See what happened after the attention stopped, did the insurance agents pay off, did the feds help out and how much - we need to know what happens and how to cope based on other people's experiences.

i’ve lived in northwest arkansas for the last twenty years, most of my time here has been spent in bentonville and rogers. i’ve never witnessed a storm this severe. i stayed up til 3 am last night hiding in my roommates’ closet while the winds picked up and threw hail at our windows. the worst damage we got was our neighbor’s tree ended up in our backyard but others weren’t so lucky. my heart goes out to everyone in NWA. we will persevere.

North Texas had a storm blow through in the mid 90s on May Day celebrations. Everyone came out after it passed, then it reversed and passed back over with double the intensity and tornadoes. The damage was unbelievable. I was 10 at the time.

Hi, this is bc the nation of America has rejected Israel. Scriptures have warned about God responding in judgemen. Lived in Bentonville for 12 years and saw 5 confirmed tornadoes in that time, actually had damage from one of them ourselves. This area lies at the eastern end of tornado ally and these occurrences are not new but this is the worst damage I've seen in the past 15 years. Arkansas are resilient and will band together and help oneanother and a strong support of family and friends. This community will recover and be stronger for it.

i lived in Rogers 15 years and I have seen 3 twisters in that area 2 by the interstate and one by the Promenade mall area. Seems like that area is twister area.

My father and stepmother ran the Hometown Flea Market which, as shown in this video, was completely wiped out. They are safe however, just in a state of shock at the utter loss.

I live in Siloam Springs, the storm was tracking due east, then shifted to the northeast. Had it stayed on track we would’ve been hit instead. You never realize just how either lucky or blessed you are, until you realize the damage it does to someone else. Praying for you, Rogers, Arkansas! ❤

The bad news no one is talking about is that the insurance companies will start cutting off these areas from coverage. These people will be lucky if the insurance they've been paying on for YEARS cuts them a check enough to move into a hotel for months as well as rebuilding.

Thank you for the drone footage, couldnt see much of the damage on the intersection on walnut due to police blocking it off when i drove by. My neighborhood got hit really bad, i live right off walnut, but im so lucky that my house wasnt badly damaged, all of our trees have broken though

This made me think of the tornado that created Best Buy. In 1981 a tornado hit the SW suburbs of Minneapolis and traveled for 15 miles through Minneapolis and into the NE suburbs. Many call it the Har-Mar tornado because of the name of a mall in Roseville that had its roof removed. Just down the street in Roseville was Sound of Music, an audio products store. It also was heavily damaged. The owner advertised big discounts on open box, scratch and dent, etc. products, and held a sale at the State Fairgrounds nearby. People drove for hundreds of miles, and the crowds were so huge that he ended up trucking in product from his warehouse and the other undamaged stores. He then rebranded the new business model Best Buy in 1983 and the rest is history.

Storms seem really bad this year. I don't know if it because I'm actively looking for tornado footage but I don't remember this many strong storms coming through so frequently. Even here near Nashville we're getting pummeled a few times a week with straight line winds and severe weather

Lmaooo local news stations are useless and only serve up hot steaming piles of propaganda. You are better of learning to read radars with a good radar app or watch live streams of amateur meteorologists… they often are quicker to call out tornadoes than the actual national weather service.

To anyone in rogers i work at bekaert and we rode out that storm last night it was quite a ride power going out and hearing everything hitting the walls

Stunning when you see your former place of residence with all this damage . Lived in Rogers from 1991 to 2016 & never did it take even a close hit like this. Sad to hear the Susie Q, a '50s drive-in eatery was hit. There's a Tyson chicken plant just a few blocks from all this damage and i hope they were spared as they may have had a second shift working at the time. This is why I don't have trees around my house as they'll go right thru your roof when uprooted.

My heart goes out to all of the people affected by this terrible weather event. I hope you all recover quite soon. Blessings from Arizona.

Watching this from Australia, where tornadoes are as rare as rocking horse s**t, I also watched live coverage of the evenings events, and the level of destruction borne by this tornado is just phenomenal...as is the non discretional nature of the damage throughout the housing area not far behind the main road....one house stripped of all but its framing, others within a mere short distance left seemingly unscathed from Mother Nature's immense destructive power...she is very much the power to be reckoned with. Thank you for the coverage, and my thoughts are with those that have lost their homes and belongings, not just in Rogers, but throughout the US, as I'm well aware this is not a rare but all to commn occurrence within the heartland of the country. My friend had severe hurricane damage in 2012 to their property, their insurance payments were resolved in 7 years time, I learned that having insurance does not mean quick payment as they can sit on claims even well documented filings...Good luck to those requiring immediate reinbursements.

