Re:zero is the most realistic fantasy anime i have ever seen. It's interesting to see how things go wrong in the anime. If magic and stuff like that were real, the world would be a chaos, and many people would die by other people abusing of their power. This stuff still happens in real life until this day.

The director’s cut actually aired in Spring 2020 or something, but yeah this is weird (btw the DC didn’t really change anything, aside from a few minuscule changes, especially when compared to BD version)

The show only gets better as you watch it. It's like an onion with layers with its lore and secrets. The more you watch, the more dialogue and character actions take on WHOLE NEW meanings. I do love this show very much. You can watch it once....and be amazed by its mystery and characters. Watch it twice, and be shocked by how much different everything means now with more context.

yeah, it was an opportunity for him to become the 'main character' of the story- somebody important and respected, at least in his eyes then this world literally kicked his teeth in until he realised he had to become a better character before any of that could happen

When series 2 is complete, I hope they do a directors cut of that too :D followed by series 3.

She’s not very well liked to say the least and hanging out with her would likely get him into trouble, which Subaru finds out the hard way. It didn’t work though since Subaru is from another world and the name Satella didn’t mean anything to him.

When will the Re zero haters realise, i wonder, that in this show the characters and their development is more importent than the plot.

​@@HearMeLearn Yea, but s2 develops not only 2-3 characters but almost the whole main cast. We get Sabaru, Emilia, Garfiel, Roswaal, Beatrice, Otto and Ram development in just 25 eps. Also if we ever get a season 3, the focus will be switched to the plot, but still lots of char development is yet to come.

The storytelling is so amazing, the characters are awesome, and wow the cliffhanger at the end tho! I need to get on to watching season 2 asap! I really didn’t know what I was in for when watching this but I loved every second of it! Also yes this is very important, best girl is Rem, (yep, I’m just like everyone else lol) although Emilia is a very close second.

Tappei has been quoted as saying there will be 11 arcs. The Japanese web novel (the source material) is currently in the early parts of Arc 8. The anime covers Arcs 1-3 in Season 1, and Arc 4 in season 2. Season 3 will probably cover Arc 5 (and is in production now.) I don't know about Arc 6, it's a very long one and may not be able to fit into a single season. But we can hope. I share your concern. I'd rate this as above Mushoku Tensei, if it wasn't for that being finished in its source material while Re:Zero will take another 8 years at the going rate. But regardless, I'm excited for season 3 being in development presently.

Why do people say Subaru is weak? Sure compared to other people in his verse he’s physically not that strong, but he beat up 3 thugs several times, one with weapons and another one is size ably strong(assumingely), he has a 70 kg grip which means its over 150 pounds, bench more than the average human(as a teen) and a 120km pitch

He's above average in the human world but that doesn't mean much in the world he was isekai'd to, as far as protagonist's go he's incredibly weak but in terms of mental strength he's up there with some of the best.

He is pretty strong for a normal person with no formal training is how I see it. Facing off against anyone with actual training or experience he generally sucks without help, so physically compared to his opponents hella weak.
