RC ADVENTURES - Home-made River Jump & RC JET Boats

SUBSCRiBE & “Ring the Bell" ► bit.ly/JOovvU - We built a Floating RC Boat Jump for our Streamline RC Thrasher Jet Boats. These boats do not have outboard props - rather an inner prop that is a "Jet Propulsion" system, much like full size Jet Boats. We are running 6s Lipo today, and really nailed it with our Floating Jump.
For those folks wondering how we built the jump - it was very easy. Some Corrugated Sheet Plastic (got it at Home Depot), some Empty Jugs, some "Gorilla Tape", a Rope & Anchor, as well as a Retrieval Line! We made sure to have a long, flat bottom, so the ramp would have a lot of surface area on the top of the water - as well as plenty of buoyancy with the milk jugs / water jugs you have laying around. By taping the rope VERY WELL to the bottom of the ramp.. it moved very little. If I was to do it again - I would use two anchors - to hold the ramp steady - though only one anchor made the ramp move around.. and was a fun challenge!!

+ Jayson - Try using POOL NOODLES... they are foam and really float well! Hope that helps

this is amazing. reason number 2376 why owning an rc is better than the real thing. You can thrash it, crash it, and give it all the torture you can dish out. if you break the real thing, it's hundreds or thousands of $$$. RC, bust it up, a little glue, a little tape, and a few bearings, you're good to go

You should do more of this! It looked like you and Everett had a lot of fun, and that always makes videos better. I really liked your rock bouncing vid as well. Maybe add more anchors to keep the ramp in place next time? Or would that get too much stuff stuck on it? Either way, love your vids!

Ohh man, 'Dinner' :-) or a monster from a 1980s horror b-movie 'Attack of the Green Water Slime Monster'. Oh well, cool video. This is what slo mo cameras was made for. Looks so cool. Great shots. Bashing on water. Would be fun if one could get a ramp that is turning and moving all the time for land also. Good jumps!
This was very cool dude!! Hope you let me try that ramp out. I love bashing at blackfoot and jumping but I'm thinking you don't break anywhere near the same amount of parts with the boat bahahaha!!

Hey man nice video! I was wondering if you could bring back the learning to drift series back it was one of my favorite series or anything rc drift videos that would be awesome!
You have to try this video again with the upgrades on!
Since you're on a river, where there's flowing water, why not mount some 'rudders' on the ramp's underside in-line with the ramp? These would keep it straight in the flowing water and help it straighten back up after a jump.

I like this idea... thank you! only thing I could see being a problem is the floating weeds getting caught on one side.. causing a spin with the current... Hmm.. Maybe a bevelled rudder would work well.. where the weed could slide off..
murica! and i wish i had a jet boat because i live around a lot of lakes and creeks i could drive one up the creeks around here have a lot of current but 6s would have no problem

Way cool video and good job on editing! Found a great deal on waterproof cameras today. Since my pond building has started I bought 3 of them. Giant Tiger, only $55. With many accessories. In Ontario anyways. My daughters GoPro costs almost $400. last year!
I hope they start selling these without the radio and receiver soon I really want to pick one up, awesome video!
