What I would like to know from Don the owner of the fast electric 1985 Miller American is, "Where did he place the batteries? And what size are the batteries?" In my 1/8 scale Miller American I'm trying to stuff two 5S 18.5 volt batteries up front where the driver sits to make the center of gravity ideal. Maybe the smaller 4S battery times two would be better? My Leopard Hobby LBP4092-B-930KV electric motor is not installed yet because I can't decide on the placement of the batteries. I understand it's a ancient Chinese secret what kind of gear everyone is running but from someone who is guessing at what hardware goes into a hull that was originally designed to run on nitro I can only guess where everything should go.

@@M5PerfHydros Some day I would still like to pick Don's brain about where he installed his two batteries. Thanks Scott for all you do in the remote control unlimited hydroplane boating community. I feel like I'm building a Unicorn here with 1/8 scale kit (43 inches long by 21 inches wide) and using fast electric running gear. I"m having problems stuffing two 5S batteries into the Dumas branded all wood unlimited hydroplane kit when the hull-framing members are designed to accommodate a 0.67 cubic inch nitro burning engine and fuel tank. I bought the Electronic Speed Control Swordfish Pro + II 240A ESC KV because it is capable of handling anywhere from 4S to 12S Lipo batteries.
