    The actual 1987 Toyota pickup was IFS. They dropped the solid axle after 1985. I know, I had one and loved it! Love to build this kit.

    Was IFS from 85 and after in USA only? I see 87 and 88 hilux with solid front axle here in Europe.

    Had one of those trucks and that's what movie is the reason I got it think it would be a perfect truck for a tribute it's what route I go it's a Iconic truck been wanting to build a scale truck and this looks like it be the one keep up great work and can't wait to see it

    I "accidentally" made one.. I just made a black yota from the proline body and everyone commented that "just a few tweaks and this is THE mcFly yota", and actually it was pretty cool.. I didnt finish the mcFly look on it but sold it to a buddy of mine taking a different approach on it.. :D i.imgur.com/0vVRXgh.jpg

    Francis That’s going to be a long fun build I just finished building the 1985 four runner the whole truck is going to look the same as my buddies Real steal rock climber when all said and done Rc4WD have really gone beyond with there design and details on all there hardbodies

    Will this "roughly" fit the trx4 defender body? (cutting/shaping ok. Its for my defender perentie build, can't find a rear ute/bed for it anywhere)

    Dude you have to do it in black and you’ve got to put a chrome roll bar in the bed total 1980s style some KC lights would be cool as well if I remember right that truck had hole shot style black wheels

    It's identical to the 85 Toyota other than 85 was the last year of the solid front axle 86 and newer they switch to IFS with a leaf spring rear

    Nice.....I bought one of these as a shop truck for my dyno shop back in day.........2 wd stock- 135 hp at the flywheel......ours was just about 180 whp less than 3 weeks after delivery with a slightly larger turbo and extra set of injectors.....Last I heard it just hit 300K😁. Other than the legendary toyota reliability....I don't miss it.....these pickups have nooooo traction......you can spin the rear wheels with the stock normally aspirated motor. If its wet outside.......

    Im definitely buying this. I have the real truck 1:1. The marty mc fly truck is a 1985 toyota pickup tho the last year they sold the solid front axle factory trucks in america was 1985

    Not quite. Maybe the PACK edition with no wheel wells. The problem is the rear shock towers on a normal vehicle are high. Sometimes you can lay down the shocks to get them out of the way.

    RC Review there’s a style of the new Boom Racing modular beadlocks that have the polished ring and the Black centers. Might be a good option for the McFly truck

    Does not unfortunately. Deep pickup beds need leaf springs for clearance.
