520 finals were put in mine(2),and the swr meter will not calibrate to set.Should I get the original tr 5 finals back in to correct the swr meter issue? Tks Mike

I haven’t tried to upgrade any finals in this yet, I know some radios you can up or lower a resistor value for this but I’ve not really looked into this. Stryker is being tight with schematics so it’s hard to figure out.

Also when you do instal finals you need to set the bias on them that may be your issue. Also check voltages.

Did they add a 10 kc jump feature to the new 69?

And Ranger could not give a flyin bang bang about U notifying them about QC...They so much as stated that to One of the biggest shops out east....

You’re not wrong they seem to have a specific part of the market and as long as they are selling they seem non receptive to QC.

Do you know anyone that has any Elkins linear for sale would love to find another 16 tube but I'll buy any and all thanks

These radios are made in a Vietnam sweat shop. The QA/QC is non existent... The variable resistors are junk. And the crystals are very unstable. Setting the Bias is near impossible.. At the price point the worst radios on the market.. Galaxy Ranger live in the shadow of Anytone..The AT5555NII is by far the best 10 meter export radio. for less than half the money of these big box shit shows...

YES! The AT5555NII is in my opinion the BEST mobile unit out today for the price. They hit a grandslam with this radio.

@@ELVISRN1 if your looking for a base 2995DXHP the AT5555NII is a mobile unit. Honestly if you’re looking for high power base the 2995DXHP is good if it’s aligned. The AT5555NII is a no brainer for the money and comes aligned.
