In this video, we compare two runs from two very talented drivers in two very badass class 3 rigs! This video breaks down two runs on the same course by Luke from ScumbagRC in his G-Speed G-Shot and Zac from Utah County Crawler in his RC Speedy Moon Buggy-so strap in and lets get wheelin’!
The channel has become familiar with the Scumbag-mobile, the G-Speed G-Shot with a Power Wagon body by DonutBoyRC and all matchy-matchy purple goods, but I do have to say, I think this RC Speedy Moon Buggy has a look all to its own that is quite incredible! Even if you’re not into tube-chassis crawlers, I think this rig can turn heads in any crowd. SO, let’s see how they do in this Stansbury Island Cash Comp out near the Great Salt Lake!

The G-Shot just seemed way more composed. I really like the idea of the line being attached to the winch stick, more like being pulled out by another rig. Thanks for the vid! 👍

The G-Shot definitely has a great advantage not having to deal with the dispersed weight that comes with a full-on metal cage. That said, the Speedy is still a new build, so I'm excited to see how it gets better as Zac spends more time with it. The GT5 is an awesome controller! I'd also recommend checking out the Noble if you're willing to fork out the cash for it-I believe that's what Luke is using now. 🤘🏼

What portals should I go with for a “class 3” rc speedy r2 ? I’m between the f10 portals or f9 Capra portals

Both are great options! I think different people will give you different answers. I’m partial to the Capra axles for ground clearance or the vanquish option for steering angle.
Who makes this maxxis trepadors? They don’t quite look like the axial ones.
