Yeah I'm disappointed in Depps lawyers for not fighting this earlier but they probably didn't think she'd write the article and blow it up bigger. They just wanted it to end like most lawyers do with plea bargains...irregardless of the actual truth.

Psychological abuse is just as bad if not worse than physical violence. Feel bad for this guy.

He has lied several times like this under oath like about his drug problem earlier. He also sent texts saying he wants his friends to rape her. Also kill her and put her body in a Honda civic. People get mad or frustrated that can cause people to hit. Right or wrong it does happen, a lot. Now if you are causing injury or are viciously violent looking for reasons to get angry and using people for punching bags that's an abuser to me. People get upset and say evil things and whether hitting or that it is wrong but no one is perfect. Her on the other hand, she's just abusive and violent in general to people so it wasn't ignited by him.

It's so sad. People used to say about women in abusive relationships "why didn't she just leave?", but you aren't allowed to ask that question anymore of women, only of men. Some men and some women are abusive, but you are not normally going to get anywhere in the court, as a man, unless you are rich. Having said that I won a very similar court case against my wife even though she got around $100,000 in free 'legal aid', and I ran out of money (life's savings) after 3 months, and then had to just do it all myself. Many men wouldn't be able to, and the whole think broke me.

Yes, it was. But are we sure Depp never did anything to that woman? Like are we 100% sure? In many cases, one abusive partner turns the other partner into a violent and then the roles invert. Some sort of trauma response, I guess. This recorded fight sounded very manipulative of him to me though.

She is so defensive yet has no real argument when it has come to this trial. There is no love in any of the recordings that were shown later, for example when Johnny was attempting to harm himself. Her side of trial seems so forced as if she’s trying to make her lies believable. Johnny doesn’t have to force the truth. What happened has happened and it’s so clear. After everything, I 100% believe that she is guilty.

I was in a 14 month court case with my wife. Sounds exactly the same as what Depp was suffering. I kept running away from her into the bathroom or some room I could lock, but then she complained about injuries she sustained chasing after me! I was apparently to blame for an injury she sustained to her finger after I tried to close the bathroom door and she stuck her hand in the door jamb! The judge, in the end, sided with me. She (the Judge) said in summing up, mostly because all of the movement was towards me, and I was constantly retreating. I got the kids. Now a single father. I don't get a penny in support from her

I suffered from this by my husband who earlier faked it. A few years in I realized I had documented evidence. I didn't get full custody but he was no longer up for overnights, and he chose to stop seeing the children, whom he also abused. He does pay a minimal amount of child support, but he continues to try to destroy my reputation and to interfere in my life using other people and the legal system. The father's and men's rights movements have been equally damagjng to women. The issue is not men or women but predator people and predator laws / systems. If someone viciously goes after someone else to destroy their character and reputation, or to take what is rightfully theirs by deception, it is a predator, male or female. If my children still wanted to see their other parent and loved and missed them, and were safe, I would want them to at least have supervised access and to make it as loose and happy as possible despite I had full custody because it is not about the parent but about the children. I always want my children to be where they are happy and safe, also mentally. My children are disturbed by contact. He could have made it different, but he made decisions that he knew would hurt them in order to hurt me, and he lied about his intentions to them. He has shown his complete lack of regard for them and his utter selfishness.

This trial needs to end NOW. Enough is enough. These recordings clearly show the calmness of the man trying to deal/speak about the situation and her reaction. He raises his voice once or twice perhaps but not on the level of what she comes back with and to call him a f-ing baby, OMG....Anyone with an ounce of sense should be looking at Johnny and thinking 'Man, no way do you deserve that kinda behaviour from her'. In fact, no man should put up with that. End this trial now. FULL STOP. Case closed. She is guilty.

She apparently doesn't realize that slapping someone is still assault! Her arrogant demeaner is demonstrated by how she's talking to him. She certainly doesn't sound like the abused party! She sounds like someone who's not done hitting him...

If you listen to the audio and compare him speaking in the stand, his voice and demeanor match his testimony.. sounding the same in both. He is not acting.

The fact that he was having some sort of mental breakdown in that kitchen and she is recording that and pretending to be the victim there is so crazy. He literally wasn't even messing with her . And she expressed her need to say sorry about something in the video as If she knows she has done something to own up to. This is all a pity.

He’s shaking as he’s giving his testimony you can tell that he’s scared of her, and I don’t blame him. She is crazy!

My brother was in the same situation. When we would go to visit him, she immediately began the physical and psychological abuses. Much to the point that we stopped going to see him to keep her off him since he wouldn't leave. Because of this, she told him that we don't care about him, and we don't want to see him. Later she killed him.

