RCSparks Studio hey I loved this truck and got back into RC recently. My steering servo on my Latrax Teton is fidgeting when I try and turn and doesn't handle like I know it should. I have already had to replace it once. What do you think this could be since you know way more about RC trucks and thins than I. Since I focus on trains

Collin Allen im assuming you know what you are talking about... im a noob at this rc stuff. So I was wondering if I bought this truck and put in a fast brushless motor im talking like 40mph capable motor... would I still be able to put it in low lock the diffs and crawl along with unlock put in high and race arround?

But just like with any power system upgrade, if it's more power than the truck was designed around then it may require many more upgrades to hold up. i would just run the stock setup on maximum rated power (3s i think it is) until other people test it so you know what additional parts will need to be upgraded with the swap.

as always, YOUR VIDEO ROCKS Medic!!!! Appreciate all you do for the hobby and your followers. I used to be heavy in to rc's back in my military days and recently got back in to it when Traxxas offered the Summit Lipo version. I am disabled from am accident back then and I know I can always find one of your videos to help me out. I have wanted a scaler for years, but I kept holding out for Traxxas to come out. I have called them three times through the last several years asking if one was coming out because I was getting the itch to bad and almost bought an axial. Glad I held out!!!

by far the best test video on this truck. you covered it all and made the TRX-4 shine. hope to see more 😎

It seems that traxxas has done well with the choice of components and i really want to get my hands on this truck.

best TRX-4 video I've seen yet! I bought one today after watching this video! Great Job!!!!!

Its one of the most impressive stock scale trucks I've seen and was very surprised being that it was Traxxases first scale truck ever. Their design and research team did an amazing job

I think being able switch gears and lock diff's on the fly is nice. The clearance was also awesome.

best thing about Traxxas is they are like Associated in that everyone and their brother carries spares for them

Hands down the best video of the Trx4 on KZread ! Pretty awesome you filmed over different terrains, it really captures the trucks capabilities.

I've been looking at this truck for about a month now, on KZread. Went to my FLHS last week and DROOLED on it - went back today and picked one up! You NAILED it - this IS one INCREDIBLE truck! I'm already planning several upgrades, most notably the Link and a new body. My wife's favorite color is sapphire blue, and I'm going to buy the clear Lexan body, mask off the windows, and shoot the body color, then shoot the windows in smoke. After that comes all the light kits and other dress up stuff. By the time I've finished it, she should be fully qualified to drive it, and it's HER truck. P.S. Guys: don't tell her, it's her birthday present to replace her old Tamiya Blackfoot race truck.

Every video I watch of the trx-4 makes me want one more and more then I look at my bank balance 😥😥!

TRX 4 is looking good! Traxxas obviously put a lot of time into it and you are the only KZreadr who does it justice. Hoping to get one sometime, might even turn me into a Traxxas guy! Love your vids!

It's not. A true rock crawler it's a trail and sometimes rock crawling truck

I enjoy the nature soundtrack. I love to hear the vehicle making it's way down the path. The leaves and branches crunching & crackling is sweet music to my ears. Being able to hear the tires grabbing or slipping and the motor turning really pulls me into your videos. Your camera work is fantastic as well. The placement and angle at 3:51 increased my heart rate when she came over that hill coming out of the "jungle."

Great video as always. Traxxas really did something for the hobby with this model. If I break my Wraith or Yeti its instantly $100 and waiting for the UPS guy. If I break my Traxxas Rally usually its $20.00 and 10 minutes to the hobby store. Of course there will be the Traxxas haters (they just want to be different like everyone else) but there is a reason they are the most popular RC company on the continent.

Dude this thing is awesome I need to get it as my second or third Rc.

This is usually not my kind of RC, but well done on capturing how well it can be done. Seems like Traxxas did their homework on the rig. The portals are awesome to see on a scale truck. No doubt they'll be adapted to other platforms for their obvious advantage.

Just like a kid, speeding around town, doing burnouts til you break something. Speed breaks things. Low gearing and slow gets you there. In a rocky streambed like this one, i'd be in the lowest gear i had, crawling over the rocks easily. I've seen guys trying to climb a hill, engine revving, tires spewing dirt and rocks everywhere. When they can't get it up they back down in failure. Then i drive up in 100:1 double-low in my old rusty under-powered truck. Yours may be faster, but mine will go Anywhere.

Traxxas has out done themselves with this truck!!!!!!! this thing looks amazing! I need to sell my summit now so i can get this, i am beside myself right now. thanks for the great video again.

I think for at least your first run you should have left it stock because not everyone has the money to upgrade right out of the box... And besides people want to see how the truck runs... Stock... Because if you know its good with upgrades, how do you know if the truck its self (stock) is good?

I would think because everyone else can watch all the great videos by other KZread producers that are on a stock Traxxas. I cant believe people are giving me sh!t for enjoying the hobby the way I like to. Pretty sure that is what my hobby is about :) People sure expect a lot from a guy having fun and sharing his experience

The upgrade was minimal ;) Tire and rim of my choice, and esc swap for better drag brake performance and reduction of heat from the stock esc

Truly an awesome video my friend. I have not been overly impressed by the TRX until now. You have changed my opinion of this truck. Your setup is obviously spot on !!!!

In general I don't like crawlers that much , but the Traxxas engineers got it right this time I am really impressed , I think I will watch for this truck at my local hobby shop and make a budget to get everything , a decent charger , 2x 3s lipo packs . I will stick to the original ESC for a while and maybe put a fan on it since I won't do anything in water. This will be my nephew present for sure. Great video.

Need to save up my pennies....gotta have one of these babies in my life.

four times I have watched and shared with friends. That was some really unexpected bashing, can't say that I have seen you drive a vehicle so aggressively in a while, purposeful or proving a point? Either way, the results were impressive at showing the durability and the not quite as top heavy as you think. Great color, never noticed before the chameleon effect the body has with the surroundings, don't think the red does that. Really looking forward to your crawl now, I think we all know its a trail truck and you proved that aspect, but can it still astound us at the rocks... Before you do though, can you maybe find the cause of the drivetrain noise? Yours has been the loudest in all the vids. many many likes to you I just accidentally deleted the link to our friend in France. Yes, the aggressive driving is something I do with all of my new rigs. Durability testing, really. That way I know where it is weak. And I was very surprised and happy with this truck. I also did a similar video with the Capo Ace 1 Rock/Trail buggy a few weeks back. As for the loud sound.. my microphone is very sensitive and picks up a lot of the sound - especially when it is so quiet outside :)

Ryan Exley wheel base is longer but I'm guessing a little modding would make it work. but the trx is quite a bit bigger rig.

I found a proline body to fit on mine. The ford raptor body for the yeti lines up pretty decent and gave me a bunch more room to raise the bumpers up. Well I had to make bumpers since there's nothing out there for this thing but it's definitely performing a ton better!

Sure thing. The gloves are off. Traxxas brings us a serious capable rig here. Now it's up to the other manufacturers to step up their game a notch and come with something equal/better. For a long time we were used to trailcrawlrigs all based on the same concept. And now? Here comes Traxxas....