I'm just north of downtown, car is under a tree but I may try to walk downtown early tomorrow morning if it's not completely blocked off. Susie Q malt shop is definitely gone as per the news but I haven't heard much beyond that.

My daughter lives in this area and I live all the way here in NY. My heart always drops to the pit of my stomach when I hear storms are ripping through. The health clinic she works at was destroyed but luckily, she's safe.

My family used to live one block over from Walnut, we loved living in Rogers. So sad to see all the damage.

its crazy how wind can bend steel beams like a pretzel.its insane wind, but still wind.the only solid is what the wind has blowing in it.

Thank God that the three huge trees that came down on our property missed my sisters house and her neighbors house. This is going to be a huge cleanup, all help is appreciated!

@@jsshay01 From what I've read about the Lord of the Bible, he DROWNED everyone on the earth way back in Genesis. He struck down all of the innocent firstborn in Egypt at midnight. He says you can own other people as PROPERTY and can pass them down to your children as inherited PROPERTY for life. He has many psychological problems. He's so insecure that he demands worship every seven days. He goes out and created faulty humans and blames them for his own mistakes. If this is your god, he isn't very impressive. He's a pretty poor excuse for a supreme being.

I used to live there, I have grandparents out there but they are alright. This is very shocking for me to see because I have never seen damage like this in that area in a long time. I pray for those that have been impacted out there and in Decatur.

I'm in Oklahoma and that is devastating to see. I've always thought Rogers was a nice town. I haven't heard was their loss of life in the storms Rogers Bentonville Decatur?

2 confirmed but they said the searches might take up to 3 days. They’re suggesting our power will take at least a week to fix and there’s gas leaks everywhere and main water lines busted like you see on one of the buildings here. Lots of roads are blocked as well, community crews have been running around with chain saws trying to clear roads enough.

My sister lives in Decatur. So much damage there, too.

I'm just north I'm bella vista, we were up til 4 with these storms. I used to live in north Texas so we had storm shelters, or someone in the neighborhood did. Just having a basement to hide in is def a new expierience. I hope these people get all the help they need. A lot of our friends were impacted by this in rogers.

Crazy....I'm supposed to be going down to Rogers with my family next Sunday for a week vacation at the lake. That damage is just jaw-dropping.

I have family that lives in Rogers. On Thursday, me and my family were planning to travel to Rogers for my cousin’s party. Our family over there was telling us that they haven’t had light since this happened and now we are trying to see if we should even go. I’m just glad my family there is safe but my heart goes out to those that died and everyone else impacted by this horrible tragedy. Mother Nature can be vile sometimes…

It was terrifying to experience this at work. I work overnights and the ceiling began falling on us! Not to mention the gas leak on Walnut, we had to evacuate quickly. I'm so glad to be safe at home now 💔

I was there last night. I received twice cellphone tornado warning before it touched the ground.I was watching KOTV 6 weather channel before power off. I knew it coming but nothing to do. I felt helpless and scared that time because that was the first time I met tornado in my life. God blessed. I never forgot last night. Pray for Claremore.

Walnut St near Rogers downtown area, neighborhoods near the square and walnut St area, Bentonville square got hit, and Bentonville Bike Festival got torn to pieces as well. So sad and unfortunate

My daughter and I are practically living out of our truck from this storm. Things will get better, I hope. Luckily we are overlanders, so we had a fridge, stoves, food, water, solar power, everything we needed already in the truck, so now it's just about finding places that will let us setup overnight

​@allanmcelroy9840 it's not that rare. Dixie alley has a history of overnight tornadoes because of the location, being close to the gulf of Mexico. Tornado alley normally gets its energy from the radiant heating from the sun, and evening hours (3-8) is when they have their tornadic events. Occasionally they have overnight tornadoes and goes in spurts. 2011 we had 4 EF5's and Moore Oklahoma was hit in 2013 with an EF5, but that was the last time we saw one. I guess what I'm trying to say is, there is a statistical standard, but there are times where we have events that don't meet the standard.

I watched everything unfold here in Camden County Missouri.... Heart's @ Prayers go out to all that was affected by these vicious storms

What a shame these events happen, hopefully no one was injured -- interestingly, anyone looking to re-roof should look at the contractor who did the roofing at the Dollar Tree and it's neighboring business. Amazingly that place survived with less damage, other than windows broken and some interior messing up. The roof at that structure was left untouched.

So sad to see what people have worked so hard for destroyed by the weather. Praying for everyone that has to go through this trying and difficult time .