People like her have selective memories, too…it’s been unreal watching her on the split screen, forced to listen to her abusive behaviour -really listen- for probably the first time.

Imagine the love of your life beating you and calling you a baby for not liking it. Makes me cry. Ive dated an abusive woman like that.

I was married to someone like that for 10 years. I'm convinced she has narcissistic borderline personality disorder. She would twist everything around, and emotionally, psychologically and physically abuse me until I got frustrated and snapped, then blame me for getting angry. It's toxic, and mentally exhausting. She assaulted me but the police arrested me. It finally went to court, I had all the photos and medical reports, she had a statement full of lies. Eventually the judge ruled in my favor, and said after seeing and hearing the testimony, he was inclined to put a restraining order on her, but that's not how the law works, because I was the defendant. She ruined my life and I'll carry the scars of PTSD to the grave.

Without a shadow of doubt, she's borderline. This sends shivers down my spine. Hope she gets help and Johnny's cleared.

God I feel so sorry for him. She just Never let up. I'm glad he took this action now the world can see Heard is a violent abuser. Even though she hurt her toes he was concerned for her. If theres any justice Johnny will win this. Hopefully the jury is taking it all in.

Oh "hitting" him is ok? That's NOT ok!

She has a exe-girlfriend that she hit in 2009, but her exe decided not to press charges. I mean if she hasn't learned in 12 years. When will she learn? She has a lot of growing up to do.

Abusive and self centered people always blame the other person. They never see any wrong in themselves.

The fact that she thinks that fight is a freaking *solution* is sickening... And if Jonny was the one who said *just becoz ive thrown pots and pans over u does not mean-* or *i didn't punch u, i hit u* or even *i did start physical fight* he would have been immediately arrested... she should be behind the bars till now and cancelled by the whole industry till now but is not is beyond me...

This is the ugliest case of gaslighting on audio I've ever 'heard' from a woman. Shame. She's done this to herself. It's not fun hating yourself through destroying people's character. Shallow is a massivie understatement, she is not even "listening" to him. She is true to her surname and only want's to be 'heard'.

If you do not live by a military installation, your chances are better. It's not your fault, it's our current leaders. Regardless of where this case ends, she's already lost, that's all you can see on her face, sadness for having lost him, sadness for having ended up this way.

She needs to be thrown in jail, she needs to give him back all of the money that he was forced to give her in their divorce settlement and he should sue the crap out of everyone that blacklisted and fired him without proof.

I could not agree more. Multiple “heads” need to roll after all of this. He absolutely deserves legal vindication and she deserves to be in prison. He is a victim and she is the abuser it’s clear. The people in high places who protected her abusive ass i.e. heads of film studios/makeup brands/PR agencies etc they all deserve to go down in flames with her.

I like how consistent Johnny Depp is. The way he speak to Amber Heard on the recordings and how he narrates what happened on the stand (the tone of his voice). You can really tell Johnny Depp is in fact a genuinely calm person.

She admit to hitting him, telling him she sorry she didn't hit him with a close hand, and then proceeds to call him "BABE", if that's not abuse, I don't know what is. I feel so bad for Johnny he is so soft spoken, I don't believe he's 100% innocent but we can see who the abuser is! Amber is a monster!🙄, I'm shocked and flabbergasted😱

I thought I would lose my mind. The name calling then the soothing afterwards was the worst! If I'm in a relationship now someone raises their voice at me and I'm out! 5:55 when the lawyer calls his name you can see he was somewhere else, reliving the trauma, and was startled by his own name. “You’re fine, I did not hurt you, I did not punch you, I hit you” - this could literally be the title of a “how to spot DV” book She’s absolutely disgusting and I hope she gets what’s coming to her

Unfortunately it's going to take a videotape of her beating him up while taking a selfie. This judge is awful. To think it takes this long for Johnny to win the case. It just makes me question where men stand in this world. The fact that a woman can get away with so much is scary.

The “okay so I throw pots and pans, let’s talk about everything you do wrong” hit me. That’s knee-deep into psychological and physical abuse. And when they asked him to describe what happened, that hurt me too. It’s so hard to not be in PTSD mode then.

@@Io-Io-Io sorry I am not from us. Here phone companies don't record phone talks with audio they only record like the date and the hours you spoke with someone. Only if you have a court order you can record someone's talk.

Her lawyers are awful and despicable in my opinion and I hope Johnny wins and gets everything he deserves. No one deserves to be treated the way he was by her that's not Love that's abuse. Feel so bad for him and Glad he is speaking up and telling the truth and standing up for himself.

