See the emotional reaction to Auburn's loss to Oklahoma at the WCWS.
Auburn softball made history in 2016 but the Tigers won't have the national championship hardware to show for it.
The No. 4 seed Tigers dropped the deciding Game 3 to No. 3 seed Oklahoma, 2-1, at ASA Hall of Fall Stadium Wednesday night in Oklahoma City.
With the season on the line, the bottom of Auburn's lineup went down in order in the top of the seventh, with pinch hitter Courtney Shea battling the count full in a 10-pitch at-bat that ended with a ground out to second.
Auburn (58-12) fell behind 2-0 in the first inning and never climbed out of the hole.

Even though I was going for Oklahoma, I'm very proud of this team. You gave it your all and put up a great fight, that's all that matters. This last at bat was insane, and when I watched it live I was amazed. To be able to be thrown into a situation full of so much pressure, and have an 11 pitch at bat, where you slowly gain confidence is truly inspiring. Both teams walk away winners in my book. Great games.

She was WAY OUT of the batter's box too...should have been called on it! 😡
Courtney's at bat was incredibly inspiring... facing your fears head on and battling to the end. Sure, you wish she'd gotten on base, but to watch her go from fear to confidence and to foul off so many pitches. Awesome! Both teams deserved to win.

Great team! It's a shame that one of them had to lose. Lots of respect for Auburn softball and Clint Meyers here in Oklahoma.

Just bc the big 12 has one or two good teams doesn’t make them better than the SEC. The SEC has been said by many people that they are the best conference by far.
