    dawox23 Ray Allen and Allen Iverson were the only 2 that were inducted into the HOF that mentioned Jordan as their biggest influence on their careers. No doubt MJ has influenced many other future hall of famers immensely (i.e. Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, etc).

    mikeandmars2345 That was a great shot if you are looking at what Jordan accomplished before; but if you compare it, Paxson, Kerr made basically the same shot to clinch the championship. Nobody has done what Allen did. Ray Allen shot was more important if you look at the overall picture instead of focusing on one player.

    Well yeah naw totally different. When Ray joined he had Lebron, Bosh and Wade. When Rondo joined the Lakers all they have is Lebron. Completely different skill levels. I still think that Rondo, Garnett and Pierce need to quit acting like some hoe ass niggas and get over Ray leaving.     tough to say, very subjective. But I think there's something less "difficult" or clutch when you're in that situation and you have no other choice than to shoot. You don't have time to think or for pressure to build, you only have one option and it's to shoot. I think Lebron 3 right before could arguably be more clutch, and Jordan's in '98 because of the buildup and the time for defense to set, pressure to build, etc.

    Wow! Time does fly! I remember when Ray was just a kid, living on Edwards Air Force Base, cutting grass during the summer months back in the mid 80s. Way to go, young man! I’m so darn proud of you! And congratulations, Coach Phil! You positively touched many lives, including my oldest son.

    I’ll never forget being at work at Rocky Rococo in the summer of 2000 in Wauwatosa WI (suburb of Milwaukee WI) and seeing Ray Allen (favorite player at the time) walk past and I went to talk to him. He was the nicest person ever and actually bought me some Chinese food and sat and talked to me as we both met; it was weird , it was almost like we were friends for years and I was just a fan. That was a moment of my life as a 17 year old that I’ll never forget, great player and a good person. Congrats to him for making the hall

    what a great speech, I've seen a lot of speeches and a lot of players speak English as if it's their 2nd language literally struggling to find words and I understand the pressure of the moment but god Ray speaks his mind out without stopping once.     What a speach! What really touched me was the way he talked about his family, his kids, and asking us to be examples for our children, the way he honored the people in the military and the people from the towns where he lived in. Inspiring!

    He was there 6 1/2 years. He didn't mention it cause Karl traded him, a few other players and a 1st round pick for a washed up Gary Payton and Desmond Mason. They pretty much couldn't stand each other. He didn't mention Doc Rivers either lol. Rivers cut his minutes and wanted to trade him in Boston.

    Damn I feel old....but I feel great knowing that I got to watch great players come into the league and then exit the league as winners regardless of titles won.
