I am looking at the NISMO 1.5 lift kit, this kit will make very slight contact when going fast over speed bumps, but for everyday driving on the roads there is no issues. NISMO has the UCA and they are spendy like everything else out there for the D41.

For real! Why is everything for the D41 so much more then the D40's?? I haven't heard anything bad about the NISMO stuff.
Looks good, I wanted to do a temporary spacer lift but really can’t find any for my 2023 Pro4X, so I’m going to wait till I can afford the Nisstec Lift next year..

All dogs offroad makes an aftermarket upper control arm for the frontier clears no problem. I have a 6" lift with 33s on a 2018 and put the alldogs upper control arms on, got alot more suspension travel.

I would prefer 2” lift on front amd 1.5” at rear to avoid the truck looking upwards and the tire to fender distance looks good. That 2.5 f and 1.5 rear If you put load on the bed it looks very odd.

If there is an air bag kit for the rear, installed, it would keep your rear from sagging under load.

Hey bro. What’s the size and type tire your running with this setup in this video? Don’t look stock size. Any trimming or melt needed?

It was stock size. 265/70/16 Firestone Destination MT2. no trimming it melting needed. Running a 305/70/18 now and much trimming was needed. (That video should be on here somewhere..)
I was looking into getting this same lift on my 2023 frontier as well. Do you think that rubbing issue is only a issue with offroading? probably would not happen with normal non off road driving ?

Yes. Off offroafing only (imo).
Is the contact of the control arm on the coil bucket constant or rare???
@4wdAdventurz
Жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure it's only when bouncing around. Off roading or something similar..
Spacer kits are ok for a street truck for cosmetics but for off road it could cause issues. It's better to invest in adjustable shocks like the bilstien 5100s .

Better solution, especially in this case but not always.
Nice truck - but Ground Clearance is measured from the lowest point - in the front that's the skid plate below the trans. My 2019 PRO4X had 9-1/4" stock and an Old Man Emu lift raised it to 11" . I raised the back 1" higher so the truck sets level when loaded for overland
How easy, or hard was it to install. I have a 22 pro 4x, and wanted to install these on my truck.
@4wdAdventurz
Жыл бұрын
I had a shop do it. But it's not too bad. I replaced the UCA's myself and it that process is 90% of that you need to do for the spacer. Better part of a day... A full day if you've never done it before..
Did you need different cam bolts? I wonder if z1 uppers would be good. Someone is selling their rough country lift for 70 bucks. I was going to get the z1 lift. For 70 bucks, i figured I'd grab his rough country lift. If that hits a lot, i may wait to install until i have z1 uppers. For daily driving, did that bottom out at all? How bad was it hitting off roading?
@4wdAdventurz
Ай бұрын
No cam bolts on mine. Seemed fine. No coil bucket contact when driving on road. Quite a bit offroad, though. I ran this set up for a while without UCA's. Coil buckets made it through it just fine. If you can spring for the UCA's, do it. If not...it's not a HUGE deal, in my opinion..
Can't see going wrong with rough country I've got the nismo upgrades billstien lift leveling kit & lightweight rims

I don't know if you know but they make some extended upper control arm ball joints that should fit. Nissan Frontiers are one of the highest rated trucks with some of the fewest complaints. They run for hundreds of thousands of miles. There’s even one that went 1,000,000 with basic maintenance on original engine and transmission. There’s no mistake in buying a Frontier.
