This is a lot better than My Way. Sinatra has so many better songs, and it’s not like he wrote the thing to begin with. Although I appreciate the sentiment, it is very sentimental and drags on and on. I think Sid Vicious did the song more justice. Probably the only thing he did worth listening to, and it’s actually pretty great.

Two of the best "B" sides ever recorded. I always thought they could both have been "A" sides. Good to see Ray finally getting some recognition (Knighthood) and a constant interest in his work, which proves its continuing relevance. The subject matter of his lyrics could often apply to any of us, so they are easy to identify with, and this will continue their relevance long after passing trends like psychedelia have been forgotten.

If I didn't have a job, I wouldn't have been able to go see him in concert. No need for YOU to slap him. I will do this next time I see him in Chicago. He can be a snob !

Always thought of this great Kinks tune as one of the first true great, angry 'punk' songs of its time. Somewhat ironic to hear it being sung by the now multi millionaire Ray playing to what looks like an affluent, predominantly white, middle class American audience and all done with a slightly smug nod and a wink. Almost as depressing as watching the remains of The Who murdering 'My Generation' decades after it lost relevance.
