Binged watch this in one night. No regrets! Wish I could watch more. Super engaging. The Character of Reacher played by Alan Ritchson is cast so well! This series has a great future ahead! Really helps that it has the creator involved!

This series, the actors and the story lines knock it out of the park!! Love this! Hope they keep doing more!!!

How have I not been picturing Alan Ritchson all along while reading the books? He's a natural for the part.

Ave just watched the whole series, it was bloody brilliant. Can't wait for the next season, Alan Richson was just perfect as Reacher and the supporting cast was fantastic 👏👏👏👏💜

Finally someone worthy of playing Reacher. It's strange but the moment he laughed i instantly heard Reacher after watching Season 1 a few times. I sure hope they have more flashbacks of young Reacher and Joe. Also have to give Amazon props for not screwing this up and Season 2. Blasted through Season 1and am on it again just like the books they are well worth going over and second and third time. To Lee i wish you all the best with your health and i'm sure your nephew will do you proud.

On episode 4 of Reacher now and couldn’t be more pleased!!! Great casting, story, drama, and action. Gonna have to wait and watch the rest with my wife after she gets a chance to catch up. Maybe, lol!!

Having read all Lee Child Reacher books...I approached this series with some trepidation. However, they nailed it! Alan is spot on and the supporting cast were terrific. As the whole series was just one book....can't wait for many more season of Reacher!!

I loved it. The story was very well done and kept the viewer interested and engaged. I watched it a month ago and just finished rewatching it for a second time. I have heard Amazon has already signed on for S2.

I too love the Reacher series...I saw the one with Tom Cruise in it, but I didn't leave me wanting to read the books...I want to read all the books now...so I think I'm going to have a Summer full of Lee Child. I love this season of Reacher and I hope they bring it back next season with more episodes.

Very good interview and what a great first season for Reacher. Looking forward to more. I only know Alan as Thad Castle lol, so seeing him excel in this role is so awesome. Continued success to this show and this franchise (hopefully).

Friends have come over and I’ve watched it 4 times now, the cast is superb. The kids and parents in the flashbacks. Mr Mosley, to the waitress. They all made this movie happen. It will interesting to see who comes back for the ( next 5 series ) just hoping.

What a fantastic pleasure this was to see after the disappointment of the movie with Tom Cruise. No offense to Cruise's talent, but the public really wanted to see a hulking monster like Ritchson- and his perfect personality and tone that comes straight out of the novels. Lee Child should be proud of his find in Ritchson and I binged on this and cannot wait for season two.

This is one of those series where I was told to watch, didn't really fancy but actually sat down and enjoyed. 10/10!

I love Lee Child's Jack Reacher character... Have read all the books and listened to all the audio books... and Alan is exactly what i had invisioned him to be.... and I have watched the Reacher Season 1 5 times already.... this is how much I have enjoyed it...

The trio was well developed , i dont see anyone outshining the other while full knowing Reacher is the main guy. Roscoe played it well and had her moments just as much as Finley had his moments and they were done while in the presense of the main character. Some shows do the 1 episode focus on a certain character to hype them up but this show managed to show the characters positive and bad sides while keeping them together.

We all have back stories that show up in what we are made of. I appreciated that in this series.

Confession!! I binge watch a season every day!! I take one day off!! This show is so compelling and different in the best way possible. Can't wait for Season 3.

I've read every book of Lee childs reacher series and this is very close to the actual book. Alan is what I pictured as Jack Reacher
