Rc, Axial; The Convertible was a Bad Choice!

What a cold morning!!! First had the cmax jeep out…, learned a lesson to not put an rc on the back of a truck tonneau. Accidentally hit the tx and off it went.., will need to do some body work;(. By the time I could get another rig., I decided for another larger tire rig; wasn’t sure how deep the snow would be when I could get back to the trail. It’s a little backwards having a door less , roofless, windowless rc out in a snow storm. Was a little concerned about the camera gear in such a strong wind storm!
Decided to trade a summer basher for this axial early bronco scxiii. Always liked this model, despite the lexan and it being a little large scale;). Could always hardbody the chassis in the future…. Fun to run on soft larger tires with a bit more cushion.
Really surprised how scale a lexan truck can look when custom painted. Still miss my axial lexan blazer, one of my favorite custom lexan trucks. Would love to know where it is;). The Scxii blazer had small enough wheel wells that a smaller tire didn’t look too out of place.
Figured out a few electronics issues, got rid of dig/ 2-speed servos.., dried out the rx. Running mamba x combo and stick servo.
Painted the outside of body, rims, roll cage, inner fenders.
I moved the shocks lower to link mounts (cut the original off). Limited the shocks to about 75-80mm.
Forgot to paint the front Ford emblem, probably paint it yellow.

Hahaha., so true! My fingers were hurting so badly afterwards…, can’t wear much for gloves trying to work the cameras and rc remote:). Appreciate it brother

Wow! That’s very realistic! Loved the video and the Bronco!👌😎👍 but the poor guy was probably freezing to death without a top on the rig!😂

Hahaha.., right; just like my poor fingers;). Another snow release today .., another jeep. Some reason all my large tire rigs are open door;)
