GRC's Tough Truck Competition

Ойын-сауық

One of the local crews put on a tough truck competition; what a blast. New builds first trail session., decided to take the custom xj wraith.., knowing it's too big and wide; decided to just have some fun.
Most of the footage is our local group with a few other rigs thrown in.., 1st and 2nd place went to the power wagons in our group.
The new build is an xj sitting on a wraith chassis., and og gcmracign wraith metalhead. The axles are just too wide for the 1.9s..., maybe 2.2's would have been better; but would never take it out with such large tires. Might try to narrow the axles or trade for some narrower.., but then I loose the weight of the metal heads. The metal cage is so heavy..., running just 80mm shocks I believe (proline).
The xj was narrowed by about 1" 1/4-1" 1/2 in the front and pinched by 2"1/2 in the rear. Probably should have bobbed the rear but wanted to keep the xj look. Might need to change a few things up in the future.
Old Holmes Brushless combo.., couldn't get it connected with castle link, unfortunately. The esc is set to more of a rock bouncer I believe.

I could watch your videos all day! Damn, just amazing. What frame rate do you record in? Im trying to figure out how you get the playback like that. Is it just a slowed down?

Thanks brother!!! Ya.., you hit it on the head. Slowed down by 60-80% 😬…, I shoot at 120fps and render at 23.9fps. I drive at a quicker pace and slow down in editing to get the desired look/ speed., never below the 23.9 mark. This last video was done with a GoPro because it was wet and a chance of rain.., otherwise it’s hard to find a camera with the ability to shot such high frame rate with good light:)

Way too kind sir.., slowly but surely we re all learning. Stability is key., if not than stationary mounts are nice to watch; not jittery.
