RBX Details Suge Knight Threatening Warner Bros. Over "A.W.O.L."

Ойын-сауық

www.vladtv.com - RBX spoke exclusively with VladTV about releasing his track, "A.W.O.L.," a diss aimed at Death Row and its artists, and the friction it caused with then-CEO, Suge Knight. The West Coast emcee explained that he was never signed to Death Row, despite Suge claiming him as an artist, so the label head was none too happy once RBX released his song under Warner. RBX recalled that the song was moving up the charts just about the time that Suge called and allegedly threatened all of higher-ups at the label, which RBX said "put the smash" on the song.
Speaking more about the track, RBX explained dissing Dr. Dre on the track and later becoming friends. He shared a conversation that he had where the famed producer told RBX that he actually thought the song was hard, and RBX said they later came to an understanding.
Hit play to hear more of what RBX had to say about the situation.

Fucking love RBX FILES! Talk bout one of the if not THE most underrated for 90’s West Coast rap. Even the producer Gregski did fucking great on production, yea theirs not really “G-Funk” in it but when it was being recorded in ‘94, a lot of people were doing it so they differentiated themselves from that with more darker tones and beats and really more of a late 90’s kind of sound. They were a good duo, they should do another record together

I like how he straight up said he basically froze "is that how you feel" RBX- "aaaaaaaahhh" and how he also straight up said he had withheld the Suge Diss because he knew the repercussions wouldn't be worth it. Lots of guys be trying to rewrite history he kept it real even when it might make him look weak.

Dre treated Warren G like he was a nobody & I remember in a interview Dre did he said if he had of known that Warren album was going to sale 3 million copies he would've paid more attention to him. If til this day Warren & Dre haven't work together. Sad....

" Warren G, close friend of Snoop’s from Long Beach and brother of Dr. Dre was claiming he was robbed of due credit for his part in establishing Death Row Records in the early stages. He insisted to a Source magazine reporter he had “made” Death Row only to phone in a few days later pleading with them not to print the statements. The quote appeared anyway and a story circulated the Death Row offices that Warren was visited by Suge’s Mob Pirus in the middle of the night and threatened with guns in his mouth warning him to watch what he says in future. What was certain was that Warren G was visibly shaken and begun carrying two 9mm pistols at all times." I think Dre didn't help his young brother to make it on DR because he knew that the negative atmosphere and reputation of the label could undermine his way to success. I took this quote from a complete biography of Suge Knight relating with a lot of details how violence and intimidation were for him ordinary methods to do business.

Is this a serious question? Because Suge is a fckin psychopath. If Suge knows you and still leaves you alone, that's how you want to keep it.

I think the reason why Suge put pressure on Warner Bros to shortstop RBX is that Suge probably saw Warren G's success and figured "Damn! I didn't have anything to do with it, so I have to do something with the artists that I have under contract now. Otherwise, if this happens again and I don't have anything to do with it, even Jimmy Iovine, as hands off as he is, will end up seeing through it".

RBX is funny first he says they forged his signature and he didn't take it forward cos he had family working there no cease or desist letters then he says he was on Warner releasing a Diss track and now he is hard acting tough to Suge Knight. I feel like there is some BS about his toughness. Everyone 20 years after the row with Suge Knight in court and being beaten by Snape or Snoke what ever his name is Sloan. Every guy bullied by Suge Knight are speaking up now. let's be real they ain't no Chi Ali. lol RBX is cool but please give us a real factual story about DRow we all know Suge Knight was the big bully.
