RC DRIFT TOK LEGEND - VIRAL VIDEO

Jordan a.k.a. @RCDriftTok has over 4 BILLION views of his precision driving skills. I make up about half of those views LOL, I've watched his channel so much.
His skills are incredible and I got to meet the man behind the legend to see how he does it and find out whether my big car driving skills transferred to little cars using my fingers. In my mind... it seemed plausible.
Mostly - I just wanted to film really cool moves and Jordan is a really cool guy - so this video is an insight to how became the World's #1 Remote Control trick shot hero and some never seen before trick shots.
I hope you like the moves and especially the infamous APPLE TEST from my old Top Gear days as The Stig. Thank you @RCDriftTok for an awesome day and to the Centric team for capturing some great footage - and to Car Vertical for sponsoring this film.

    @@ScopeMM2 If you want to go to drift tracks I recommend the MST RMX RTR as a good starter with lots of upgrade options for the future. If you are more interested in car park slides either the FTX Banzai or MJX hyper go are fun and more affordable.

    Best thing about RC drifting is that you can run through countless packs and at the end of the day the cars still looks brand new

    That was so damn cool! Love how little stig was there in the background giving a critical stare down at the drifting, or lack thereof. Let’s see Jordan out on a track in a real car doing some apple smashing and drift stunts. Also, nice F1 jacket. 😎

    I honestly just joined the hobby last year as well and started joining competitions at the end of November and I'm pretty much hooked now. Good thing about RC drifting is its probably just as fun as the real thing at about a fraction of the cost, but staying competitive means you have to spend more than what you think you might need hahaha.

    Loved this episode. I used to drift a little with RC cars back when it was done with the 4 wheel drive road cars. It was much easier than this, from what I hear. Would love to try one of the rear wheel drift cars like these, they look far more challenging and rewarding. The 4x4 cars were surprisingly easy to drift tbh. Very fun too. That was back when we had to make our own wheels out of PVC pipe and before LIPO and brushless motors etc.

    Superb guys 👍👍👍👍👍 As a former rally driver and into racing I wasn’t that keen on drifting. However over the last few years I have grown to like it , especially the colour schemes / culture and tech . I saw RC drifting earlier last year on YT and thought it was pretty cool 😃. Love the detail of everything here the track / props etc 100% spot on. Love the presentation skills of Ben , so professional and well spoken, wicked background tracks too . Happy days and well done to you both ❤

    As a kid in the 90s, i always wanted to have a camera on the RC car to get a POV, but at that time it was basically impossible. Then i got older and grew out of it, but, looking at videos like these, the cameras went a long way and it is actually doable nowadays. Who knows, i might get an RC and have some fun with it.

    Very cool RC stuff. I would love to see a full arcade sim style control. Imagine a full driver's setup like the old Ferrari 355 arcade game with the seat, force feedback steering wheel, pedals, and shifter (not needed for this lol)? Just add a few cameras on the car and a modified unreal engine program to control the car and feedback. It would be a fun experience for sure.

    Having just picked up a Nintendo Switch recently (I know, super late to the party) and playing Mario Kart 8, we need a Stig plays Mario kart video. Drifting is a really big part of being fast in the game and you get to use the little steering wheel if you prefer that to a controller. I would find it interesting.

    Drifting an rc drift car without a gyro is like trying to drift a real car without EVER letting go of the steering wheel. The gyro in rc drift cars act like caster steering in real cars, so its more realistic to have a gyro than not.

  • @Graham_Patch
    @Graham_PatchАй бұрын

    Couldn't anyone be bothered to show Ben how to hold a pistol transmitter correctly? I know it seems counter intuitive, but the left hand does the throttle and the right hand does the steering.

    5:30 how can it be cheating. i drift irl and the steering wheel follows the direction of the car from the traction without me turning it. you basically steer a drift car with throttle , brake and weight transfer.

    Yeah i was thinking the same thing even if don 't do drift rc i do rc and when i drift like in dirt or on wet because i got rubber tires i don't have a gyro lol and it s not that hard to countersteer it yourself. Actually it does take the fun out, the hardest it is to drive the funiest.
