I just received a brand new Razor Blackshark V2, and the volume on the PS4 is pathetically low! I have tried it with both the 3.5mm and the USB inputs. The headphone volume on the PS4 is at max volume and the volume knob on the ear is turned all the way up. Even with everything at max level, it's still not high enough. I'm not hard of hearing, and I don't listen to everything at super high levels. Hell, even my five year old no-name stereo headphones sound louder than these do on my PS4. Is this a bad set of headphones? Is this a bug? Is this the PS4 problem with low volume on some headphones. Did you have this problem?

Wow that sounds like something is wrong with the ones you got. You may want to try to get a replacement to see if they do the same thing.

I'm currently using the Blackshark V2s, and I just have to say that the mic quality REALLY drops when it's plugged into the soundcard. For general use, I use the soundcard without the mic, and use the audio changers for better sound quality. If I'm using the mic, however, I have to plug it into the headphone jack. A little disappointing, but I have an external mic so I don't use the headset mic very much. The headset is very comfortable , but does get a little warm, as mentioned in the video. Though I can see why people would be iffy about the sliders, they are actually quite sturdy, and definitely hold strong in their position until you decide to move them. Keeping the earcups level is a bit of a hassle, but it's not too bad. The volume knob is very handy, but I'm a big fan of tactile buttons and switches, so this might be a personal preference. Overall, I'd give this headset an 8.5/10, as it's very comfy, durable, and the sound quality is great. While the soundcard somehow makes the mic sound worse, you can always play without the soundcard when mic chat is absolutely necessary. Definitely an amazing and decently well rounded headset for 100$.

The thing that makes the Blackshark v2 worth over the hyperx cloud alpha s is the eq settings in razer synapse. You can make the mic sound a lot better when you use the conference setting for the microphone. Also, there is a n option for bass boost and I really feel like it make a lot of difference, especially if you are listening to sound. Also the modes are amazing, if you want an overall balanced sound, go for the hyperX cloud alpha S. If you want to fine tune your headset differently according to different use cases, go with the Blackshark v2, and believe me, you won't regret buying the Blackshark v2 over the Aplha S

@@KC-ux2nv i have the clouds 2 Pros: Comfy af Good build quality Good sound weak bass but you can enchance it with an eq if you want (they did weak bass for competitive fps) Clear sounding mic Cons: Mic is quiet so you will need to play around with third party apps Close back, some don't like it In line controller, in just not used to it

been two years since I last watched this video, I went with the Hyper X Cloud Alpha (not the s) still going strong for 2.5 years, my last razer lasted 3 months and didn’t produce audio anymore😂

I find BlackShark far more comfortable than my HyperX was.

the mic on the v2 is much more superior when you turn to broadcast mode with the sound card in razer synapse. in the video only shows the default sound without razer synapse settings

@Emmy well, the included soundcard is worth it i would say, you can plug in any headset with a 3.5mm jack into the soundcard and have louder volume when you use it on pc. It is lighter than the hyper x and the earcups are fabric material so less build up heat compare to the leather hyper x.

The mic is detachable could I attach a deffernt mic that sounds better ?

@@k12rising nope the mic quality heavily depends on your motherboard, if its trashy use the external sound card with the broadcast setting and it should sound like what hardware canucks put up in his video about the blackshark v2.

i had cloud alpha... just bought V2 (not X) and the confort is pretty much the same ...litle bit better on v2 ... i just dont know if i like the sound. playing PUBG with the Alpha was amazing...all sound was perfect and on this one (V2) my ear almost bleed everytime i shoot gun . i try EQ and stuff but still... i think the alpha is better

7.1 is only for PC

Mic on the Razer sounds tinny, metalic and overcompressed and the fact that I would have to use synapse, I would not buy a Razer product.

I have de cloud 2 and i really like them, but im actually going for some upgrade so I would recommend de Blackshark even thogugh i havent tested them. The Blackshark are compared to the alpha S and the Logithec Pro X Gaming and they all are supposed to sound better. To summ up I´ll go for the blackshark (even the Blacksharks X) before buying the cloud 2. Im selling my Cloud 2 to upgrade to the Alpha S.

I personally really enjoy the V2s, but honestly you really can't go wrong with either. Unfortunately I'd have to say go with the hyperX if you were looking forward to the soundcard enhancement with the mic on the V2, because the soundcard makes the mic sound worse, so you have to play without the soundcard to get good mic quality. I don't use the mic very often, as I have an external mic, but if that was a major selling point for you, sorry to disappoint.
