Glad you reposted. I got half way before your reaction the other day but slept because I had an early morning meeting. Imagine my disappointment when I went to finish it

My dude BANGSO! As a yank it's great to see someone from abroad who gives feedback on the league and national team in a constructive way as opposed to what's normally out there. If you want to learn more on the US Mexico rivalry I recommend watching a documentary called Good Rivals, it'll explain everything. Keep up with the cool vids! (And GO SOUNDERS!)

Tim Ream is at Fulham, not Zimmerman. Great video though.

You don't see much of Davies for good reason - the US were marking him every time he touched the ball in the midfield with Brenden Aaronson harassing him at every turn. He's Davies, so he'll always break free eventually, but it seemed like he was so desperate to take advantage of the few times he had time and space that he was rushing his touches. He had an opportunity to break free up the sideline and had a horrible touch that went out. He shanked several crosses and shots. Was a total non-factor, honestly. I think with time/experience he'll settle down and not feel the need to play hero-ball on every touch.

Chris Richards is from my hometown Birmingham, Alabama. My wife is a childhood friend of his and I played in the opposing club in town. He was at Bayern for a few years but just made the move to Crystal Palace last year

US has a far better record head to head against Mexico since 2000, but it's never been a total domination the way it was this last game.

While everyone seems to think that Mexico has dominated the US/CONCACAF until recently. This isn't really the case. In head to head matches since 1980: Mexico 12 wins, USA 21 wins, 17 Draws. However, the recent unbeaten streak has been very impressive. I do think the most important takeaway from the Nations League Semifinal is that for the first time, I think that the US team looked like undoubtedly the more talented team on the pitch at pretty much every position. Until now I'm not sure you could have truly said that, but it looks like the script has finally flipped and everyone is going to be chasing the US as far as individual talent is concerned if things continue to trend in this direction.

Your video on MLS stadium's earn my SUB. I really do appreciate the way you explain your opinions and facts. That being said, I want to know what you expectations are for STLSC over next 5yrs and the same for Fulham. It's about time the USMNT started understanding how they're being undermined by the USWNT. Plus Americans are starting to see the dollar signs and fame in soccer/football! Keep up the great work. If soccer were the top sport in the USA from the BEGINNING (late 1800s) and the US had a proper soccer culture like Europe and South America where players grew up playing the sport and understood the skill and technique that was needed, the US would have already won multiple World Cups. I’ve explained this many times. It’s not saying the US would have people like Lebron dominating. We might have someone like Steph Curry, but it would be mainly guys we haven’t heard of who maybe played college 🏀 but would have been amazing ⚽ players. In the alternate reality where soccer ⚽ is always our top sport, our top players are guys who probably played high school basketball or American football but were 5’8-6’ and were too small to be in NBA or NFL. Because 🏀 and 🏈 are our top sports, our most famous athletes are in those sports and don’t have ⚽ body types. Our most famous athletes are people who don’t have soccer ⚽ body types but are the only ones we know, because they are in our top sports. If Spain only played 🏀, we’d never know about Iniesta, if England only played American football 🏈, we wouldn’t know of Phil Foden. Imagine an alternate reality where Spain didn’t play soccer much, only basketball. Their most famous athletes would be basketball players with basketball physiques. So if they said “we’d be much better if we always loved soccer,” people would say “you’re telling me Pau Gasol would dominate soccer?” That is where we are with the U.S. I’m talking about the what if scenario if soccer was the top sport in the US from the late 1800s, like in Europe. In that scenario, the US would have a proper soccer culture where we actually understand how to develop soccer players properly. At present we DO NOT have that because; 🏀 and 🏈 have been our top sports along with ⚾ forever, and they emphasize athleticism, so American sporting culture is more focused on athleticism and has no understanding about the fact that technique is what matters in ⚽. Another thing we have that holds the US back is pay to play. But pay to play developed SPECIFICALLY because soccer was always a fringe throw away sport in the US; and thus developed into a suburban upper middle class sport that was more recreational than serious. In popular sports in the US like 🏀 and 🏈, most of the top players came from lower class backgrounds, like Lebron James. Because we understand the sport we don’t have a pay to play thing keeping talented poorer athletes. If soccer were the top sport in the US from the beginning, we’d have that. Also, if soccer were the top sport in the US from the beginning, the US would have one of, if not the top league, because the US has so much money it would attract foreign players supplemented with American players. Therefore, every US World Cup team would be filled with starters and stars in a top league (US league in this scenario), like every big European team. And I’m not saying the US would have people like Lebron dominating. We might have someone like Steph Curry, but it would be mainly guys we haven’t heard of who maybe played college 🏀 but would have been amazing ⚽ players. Because 🏀 and 🏈 are our top sports, our most famous athletes are in those sports and don’t have ⚽ body types. If Spain only played 🏀, we’d never know about Iniesta. The U.S. would have a style somewhat like a France England mix except a much larger talent pool, using African American players before Europeans used black players, and would have won a couple of the earlier less competitive World Cups. Look at France from 1998-2022; 4 World Cup final appearances out of 7, and their 2 losses were in penalties. I suspect USA would be like France of 1998-2022 but from 1930. My guess is US wins 2-3 World Cups by 1970 and 2-3 World Cups between 1970 and today, so 4-6 overall

Just glad someone else is seeing how piss poor the refereeing has been for concacaf. More than anything else I believe the refs are a huge hindirance to the region as a whole. Mainly South American refs who let things boil over way too many times.
