Looking forward to Horizon. I liked Open range a lot, is kinda like reverse Shane. Last few recent Westerns I saw were Hostiles, Corsicana and Old Henry. First one has some good stuff, second was a big disappointment, and third one was pretty enjoyable.

I remember DarkWatch on the og Xbox being a fun horror western.

It's fairly gruesome, but torture porn? No.. The natives aren't victims, it's probably fairly real to life; we murdered them, they murdered us, though they are clearly skewed towards being more "savage". The main character is basically being manipulated by evil. There's probably a synopsis on it online somewhere, haven't read it in 20 years.

Queen Mab, The Cantos, Don Quixote are all politically odious in varying fashion, but are all worth reading for their other qualities; furthermore, a person of good taste can enjoy an objectively bad work. Everyone has a soft spot which will undermine an otherwise sound mind. I have no familiarity with Wendigoon politically or otherwise, but Blood Meridian is poorly written propaganda.

Where's the mafia gta? Oh, they made a separate series for that. Wind the clock back even further and suddenly the dark side of the american dream becomes red dead's resistance to the increasing power of the federal government. Again, separate series. Gta is the exact same thing, in the modern era, with all the EXACT same story beats as a result of our lovely modernized world. Vice city and san andreas are fan favorites for having a different setting. All razor and sane people are advocating for is something like a corrupt cop character instead of "financially destitute (optionally immigrant) man, in need of immediate cash and thus turns to crime". Or maybe a security guard to an existing criminal enterprise, enforcing yet another deal which goes wrong and then a changing story takes off from there (like vice city AND san Andreas, coincidentally)? ANYTHING except the identical aforementioned formula? Gta 5 took it one step further by making you a literal army of maybe a dozen people but still pretending to be realistic. You open with 2 of your 3 superstars and will mow through tens of thousands of bodies with those same characters, but now there's stock markets and triathlons to engage with because the world is so alive. Pick a lane and stop flying between themes, it's all boiling into the same generic free-roam shooter because of it.

Why would you take an animal pelt to a butcher!? Wouldn't it be more beneficial to take it to a tailor or something like that!? Make a coat or something!? Just like the alligator earlier!? Make some true alligator leather boots!? Makes WAY more sense to me anyways!? Also I Do NOT enjoy the skinning of animals! Reminds me of when my grandfather took me hunting when I was Young! He killed a nice female ate on it for a week but he made me skin and take out all the organs! I was I think 7 or 8 scarred me for life!? Haha. Damn good eating! He used to make deer jerky too! Thanks for the memory fuel I miss my grandfather a lot. My grandmother was a C U Next Tuesday so my mom and us didn't even find out about his death til weeks later and from facebook for F**ks sake

Horizon was great for you? WHAT? In what world this movie is good? It was too long, boring, slow, DISJOINTED, filled to the brim with shallow characters with no satisfying backstory or plot. Kostner was underutilized in a plot that does not makes sense. You have no sense of passage of time, for instance how much time has pass from the Horizon massacre to the end of movie? Siena Miller lost her husband and son yet by the end she is in love with Army officer Worthington ... Indian possie is still on the hunt for the indians.. That wagon train is heading from ? to where, whay? Why do we need those wagon trail wonabee rapists storyline and for what? I could poke holes in this hot garbage of a mess more then the length of the movie but this crap does not deserve so much attention. After leaving the theatre i felt like i was a victim of a highway robbery.

Horizon ended my 10 year hiatus from cinemas, that's how excited i was to see it. It ain't my bad the movie is crap, and i for one am bitterly sorry about it. I wanted to watch and epic western movie at least on par with Yellowstone, what i got was a random line of crap held together by a thin thread and some greater promise in the sequel.
