Man watching this video reminds me of going to the Nationals at glen Helen in the 90s. 2 strokes made dirt bikes fun and it’s what I grew up on. Love my 2020 KX450 but 4 strokes have almost ruined motocross.

its true. I re vamped my 2004 and 2006 RM250s as of late. Im selling my 2019 KX450. Just not the same. (not the same sport)

That’s when they were real men. 45 min moto’s on a 500 two stroke. That’s the ultimate.

Love two stroke sounds they sound better today than they did in the 80s especially the yz250s

@@bigram7235 not all of them might be, definitely alessis is, he runs an ESR 325 big bore kit, but there is no rule on displacement for the world 2 stroke pro class. So they could all be anyones guess

I have a 2018 yz250 and god damn I can smell that through the screen and it makes me so happy

For those wanting to know #800 Mike Alessi was using a Keihin PWK Carburetor with the STIC Billet Aluminum metering block designed to replace to the OEM block with greater torque and overall performance.

The Engine is a 250 Yamaha with an Eddie Sanders 325 big bore kit, Eddie Sanders head, and pipe. Eddie Sanders offered a contingency bonus of 20,000 if the Pro Open two-stroke winner was using the Eddie Sanders engine. They should allow a 300 or 325cc 2 stroke to race with the 450’s... or do some serious testing and see what size is competitive and allow two strokes back in.

@@fkhan577 we did go to war with the Communist Vietnamese, we were allies with the nationalist Vietnamese until we realized that it was their problem. We were major allies with the nationalist Chinese in the early days of WW2 until communist rule came to power.
