I keep hearing the Ravens haven't faced a defense like the 49ers which other than the Browns twice, I would tend to agree with that thought.. But why is no one asking the same about the defenses the 49ers have faced? These include the following overall yardage ranks when the Niners faced them: Steelers - 21st Rams - 20th Giants - 26th Cardinals - 29th Cowboys - 9th Browns - 2nd (a loss) Vikings - 10th (a loss) Bengals -31st Jaguars - 28th Buccaneers - 25th Seahawks - 23rd Eagles - 22nd, etc Apart from the quality Cowboys win, they've had a pretty easy go of it in regards to opposing defenses, and when they haven't like with the Browns, well it's one of their 3 blemishes. It doesn't diminish that they're still a great offense, but have THEY faced a defense like the Ravens?

Not only nthat you could argue that the Ravens should have won all three of those games. The browns had not led in that game until the go ahead score. Colts, well, there were five or six chances to finish that one of and ditto with the Steelers, they had no right whatsoever completely dominated. One thing that is also not taken into account is they have a new OC and a ton of new skill players PLUS the usual injuries. The Browns came back becaue Stanley got injured and we stopped running the ball putting Gus Edwards back into pass protection and completely stopped using Keaton Mitchell. That negative behaviour and 'egging on' the opposing teams in games we dominate rather then keeping the foot on the neck is one of the reasons some Ravens fans do not like Harbaugh. Easing off on teams that we subsequently get under pressure from or lose to is a feature of his gentlemanly nature and it hurts the team's results.

First off, the conference we play in is 100% irrelevant. It's a nice stat but it has nothing to do with the conference. It has to do with the quality of teams he's played. Second, the Niners are most certainly not bad against the run. #3 run defense. In fact, the Ravens are worse against the run than we are at #11. We were missing our starting interior linemen who are both top 5-10 run stoppers in the league. They had a horrible day on Sunday, yes, but both are expected back on Sunday.

You can see it on the tape. I totally understand that the Ravens are pretty banged up right now. Losing Mitchell last week sucks but, let’s be honest, Lamar is your best running back.

I love when people bring up that stat, it is mind boggling when taken out of any sort of context. The 49ers got BLOWN OUT in 17 losses Shanahans first 2 years when we had Bryan Hoyer, Nick Mullens, and CJ Beathard at QB. 2020 COVID year Jimmy G injured we lose 10 more blowouts. So it's still terrible but not as bad as it first looks.
