Best Budget Wireless Gaming Mouse? Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed in 2022
Ойындар
I had been using the same old wired mouse for the last 22 years, so it was time for an upgrade, and I may have found the best budget wireless gaming mouse in 2022 with a recent price drop for the Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed. Bluetooth and 2.4GHz RF connections were what attracted me to the mouse, but its performance and styling took the front seat in this review.

Don’t mind all the RGB from the guy that says he’s not into RGB. What mouse are you using?! Come join our amazing Discord community! discord.gg/mZAeGwr

I dont mind RGB but man this CRT TV hiss is unbearable when listening to your video 😕
This is a super good review! Been wanting to pick up the same mouse for a while now
I got this mouse yesterday from watching this. I can agree it is really an amazing mouse and it just fits perfectly in my hand

Great to hear! Thanks for watching! It's still going strong for me!
I still really love your intros to your videos! I wanted to get a wireless mouse when I just recently replaced mine. I was worried about the input lag from them though. That's good to hear there really wasn't much lag here.

My intros almost always are just whatever happens right after I turn on my camera 😂 But yeah the lag is really a non-issue here so far!
Picked this mouse up for $11 clearance at my work today, definitely thought that was a steal for a wireless mouse. I have been using wired for a while and it’s nice to be wire free lol.
Fantastic and entertaining review! Thanks!
Great review love the positiveness of the mouse. I bought it myself and I absolutely enjoy it. It’s my second mouse and I use it for FPS while I have an RPG mouse as well. I absolutely love this mouse. And the price was great.
Great video! I'm cool with minimal RGB lights on my devices as well. I usually turn them off on my keyboards anyway. This mouse looks really interesting. I'm a weirdo that likes to use a thumb trackball on my mouse.

What’s funny is I always leave them white, but switched to rgb for these shots, not thinking that I had just said I’m not a huge fan. I used to use one of those trackball mice! What a throwback ha

@@TynologyGaming I love them! Logitech still makes one and I can't get enough. I tried going back to a tradition mouse and it was rough!
This actually looks like a really good mouse. I hate my current mouse i chose a wired razor one so that I could have the cool LED lights and I think I regret it. Awesome video Ty!

I received a Steelseries Rival 3 Wireless mouse for Christmas that I've been enjoying. It also has dual mode RF and Bluetooth and it's nice to be able to switch between them if one has interference. The battery seems to last longer on RF for what it's worth. This mouse has RGB but I accidentally turned a sound-sensitive version of it on and the battery lasted about 2 days lol. Also, if my math is correct, you spent less than $2 a year to use that Logitech mouse! :D

Oh it looks like that's very similar to this one. I like Steelseries products as well, I may have to try a mouse. I don't know how that Logitech mouse made it as long as it did, and I'm pretty sure your math is correct, what a deal! haha
They're usually on sale for $35-$40 and TBQH you're not gonna get a better mouse for the price. The Viper Ultimate is also on sale for $60-$70, if you don't want to keep paying for batteries.
Man, I love your intros.

My laptop mouse broke. I'm someone who was a pc gamer as a child but became a console gamer (everyone I knew gamed on console). Never had a "gamer mouse". This mouse was on sale for black friday and bro lol.. it's the most responsive mouse I've ever used. Moreover it's extremely comfortable. The clicks are insanely satisfying with zero travel and a very nice tactics click. The big scroll wheel with very very clear and precise clicks is incredible too. Every previous mouse I've had the scroll wheel would be inconsistent. Ps i low key regret not getting 2 more for a backup. They use replaceable double a batteries so can be stored for ever. And I'm considering trying to use my new mouse on my PS5 with COD for a change lol. I already have a bunch of very good mechanical keyboards. Ps. Also love the software and the customizability. I don't need the led lights on my mouse. I don't even ever use them on my keyboards. The mouse looks very nice. Would look and work great as a work mouse. But it would look cool in any gaming setup too.
Hey i just have a little confusion bw razer basilisk x hyperspeed and razer orochi v2? Which one should i buy as a gamer??
At launch it has disconnection issues. Which are mostly fixed now.
Good Stuff. I agree with literally everything. Im not a big fancy setup guy, the mouse great and does what i need it to with no problem

Yeah it’s been a workhorse for me. I love being able to grab it for other computers via Bluetooth on the fly while leaving the 2.4 always on my PC
I have the same mouse as you and I got mine at GameStop
Interesting, I've never used a wireless mouse for gaming but if I get one this will now be top of my list. I paid 10$ for one Razer deathadder and liked it so much I bought a brand new one for 20$ as a backup. Great video Ty, glad to see ya git gud at Halo

Can't beat reliable cheap mice that's for sure, and the wireless adds another potential point of failure, but I figured 22 years was long enough haha
@Skrillerwolf

@@TynologyGaming yeah for sure, I think even wireless it'll hopefully last. Razer makes some pretty great products as far as mouse and keyboard go. Hopefully this new one also lasts 20 years!
Hell yeah.
Are you still using it? Thinking of buying it, it's on sale for $30 at a store near me but I can't decide

Yep! Still using and still loving it
of course it is really good mouse, latency is not noticeable polling rate *thing* cursor movement latency is not really noticeable if you use backpanel i/o port, front i/o port might have some latency like playing on 125hz polling rate clicks are really good, solid and glide is not the best but if you use HARD PAD or 100% PTFE skates and decent mpad you'll be good to go its not actually entry level mouse, its high-end mouse but just cut down features, so the price is down as well thanks for reading my comment
meh...i regret getting this thing tho...that stupid intermediate disconnects is annoying AF

My suggestion is to uninstall synapse, turn off wi-fi and bluetooth on your pc-notebook and disconnect every other wi fi device. Connect the mouse with the usb dongle as near to the mouse as possible with no obstacles (NOT NEAR OTHER WI-FI USB RECEIVERS). This fixed a little for me (I had disconnections issue due to my logitech wireless headset). Now I just played 1 hour without a single disconnection.
What latency does it come with?
@TynologyGaming
10 ай бұрын
If you’re using the 2.4Ghz with dongle (which is what is recommended over Bluetooth), it looks to be about 3-5ms with a 3.6ms average. I didn’t do my own latency test, it felt instantaneous for me. Source: www.rtings.com/mouse/1-4/graph#1697/17134
Bro can I switch between mac and my pc with it? Thank you
@TynologyGaming

Yep, use the 2.4 GHz dongle on PC and Bluetooth on Mac, the switch on the bottom instantly switches between the two (or opposite if your PC has Bluetooth). The 2.4 has less input delay though.

Had it only for a short time. The sharp edge on the left mouse button was annoying. Its not too hard to weld the mould and change the part. Just pure laziness.

Very nice review. Very nice upgrade! Recently me and my friend changed our internet to Xfinity, we did the up to 1200Mbps plan, as I'm the IT guy between me and him, so I bought a Cable modem, and he already had a AC wifi router, so I got us setup quickly! Happy gaming! 😊🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🖖🎮Marcus

@@TynologyGaming Also, how is your upload speed? Mine is good enough to do 4K livestreaming on YT.(Note: I have a 4K60S+ to accomplish said stream resolutions. Figuring out how to do 4K HDR livestreaming in future. I purchased Mirillis Action for those purposes) I also (just in case)use a channel bonding software called Speedify, as I have multiple connections I can use to save against stutters and other network issues!
