¡Gracias por esta maravillosa reacción! Cuando Amira y David grabaron esta canción, nunca se habían conocido en persona. David Cerna vive en Anaheim/California/USA y su lengua materna es el español. Amira Willighagen vive en Potchefstroom/Northwest Province/Sudáfrica. Habla afrikáans, holandés e inglés, pero no español. Antes de esta grabación, sin embargo, había practicado su pronunciación en español a través de Internet con David como profesor. Por eso ahora es tan perfecta en eso. Los dos se conocieron en persona por primera vez en diciembre del año pasado y realizaron dos conciertos juntos en Los Ángeles y Cypress. Amira también apareció como estrella invitada en el concierto de Navidad en el Spreckels Organ Pavilion (el instrumento musical al aire libre más grande del mundo) en San Diego. Great reaction! At the age of 11, Amira sang Ave Maria composed by William Gomez, the lyrics of which are all in Spanish. The composer has since passed away, but his brother posted a comment praising Amira's interpretation and saying that his brother would be thrilled. The title of the video is "Amira Willighagen - Ave Maria Gomez (Canisius Church, Nijmegen) - Christmas Concert 2015". It was filmed with a fancam, but what Amira does in this video is out of this world. Thanks.

Hello ! Really happy to see your reaction to this new Amira's performance. Muchisimas gracias ! You said everything about her progression and her Spanish diction. And yes, she's definitely more seasoned now and her voice is more and more powerful. As Leonard Cohen said in his song, about the power of music, I've heard there was a secret chord That David played, and it pleased the Lord. So did Amira with her angelic voice... 😃 PS. El compositor ya ha fallecido, pero su hermano publicó un comentario alabando la interpretación de Amira y diciendo que su hermano estaría encantado. El título del vídeo es "Amira Willighagen - Ave Maria Gomez (Canisius Church, Nijmegen) - Concierto de Navidad 2015". Fue filmado con una cámara, pero lo que hace Amira en este vídeo es de otro mundo.

To me their is no one else that to my heart like Amira. I like David too. He lives in my home state of California. However, I have not heard of him until now.

Entonces yo soy un fan di Amira, realmente y definitivamente... Però debo decir che a nivel vocal la soprano màs dotada de su generaciòn era la eslovaca Patricia Janeckova. Desapareciò tragicamente el ano pasado a los 25 años de edad. Aquì puedes escucharla cantar La pastorella delle alpi di Rossini con subtitulos en español. Tenía sólo dieciocho años en esto momento. As a HUGE Amira fan , i really miss Patricia. May she rest in Peace 🙏🌹. Patricia was a big Amira fan too. Both GREAT SINGERS ,VOCALIST AND SOULS.

Great! Yes David Cerna comes from South American heritage, so he is fluent in Spanish. He helped Amira with her pronunciation on this collaboration. He also played the piano! They are promising to work together in the future, so look for more work from this pair. You might find it interesting to compare this with Amira , at 11, singing Ave Maria, Gomez, in Spanish. I bet you notice an improvement.
