Phil Herd is a must visit. It’s a great track. I race Loganville almost every race they have. The Barn is fun and also not really that far from Atlanta. Chehaw is fun as well. It’s on like a campground type land. It’s a unique track but fun and fast when it’s figured out. Also I don’t know if it counts but there is a new hobby shop and track that opened in Cochran Ga. Right now it’s a covered oval track but I think they are trying to get multiple tracks at their location.

I use to race at Phil Hurd Raceway when it was run by Phil Hurd "The Colonel" and the club name was Savannah Chatham Off-road Racing Enthusiast (S.C.O.R.E.). I currently live in Warner Robins, GA near Perry, GA and yes there are a few tracks here that seem to be growing but I haven't raced in years. I use to race with Patrick Rossiter's dad and knew him when he was five and now races quite a bit.

The club is still named SCORE, I just joined recently

I have visited Loganville RC track before and drove my Team Associated RC8B4E and TLR 8ight XE elite. I plan to visit the Barn some day as well.

We have an off road track here in Perry GA that runs mainly 1/10th but some 1/8th

It’s a nice track for 1/10 scale and 1/8 buggy.

That north GA rc desert extends north into Chattanooga, TN where I live. There's not a track within an hour and a half drive from me.

Wow, where I am in England I have six tracks within a 45 minute drive of me. Indoor 1/10 (carpet), outdoor 1/10 and 1/8 (astro) and 2 more that do on road racing. They are all really well attended too. I feel spoiled now.

Yeah looking at track abundance in the UK and Europe as a whole makes me very jealous

As a new Racer I am happy to see your video for Georgians. I’ve lived here I. Savannah for a while and never knew that Phil Hurd was there and now I’ll be racing my 10th scale on Dec 12th. Keep it up! Really learning a lot from your content

@@RoachRC Its going great! I placed 3rd at the last race. Has really convinced me that i need a 1/8th scale for these outdoor tracks to have more fun in a bigger class, but for now really enjoying it! Maybe we will see you down here sometime looking forward to the next race on Feb 11th. BTW thanks for the check in still really enjoy watching your videos.

Lived most of my life in CA, fairly disappointed that there are no tracks in north GA. I hope one will pop up soon. Its in need of one. If you build it, people will come.

Track listings are so unreliable. When I was thinking of getting back into the hobby about a year ago, I went to the local Hobbytown and asked if there were any on-road tracks in Indy. They said no. Turns out there’s a very active one on the south side that’s been there for years, Indy RC Raceway. There is also an indoor, carpet off-road in Indy, Turf Burners. I don’t know if they were straight up lying at Hobbytown because they sell 99% crawlers and bashers, or they didn’t know… because bashers and crawlers. Anyway, thanks for the video and hopefully this helps Georgians.

I have found Hobbytown stores to answer lots of questions incorrectly if it doesn't help or boost their own franchise .

Are any of these tracks open for people to just show up for fun? I'm not into competitive RC racing. I just want somewhere to drive my slash.

Great video! I’m also in Georgia (North Atlanta area), and I’m curious if there are any places other than tracks you and others go to practice or drive?

Thanks for this! I am one of the unlucky in North Georgia. Aside from race days, are any of these tracks open for practice runs and friendly playing about? Would love to take my kids to the area for a day of hiking or sight seeing and stop in for some RC fun, but couldn’t do a schedule and we don’t have any real race quality trucks/buggies yet.

I know the Barn does occasional practice days from time to time. They usually post it in their Facebook group as to when they do it. Also don't worry about having a "non race quality buggy or truggy". It's about having fun.

Chehaw is in a state park. The track is open for practice when the park is open. HobbyTown "The Yard" is open for practice when store is open. The only time the off-road is not fully available is on Wednesday when oval configuration blocks one jump. The rest are left open usually with arrows indicating direction off-road track is being run.

Thanks for this video. Kind of depressing that everything is 1/8th scale but eh, the hobby evolves I guess. Guess I'll have to get used to making the trip to ERC.
