Both are nice looking headsets 🎧 🥰👍. Great review, full of analogies 🥰🥳 and the usual Techne love and energy. Personally I would go w/ the “Kaira X” 🥰. The frequency ranges are basically marketing. A friend of my gf works in the hearing industry and vast majority of people’s hearing max out around 18000 and small number of individuals can hear 18000-20000 range. Some individuals, predominantly females, can hear up to 22000-23000 range. So headphones / headsets stating up to 28000-40000 is nothing to utilise or take advantage of.

@@michaelthompson9798 It's just the drivers being able to make some noises that others can't. But since games and content aren't really made in frequencies that humans can't hear (obviously) the expanded frequency is in theory, useless.

Quality review as always:) I think the sound from the Kaira X mic sounded better had a more natural sound to it while your voice got a little "thin" with the black shark. Thanks for always making great content man. I`m looking for a new headset these days so this helped out a lot

Yep, the BlackShark sounded strongly like talking through your nose compared to the Kaira, and I noticed the exact same thing on other review samples too. If all you care about whether others can hear you clearly, whatever I suppose; but if you care about what you actually sound like, the BlackShark looks like an abject failure.

@@AttilaAsztalos I actually ended up with the blackshark. I use a Blue yeti on an arm anyways. I really like them. they are very comfy, but I think the sound in my old hyperx cloud alpha was a pinch better. I used equalizer for those to get more bass and that made them really good.

Just found this channel today, really like the reviews. One of my new favorite tech channels to watch.

Hi man you have super cool reviews thank you, greetings from Germany! I found this video while looking for a headset in this budget for my Xbox. I am not a competitive gamer, I play story games and maybe listen to music while playing games like FIFA, 2K. Comfort is the most important to me. So first I looked at the Logitech G333 earbuds but I read that there are some problems when using it with the Xbox controller, when the controller vibrates, I guess the earbuds also vibrate a lot. So Blackshark V2 X, Arctis 1, HyperX Stinger (maybe CloudX but I wasn't very comfortable wearing it) are my alternatives as on-ear headphones. You have tested them all, which one can you recommend me? Thank you

Actually just bought the Kaira Pro in white because they have no razer green on them and MAN they look gorgeous!

What noise cancellation/closed back with a decent/good microphone headset would you recommend for under $50 budget?

I have the Blackshark V2 Xs and they're better than I thought they would be. My one complaint is that damn cord, it's a rubber coated cord that holds shape too well. It's still in a zigzag pattern from when I opened it months ago and can sometimes get under your fingers on the controller which gets annoying.

You should try the Eksa E900 Pro! It's a budget pair of headphones and WOW are they comfortable! Comparable to the top end competitors in terms of comfort! Give them a shot.

Whenever i see Blackshark v2 it reminds me ear protectors Peltor Optime II i used in work :)

You should definitely consider reviewing the Rig 700 pro hx. This headset gets absolutely NO love anywhere on the internet and after trying basically every major company’s offering’s, this affordable headset remains my favorite. Easily the most cozy headset and it’s not even close.

I have the blackshark v2x and what I can say so far of having it is that it is really nice, no problem with sounds or anything at all, the only gripe I have with it is the cord, it is a bright neon green, not really my style, but other than that great value, I actually got it on sale for $43 dollars.

I know this is classed as old ish now, but are the ear pads interchangeable between these 2 sets, so if I bought the Kaira could I put the blackshark pads on the ear cups?..

Awesome comparison, Now you need to do a battery mod for the corsair hs80, they don't last more then 5 hours for me.(with rgb off) I think with the mod they would win against headsets of the same price category. Of course with prob around 14bucks or less for the aftermarket battery.

Compare these to mh752 please. Everyone said mh752 is crazy good, but how good is it compared to the competition

So what i got from this video is (correct me if I'm wrong) if I want to play FPS and other competitive games I should go with Kaira X and if I want to play games that focuses more on the environmental aspects of the sound I should go for Blackshark V2 X? Anyway great video as always

Hey techne. First of all great review as always! I'd love to have your opinion between the Blackshark V2 and the Arctis 5 as I'm torn between them. I usually play non-competitive games and listen to a lot of music and people have been saying the Arctis bass is too weak as it's fit for shooters only. RGBs and mic aren't a priority for me at all. Thanks for the help in advance!

Only gripe I have with the black sharks when I had them was the microphone I thought it sounded fine but all my friends said I sounded like I was talking through a trash can 🙃

I’ve tried both, and for me, it’s no competition. The BlackShark wins hands down. They’re way more comfortable and sound much better. The Kaira gave me a headache almost instantly. The mic may be worse, but it wins in every other way.
