I have a question about razor cutting. I have fine straight hair and I prefer the way a razor cut lays. I went to a new stylist and they told me razors damage the hair shaft and they wouldn’t razor cut my hair type. Is this a thing? All I thought was it wasn’t a tool they were comfortable with using.

HI there, razors have a bad reputation because of inexperienced hairstylists using them incorrectly. If razors are used on wet hair it is completely fine. I mainly use scissors how ever razors are an amazing effective tool for textured haircuts
