1985 Toyota Xtra Cab SR5 Pickup 4×4 - a Black Beauty. In my entire Radio Control hobby career on KZread (check my videos page), I have always wanted a Marty McFly Toyota Truck. I remember first seeing it on screen in the famous scene during the original "Back to the Future" movie back in the 80's.. Biff was waxing Marty's new truck. I believe it was most young boys dreams to have a truck that was THAT COOL later in life.. and many of us finally get one, with this release from RC4WD. Its very expensive.. and really for what you get.. not really worth it, in my opinion (much like the price on ANY "ready to run" stock setup), but this certainly gets the driver going.. and the imagination flowing! I will be upgrading my truck.. and am so happy to have this is my garage!

Very Cool Aaron. I grew up in the 80's too and always loved this whole series. Ultimate cool would be to find or make a 1946 Ford for Biff but then you'd likely need a manure truck too 🤣

my buddy had an identical version of this when we were 16 that was two door no extendo-cab. lifted, manual, fun as hell. i've always loved that truck and have had either a tacoma or a 4runner ever since

By far my favorite truck! As soon as I seen it in the movie, I wanted it more! But I do agree, for the price, a little more detail in packaging wouldve been nice, but it still bomb! Can not wait to see it in the trails!
Even with its imperfections I still think it's a nice looking rig. I still like watching the Back to the Future movies from time to time.

Maybe a wild idea, but maybe you could build a mini crawler course on a wall of the poolroom, Something in the region off what crazy joe had at his garage ?! You could even build bridges over corners off the pool and routes that go up to the higher beams in the room!! That would be just amazing and a nice project for the winter time! And you have more than enough space there plus then you can crawl no matter the temp or weather!

That's a really nice engine bay and interior. Wowsers ! Lots of extremely detailed features. This will look nice on display as well as in the mud .

Nice! It's on my wish list too! I agree, they should have included steel sliders too! I would bet the steel sliders for the TF2 LWB would fit this body sa well as the Mojave. I've been rocking the 4dr Mojave version since 2018 with the stock radio and only changed the motor (65t) and esc middle of last year. Geared it down with a 10 tooth pinion to get some better low speed control. The esc is a $18 Chinese 4s with a cooling fan. You're the one who got me hooked on the trail finders!

First just let me say, great video as always. That’s one awesome looking RC trail truck 🛻 you have there. I too have had the same problem with an RC truck 🛻 I purchased from RC4 WD. The body had scuff marks all over the body. It looked bad considering the truck only came with a cab and roll bars in the back half. It looked 👀 as if someone had been playing with the truck before they shipped it. Like you said , it’s a trail truck and sooner than later it’s going to get scratched up. 🇨🇦👍👍

Great looking little truck! I ended up putting a hobby wing 10-80 and a cheap Holmes hobbies trail master sport in mine. Also got it on my futaba radio. You aren't kidding about those rtr electronics.

Eh as for the scuffs, maybe it will buff. I have leaf springs on some gmade axles I bought. Just to build a super scale tow rig. As for the drivers,I rob my son's action figures. Have had Spiderman driving recently.
Hell yes! I have always wanted that model but other things always come up. Someday!

A grand for the lack of quality control is ridiculous. That should not be an issue. That’s insane. I’ve wanted to buy an rc4wd just so I don’t have to make everything myself and they just lookin so good as far as scale looks goes but the fact that they let stuff like you showed go by after charging a grand is kind of mind blowing you should not have any issues at frecking all. Say it’s your first rc ever. Id be salty af. It still does look amazing id def have to redo some stuff right out of the box.
This would go well with Troy's super scale build too! I have a friend who is a super big back to the future nerd.
