I really like how you set the record straight on expensive mouses right at the beginning of the video. Earned a sub by keeping it real. Great review overall by the way. I was all set to pull the trigger but those two flaws about the side of the mouse is definitely a deal breaker for most fps gamers. Good looking man.

Personally, I like to have a claw grip and my thumb also stays in the claw position (i.e. I only touch the mouse with the tip of my thumb and the rest of it never touches the mousepad) and that helps me move the mouse quickly (or perform flick shots). That thumb groove almost always forces me to palm grip the mouse, with the thumb fitting right into the groove like you did and that reduced my ability to move it sideways.

2:57 honestly.. that was a real nice way of saying to give it a thumbs up!

I actually like the mouse thumb rest. I think I may add this to a list of musts for any new mouse. The mouse is sized and my hand does not feel over sized. I don't see the need for lights so I think this is also a plus as you don't pay for that. Great mouse.

The reason they advertised weight without the battery is because various AA or AAA batteries have different weight. Also I believe the reasons why there is a pad missing on one side is to cut some weight out as you'd normally be applying more pressure to the side of mice that has a pad.

(late to the party) I just got this mouse, my small finger has plenty of space to not touch the buttons randomly aaand it seems like the feet missing on the right side doesn't seem to pose any real problem on a hard surface mousepad! Anyway, another great review :D

I just recently got the Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed and it feels great. In games like Valorant it seems to do pretty well in and I don't really see any major issues. The only minor thing that I slightly don't like about it is the absence of a pinky and ring finger rest. Most people don't really care about that but if you do, here is your little warning.

I love this mouse! I have small hands and it fits perfect 👍 I only play rogue company and it’s a very fast paced game. The mouse keeps up 100% definitely recommend 🍻

Pretty decent mouse for me so far, always loved my G502 but after at least 6-7 years I really just wanted something new. Virtually an identical copy, minus several extra macro keys which I do personally miss. It's close enough in the hand that I still reach for my old macro keys which are not there after 3 weeks. I thought about wireless for awhile, but I couldn't justify the near $200 for the G502 wireless + charger. Never noticed the lack of a glide pad on the right side until you mentioned it, as for the thumb buttons it doesn't effect me as I use a finger tip grip.

I bought ARKTISX headphones and I am SUREYL going to buy this BASILICS AKS mouse bro :D

I do agree with you on 80 to 90 gram mice. I went to ignite gaming lounge this weekend. I play with an 8 dolled 120 gram mouse. It felt so good to play on 100 gram razed lancehead

I think the empty weight being written is a good thing. For Energiser these are their battery weights. AA Lithium- 14.1 grams grams AAA Lithium- 8.5 grams AA Max- 22.6 grams AAA max- 11.3 grams For me I like to use AAA lithiums with an adapter or use ally foil to bridge the gap. A 14 gram reduction in weight compared to using a AA Max battery is huge.

I bought this mouse and the Razer Cynosa Chroma keyboard and they work well together. I have no complaints against any of them, they are very good products. Especially the mouse. If you end up buying the mouse I would highly recommend you buy the Razer Cynosa Chroma keyboard to go with it.

the reason why they probably didn't include the weight with the battery is because the weight of batteries varies between companies. And the weight of the battery will change overtime as you keep using it.

Do you think I should spend about 18 dollars more on the mamba wireless, or should I get this? (In my country and everything the mamba is about 18 bucks more expensive)

Which would you say is more comfortable, this hyper speed x or the logitech g502 SE ? I’m looking for a second mouse where I can just relax while using it casually or for everyday tasks since my other mouse is for when I’m playing seriously and can’t really keep up gripping it for extended periods.

First time I disagree with your review. I have the original basilisk and I have this one. I also have the Ultimate Basilisk (for work). I have probably 50 plus mice. I have average hands but large fingers. My fingers touch the buttons which I like in FPS, I don't have to move my finger to find them, I have never "accidentally" hit the buttons. The pads are perfectly fine, who moves their mouse like that? Slow and leaning and listening? Weird. Mine glides perfectly fine. I change mice constantly and keep going back to this one. Price is right and feel is excellent. Mad about not including the weight with a battery? You can easily look up the weight of a batter you want to use. I use AAA lithium with an adapter. Weight is great and battery lasts "forever"... ....love your videos!

agree a great mouse for the price. as stated in video finger issue was prob personal pref, I play a lot of fast paced COD and constantly hit them, and constantly dragged on side with not skate. as for the weight, a customer should not have to look up a basic spec, they include a AA batt, so they intend customers to use it that was, why didn't they mention that weight, complete marketing. btw thank you for the support!

I have this mouse and I love it for what it is. It is light ENOUGH to keep up in fps and other shooter games and that's pretty much all I play minus rocket league. I honestly don't mind swapping that battery once a month (depending on how much I use it) so that's not a problem for me but IK a lot of people don't like swapping batteries. And with the glides on the bottom, you talked about I use a pretty light hold so that's not a problem for me. So for 60$, I have to agree it's a STEAL.

For me the basalisk x hyperspeed is sold for 70€ everywhere i feel like im in canada

I got Basilisk X came in yesterday and I am returning it, it looks nice in picture than the actual item, left primary button quite loose I mean the whole left click panel, it's functioning but it's unacceptable for a gaming mouse, and the mouse feels hollow. Logitech G305 will come in tomorrow see how is it go.

the mamba is great

this is my favorite mouse ive ever had. the dongle prefers usb 2 not 3. the polling rate is the smoothest ive ever seen. comfortable and easy to aim. basilisk v1 not as smooth not comfortable impossible to aim.

for which operating system is compatible, which windows??

I'd stay away from the G603, that thing is VERY slippery fue to its smooth plastic materials.
