    Awesome review man. I’m looking to get this exact laptop when it’s on sale it seems like it’s one of the best values for a razer laptop. I really appreciated how you gave a detailed and personal review. So many reviewers make their video so basic and generalized when I want a personal approach which you more than delivered on. OLED for gaming seems pretty decent from what I’ve heard. The low response time imo is much better than having higher refresh with slow response time like on the newer Razer Stealth models. I remember on Linus’ video comparing refresh rates even then 60 didn’t always lose and with an OLED it will be even better

    Hi Sean, thanks for this review. May I know how's the battery for this laptop (I believe its 65 whr)? Looking into this laptop for photo/video editing and 1 of the concerns I have is potentially on the battery (I found a very good price offered for this laptop, so Im still looking at it as an option). Do you think it can last at least 4-5 hours photo/video editing (fully charged, unplugged)? If yes, its good enough for me. Thanks in advance.

I’ve been a longtime gamer in the past but took many many years off and have no idea what the current performance benefits these new processors are applicable for. Can you give me a quick/brief explanation as to what the gaming pros are over the advance vs the base model? I saw from your previous response to someone’s question saying you don’t think the $500 upgrade is worth it, why is that? Thanks for your time

  • @TechWithSean

    @TechWithSean

    3 жыл бұрын

    Sorry I’m late on this. The OLED looks more saturated color-wise the IPS on the MacBook Pro looks more accurate. This has a much faster response time, for gaming the Mac IPS has ghosting. It’s also a different aspect ratio, the 16:10 screen on the Mac is nice for editing, but doesn’t always play well with game resolutions. Hope that helps, or that you enjoy whichever one you ended up getting ✌️

Moving the Beast (750W) PC into bedroom was making me so HOT that I went out a few times to roll around in the snow. This laptop is quiet and although it registers as running 150F, I don't feel the rooming catching fire like the BEAST. OK I have a tech question and a What If Question if anyone would be willing. Will the HyperX 3200 32x2 work and default at 2933? I know you mentioned it but wanted to ask if others have made the upgrade. What If I were to know someone who knew someone who left the bottom plate off and sat that on a KSI plastic laptop cooler to get lower temps? (Sort of a question but my English sucks lol)

    Hi Sean, Nice review.... If you had to choose between the Advanced version with the RTX 2080 Super and this version. Would you rate the cost/performance upgrade? There is a considerable difference price wise in my country and I’m caught in a conundrum. If my original choice of the higher spec with touchscreen is worth the extra cost. The $3400 and $4900 (now on sale at $4600) so a considerable price hike to your prices. I would appreciate your 2 cents.. Thank you 🙏

    I wouldn't spend the extra money on a 2080 laptop. They only get a few FPS more than a 2070, and the RTX 3000 laptops will be out in a few months and will surpass the 2080. How much does the 1080p 144hz differ from this one in terms of screen quality?

  • @TechWithSean

    @TechWithSean

    3 жыл бұрын

    It will be fundamentally different because it's an IPS screen. It wont have the deep contrast and insane richness of an OLED, but will still be nice for a laptop screen. I don't think RAZR has really bad screens on any of their modern stuff, but just like TVs, OLED picture quality is on another level.

    Definitely doable. Even though it is only 60hz, the OLEDs have really fast response times, so it will feel a little snappier than a 60hz LCD screen which is what 99% of monitors out there are 👍

    @@Jesse-lr8tr I did get one! I love it. The 4K screen is remarkable. I had to see it to believe it, and it’s just eye candy. The outer build quality is great also so far in the brief time I’ve had it. It feels very premium. The only problem I’ve had so far is that one of the fans seems to be on its last legs and is making quite the noise. The gaming performance is exceptional for such a thin device. I can play cyberpunk with RTX on with some settings tweaked.

    Apparently Samsung says on these laptop OLED panels they make, they use something called “pixel shift” so it won’t get burn in. That being said, never say never, I’m sure in a worst case scenario it’s still possible.
