They definitely have the potential to be. That term has different meanings for different teams. For a Germany or a France it must include a World Cup title. For a Panama it meant making the World Cup. For the US it means a decade of regional dominance and at least a World Cup quarterfinal. They can definitely do that.

They've always had this talent. GGG in the past just hasn't played or brought all the best players at once and also his old system prevented them from playing like this. It was hold the ball pass around back and fullbacks fly up overlap and hit a cross. Now we've had managers play Gio where he is best at the 10 spot centrally the fullbacks stayed back a bit and we played more free and less rigid because they didn't have Gregg there with his 1000 slide PowerPoint system that is too complex for a national team and hinders what they can actually do. Also we didn't drop back and defend as soon as we got a 1 goal lead we kept going.

I just wish we had more meaningful games in competition now. Seems like we need to make a America's Cup to bring in South American countries. 😆

What a satisfying Nations League campaign, we destroyed Mexico and put Canada back in their place: behind us, and won the whole thing, convincingly.

I've been watching USMNT since I was a young man starting the 1994 World Cup. This group of men are the best to wear the crest. There is a hunger for Copa American and World Cup 2026.

Man, watching this and seeing the vibes makes me hate the Gregg re-hire even more. BJ isn't some guru. He isn't a motivational speaker. But he understood how talented - and young - this team is, and he let them spread their wings and play loose. He made it fun for these guys again. Gregg has so much baggage. So many bad vibes. I fear it will stifle the progress and constrict the positive culture that was cultivated. Damn.

As disappointed as I am about the Greg situation I'm still extremely proud of where this team has gone since that Trinidad and Tobago game in 2017
