how did you remove the pushrod? I see there is a spacer that the mounting bolt slides through, im assuming that needs to come out but mine is in way too tight to remove. How did you get yours out mate? or possibly different between superduke r and gt?
@thelikeablerider8800

Only the spacer on one of the levers needs to come out, thankfully the easy one lol. The other will come out, I used the spacer from the new levers to tap it through, but one of the new levers doesn't require one, can't remember which one. The R and GT have the same levers👍
At it's closest adjustment do you think the reach is closer than stock levers? I have short fingers and considering these. Thanks.

Yes most definitely! 👍😜
Did you have any issues after installing the Raximo clutch lever with neutral becoming rather difficult to find when either coming up from 1st or down from 2nd? I"m having that problem, but am not sure it's due to the new lever. The local KTM dealer agrees that neutral is a real pain to find now, but suggested I revert to the stock lever to see if that solves the problem before having them tear down the clutch assembly. Any thoughts on this?

Yes I did but had nothing to do with the lever! The master cylinder failed and had it replaced under warranty. All is fine now

Oh wow, I just wrote a post. I am having the same issues. My Dealer pulled another stock lever from another bike and they said solved the neutral becoming difficult issue.
Great Video. But I can't get the small pin out of the old brake lever, unfortunately, you didn't show how to get it out. Could you please describe how you did this?

Same problem here. Bloody shit from China didn’t include a new pin and there’s a spring preventing the thing from moving out completely.

I had to bust my old brake into pieces
Really bummed out that you skipped over 6:30. The little rubber switch simply REFUSES to come out of my superduke brake lever. I simply don't understand how to get it out, the mechanism doesn't allow me to open up the lever far enough for the switch to come out..
How did you remove the OEM push rod? That would probably be useful info
@lukaszg74

You need to take old lever apart
Had pazzo shorty levers on my R1 £200 at the time. Got them in USA for 200 dollars. Bargain at the time. 113€ not bad at all with the adjustability and flip up. Like the flat cap, wana buy a whippet!?😁

Great Vid. Keep Em coming. Did you have to damage the old brake lever to remove the push rod needed for the brake lever? Struggling with mine. Might get the Dremmel on it.

Had a really different issue with these levers. I got the clutch fitted easy, but the brake side wouldnt let me pull out the plunger without unscrewing it from the lever. I then had an issue that I couldnt get the barrel out of the lever to fit in the REXIMO lever? any clues
@thelikeablerider8800

TheLikeableRider so I’m really in same position . Your video doesn’t show how you get the barrel out on the brake side as you mentioned the instructions are non existent. I ended up unscrewing the plunger from the lever, but could not get the other parts to dismantle from the lever to reposition on the new lever ? Assume you don’t have an answer to that one ?
@thelikeablerider8800

Strange one that! I didn't show it because it just fell out of the housing
Thanks for the video. I have the same bike and Raximo levers, after 1 year of using, I am having clutch issues, when i took it to the KTM dealer, they said i need to install my stock levers back, because these lever apparently don't give the hydraulics enough play to engage properly. Have you any idea what they would mean by that?
@thelikeablerider8800
Жыл бұрын
It won't be the levers! You should have your master or slave cylinder checked, it's a known problem with KTM. My master cylinder started to fail, and they also blamed it on the levers. Steadily got worst over time to the point that I couldn't engage neutral.
@skaboa
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your reply!! I hope this is the real issue. I will go and speak with the mechanics again. They did say when the put the stock lever on the neutral slid in easy again. How can I argue against that and insist it’s a bad master C?
@thelikeablerider8800
Жыл бұрын
@@skaboa yeah difficult one if they've tested the stock levers. You'll have to keep an eye on it, KTM are known for rubbish master/slave cylinders!

Just had a quick look, on the home screen you need to select you bike from the drop down grey boxes. Choose the levers you like from the pictures. Select the colours you want from the "fabr Konfigurator" then add them to your basket "in den Warenkorb" then it's just payment. Use this website: mtp-racing.de/
hello, do the levers have much up and down movement? my standard ones move up and down quite a lot! thanks.

I'm thinking about getting some of these Raximo levers, but I can't find any reviews on them, at least in english. Can you or anyone give there input on the quality. I read a lot of reviews regarding a lot of the other "China" made levers as having issues with locking the brakes, etc. Are the German product approvals/requirements 'strict' enough to say that these are absolutely safe to buy, etc.? Thanks.
@thelikeablerider8800
5 жыл бұрын
Yes it's not a good idea to go cheap! Yes I can assure you that the quality is good. Germany have very strict laws with regarding after market gear, so these levers come with paperwork that they've been tried and tested, and deamed for for use on the public roads.

@@thelikeablerider8800 good to hear and thanks for reply.
Look good quality levers mate, I thought I was the only bloke that wanted (read) instructions!! I'm glad we didn't get all that German legislation into the UK....although to be fair my bike is pretty much 99% original...(replacement OEM exhaust was too much money...sigh....)
@thelikeablerider8800
6 жыл бұрын
Although the laws are strict here, at least I know the parts I'm putting on my bike are safe, if a tad more expensive. Yeah wouldn't have taken much instructions wise, just to tell us what parts have to come off the stock levers. For people that aren't confident in taking their bikes to bits, it would have been a disaster.
I find it interesting when Clive bishop mentions cheap Chinese levers and the Raximo are the exact same break (or should that be brake) levers ,he says about being safe and so do you. Can you tell me what bit makes them more safe, is it the bit of German paperwork or are the pivot bolts different. By the way , I love your technical speak, bish bash bosh,really inspires me with confidence.
