Great job on the vid!!! loved the intro especially the wallpaper and led color matching scene. I'll mostly get the laptop and can't wait for your accessories video. I was subbed to Dave2D before he hit 1000 and I'm sure you'll grow just like he did. One thing, try to look at the camera while you're talking or if you're looking away look at the object you're talking about. It seems like you're reading a script but I don't think that's the reason because of your natural tone. I mean you can do it, just not so often, but that's just my opinion. Love your cars too :)

@@AngryPaisan Of course! For my Blade 14, initially, it did run very hot and the fans were pretty loud. The palm rests felt pretty toasty as well and I did reach temperatures around the high 90’s to 101 C max which had me worried. However, I did watch videos on how to make laptops run cooler. I did stuff such as buying a cooling pad for better airflow, setting my maximum processor state to 99%, and (if running a heavy application) cranking the fans in Razer Synapse to max rpm. Also, if you search up “how to disable AMD turbo boost,” you can reduce your temperatures even more to 70-80 C max on heavy applications. The palm rests did feel less warm, but still were toasty. As for the performance aspect, I didn’t notice much of a performance dip. But I’d rather take longevity with less power over more power with a shorter lifespan. If you also need info on idle temperatures and fan speed, it’s okay with temperatures ranging 45-53 C. The fans were virtually silent, but if running a light program like KZread, Spotify, or Discord, it runs, but you’ll barely notice it on. As the palm rest, it’s reasonably cool 👍🏽

I'll have to try disabling turbo, the ryzen 9 actually doesnt consume much wattage boosting up, so I haven't tried no turbo yet. Great review. Would love to see a gameplay video of maybe warzone and battlefield 5 multiplayer with the cpu,gpu temps and clockspeeds overlay on if its not too much hassle! Bf5 mp is notorious for bringing laptop cpus to its knees.

I started trying to film a performance segment of the video, and it stressed me out haha. I'm terrible at it, so I'll have to stay focused on build quality and festures for best result :)

Hey man great review!! Do you think 16 gb of ram is enough for gaming? Like for now yeah its fine but after like 3 to 4 years?

  • @BioGear

Personally I think so. I've never played a game that actually needed 32gb, and just guessing, I doubt we will actually need it within 3 years for just gaming and moderate use.

is there please any way to game or edit video while powered by 65w usb c bank ? I know it can't fully supplement it, I'm just curious if it can slow battery draining so you can game or edit video for like 3 or 4 hours , while battery would only last 2 hours. My experience when editing videos on the go is empty battery in 2 hours even with 80wh notebook haha, while macbook m1 draws only 12w full load

If you make a non upgradable ram in a laptop in 2021 it needs to be 32GB in such a powerful device. For me personally to be the ultimate portable machine I would prefer Intel for TB4 (I need for audio production), smaller battery charger and better battery port/cable and of course a 1080p webcam

What about the thermals? Other reviews mentioned the CPU gets alarmingly hot. Does it throttle? Are you concerned about battery bloat issues? Planning to buy this but I'm concerned about longevity. By the way, I just subscribed! 😀😀

Thanks for the sub!! The CPU does get hot in demanding games. Seems like the thermal system is good at keeping clock speeds up, despite getting well into the 90s. I'm not very concerned because the limit on this chip is 105c, but I MUCH prefer 80s so I adjust settings to keep it there. Battery bloat I've never experienced in any of my past blades. I use an external fan to keep chassis Temps down, and I don't deplete my batteries, which stresses them. I do buy extended warranties just in case too. Hope that helps!

Hi do you think in the long run the battery of the razer blade 14 will bloat? I've been reading reviews that alot of razer laptop users have encountered this issue after around 7 months to a year of use.

This is my 5th blade, none of them had battery bloat. I've had each for 1-2 years, used daily for at least 4 hours. Never had a problem from personal experience, unsure how other people have gotten theirs bloated... Maybe hard charge cycles or leaving their blade in hot places.

Hey, had a doubt since you mentioned you've used XPS. How is an XPS for casual gaming like AAA titles at 60+fps? Oh and I'm talking about your opinion ilon this year's XPS model

Def not a gaming laptop, I use my xps for youtube, movies, etc. It games in a pinch, but the experience is considerably less 'fun'. The new XPS have better specs, and may pair well with a 144hz external monitor. Remember, ONLY 100w total means you cant really crank performance.