When you see someone hiding when his/ her partner is yelling, that person is afraid of being hit that means he /she has been going through the same thing that they know what is coming… This is sad.. I hope I will one day do a documentary story about Johnny’s life after winning the case…Goodluck Depp!

She’s toxic, and emotionless hearing those tapes, Johnny was living his abusive childhood all over again with Amber Heard being the abusers.

Even after all that, he still went to see if her foot was OK after just saying "ow my foot". Johnny you're a good soul, sorry you suffered so much in your life 😞

She was hitting him and throwing things at him!!! Yelling at him with no solution suggested. Then he tried to get away and she wouldn’t leave him alone.

After she admitted she hit Johnny she also said.. you know what..you did the right thing.. you are admirable. As he was. Why did he put up with this abuse for so long and tried accuse him of abuse to the world that ruined his multi-million dollar career with Disney and other projects? This is absolutely devastating. I'm so glad the world gets to hear his side finally rather than National Enquirer.

So she's done the very thing she's tried to put on him,yet in our twisted version of "justice" not just legal,but the social justice of today,this crazy- ass woman probably won't face half the repercussions this man has. He's lost all kinds of work and had his name ruined. Evil comes in many forms. Look close. That's an evil woman right there. Deceptive,and conniving.

It’s called Projection. Everything they do, they say YOU do. It’s a horrible way to live…always trying to prove it’s them, not you doing “whatever they’re accusing you of.” They know it. But if you’re not privy to what’s happening and what games these people play, you get all tangled up in the web and are just fighting to stay alive. You don’t have time to process what’s really happening. I grew up with a highly narcissistic mother and married a covert narc…he slid under the radar. They are exhausting, spirit-destroying, emotional vampires! I was physically abused in the end, and that almost felt easier to handle than the mental and emotional. I hope he gets every dime he’s asking for. He deserves retribution for the garbage she put him through.

This is actually a very common behavior by narcissistic individuals. Gaslighting, projecting, hurling word salads, mimicking... they are also known to criticize their victim for a good habit or hobby (e.g. reading) and when their victim stops doing that, they pick that up instead. It’s very weird.

He will 💯 win this case as it’s clear as crystal that she is the instigator

He is an actor after all. Obviously he is in the right I'm not saying that but it would be silly for anyone to not believe that he is in the moment using acting just as she will be doing to sway the jury. His facial expressions and long pauses after he was asked to describe the audio tape they just listened to was 1,000% disingenuine and acted out.

Perhaps try dating someone your own age with a certain level of maturity/class and NOT desperately chasing after a 25 year old delusional sociopath?

She never lets him finish speaking. Always interrupting. When he does finally get an answer out,she negates it.

I am so proud of Johnny telling the truth! When you love a narcissistic human you take so much abuse and they manipulate you and twist the narrative! This brings back so many dark times of my ex of 14 yrs!

I put up with my narc for over 27 years before I gave up everything (86 acres) to walk away from my abuser. He was part physical and super verbal in his abuse. It was very hard on me over that period of time. It took everything in me to KNOW my worth and my goodness. That is the only way to survive. In the 27th year I snapped and in a manner of 2 hours time I walked out of there, walked in to town and showed up at the place in town that takes in abused women until you get your life going again. I was devastated having to lose everything. I cried for a couple weeks, but got a job the very first day!!! It was amazing, and to me, it was a sign I did the right thing. If you are being physically or verbally abused, get out. It's just not worth it to stay. It escalates as time goes on. Love to all of you, and best wishes to you and yours.

With a narcissist, everyone around them have to constantly walk on eggshells not to set them off on a narcissistic tangent.

She is a narcissist. You can't argue with a narcissist. I know, I used to be married to one and these arguments sound like ours. They turn the tables on you and make you feel you are the one that is crazy. If all of this is true, then he was right to leave her.

Absolutely true. My ex would always try to make me feel like I was the crazy one. He would not let me sleep, he'd wake me up in the middle of the night to argue, and just kept at it. She clearly is out of control, and it's easy to believe she'd have blackouts after drinking 2 bottles of wine. He seems more calm even in the middle of an argument, so not much different than the way he is speaking on the stand.

Hollywood is just about money... they were trying to be on the good side of women... and denied him many good roles these last few year...that was sad for him... ;( Well, you can be sure that I will NEVER go and see a movie she will be in. Never.

I’m so glad they played these tapes, what jury would side with her???? I really hope she gets help and better but she needs to be accountable for her actions. I never believed Johnny abused her for a second. Disney owes him a huge apology along with others who dropped him on projects! He’s an amazing actor and deserves his career back! ❤️
