Ray Allen & Glenn Robinson Combine for 57 Points in Game 7 Triumph

Спорт

May 20, 2001 - All-Stars Ray Allen and Glenn Robinson combined to score 57 points on 20-35 shooting in leading the Milwaukee Bucks to a 104-95 victory over the Charlotte Hornets in Game 7 of the 2001 Eastern Conference semi-finals. The Bucks used a 22-6 third quarter rally to push ahead of Charlotte for good, capped off by a dramatic running 3-point buzzer beater by Robinson. Milwaukee fell one game short of making an NBA Finals appearance in 2001, pushing Allen Iverson and the Philadelphia 76ers to seven games in the Eastern Conference Finals before falling short.

I know people my age will never forget this team, but at least, 20 years later, the Bucks finally got a bit of redemption and have another championship. No longer is there the presence of a dark cloud over the Bucks, that it's Milwaukee against the big-market-favoring NBA.

Alien Sam I Am brought out the best in Big Dog & Ray by feeding em the ball in good scoring positions-Sam’s best overall play for Bucks as PG/leader-TT, Caffey, EJ, SWilliams & even Ham were great role players-NBA rigged the Eastern Conference Finals in favor of Philly-the refs were outright atrocious in game 7- and the Bucks still almost won. And they didn’t have to defend-they’d outscore any team any day-most fun team to watch that season.

BrownBrother27 wtf? Mason had very very little to do with anything. there were clashes between Ray and Glenn, injuries, Ray Allen wanted to be traded, Sam Cassell was inconsistent, Glenn was a little slow on defense, Michael Redd was emerging as a star... the whole thing just fell apart. This team had potential to be a great team but unfortunately injuries and other circumstances didn't help.
