Wiggins V Worthy Matchup is going to be exciting. Hamilton V Kelce again should be alot different too. I expect our defense will hold up well since Chiefs bigger key starters on their end and offense wise...Henry should be interesting.

Rooting for the Ravens. The Ravens are a very good team, the question is can they overcome the coaching and player turnover? I think they can. My Lions used last years season opener to show they had arrived as legitimate contenders. They beat the Chiefs at Arrowhead. It's the Ravens turn to show they are ready to take the last step and be the AFC half of the Superbowl.

Clowney had some terrible inside moves on crucial downs which allowed mahomes to scramble on potential drive enders I was PISSED

100%. Agree. He was less disciplined at times in that game. And we left some things on the field defensively that were shocking.

The loss still stings, but so did the 2011 AFC game, and we all know how 2012 ended up. Looking forward to seeing how we start the season. Thanks for the vid, coach

The same comparison comes to mind for me

Coach I’m of the opinion the linchpin will be someone like Tj Tampa. Because of how physical and frustrating he can be in coverage especially how good he is at sticking in the hip pocket to receivers especially at 6’2 and a half I also feel like this is where an unlikely hero comes to show up, it’s why I’ve said no one has legitimately looked into beau brade or sanoussi Kane, I cooked up like 4-5 different looks or formations for those guys to excel and let them add a skill set.

Great opportunity going into a season. I think this will benefit the coaching staff more than anything as you said. I just didn’t see a plan to attack them or individual like they had for the Ravens

Thanks for the video, coach ! As much as I'd like to see the Raven's best KC in week one, nothing will really take the taste of crap away, from having now lost a second major, winnable, playoff game in Baltimore ! Both, I might add, in very similar fashion. Both with totally different offensive coordinators... I've been a Ravens fan from their beginning, and I'd love for them in week one to go decimate KC in their own house, win every game this year, and then win the Superbowl next February . I think the Ravens are not going to accomplish their Superbowl goal on the strengths of our players alone. I know it's way too early to be thinking about this kind of thing, I just hope somehow our head coach can step it up when it really counts this year. The players will follow his lead.

They can go undefeated the next 5 years and it still wouldn’t erase rolling over and denying us the end of the Swift/Kelce storyline. There is nothing that makes up for that embarrassment. They were the best team in the NFL and in the biggest game played like they knew they would lose or didn’t care.

Wait I think the defense held their own after they finally settled down it was the offense that let us down

Offense was terrible throughout. Agree there. The Defense was woefully unprepared for the specific threat that the Chiefs posed (I can't do into details right now, don't have time), and I would still grade the Defense harshly. Many people are not willing to, but in a lot of cases they're not able to recognize certain things the Ravens could have done to mitigate the threat that Kelce offered. We played the Chiefs Offense as if it was just another game, instead of adapting and taking away the specific things they prefer to do. In my opinion, that is far short of championship-level preparation. That's why I grade the Defense poorly in that game, while others think "they held the Chiefs to 17 points" and that should be enough. When you have the talent to stop a team completely, and don't, in my opinion that falls on you as the DC. Or OC. And the Head Coach. I thought coaching was poor from a Ravens standpoint overall that day. Hope that explains my thoughts well. Thanks for checking this one out.

Great analysis and keep up the great work. But to really shut the chiefs down and Patrick Mahomes was asking the impossible. I don't think think they expected to shut them down. To me, this game fell on the offense. Now go back to the week before when they played the Texans the offense was awful in the first half bit was overlooked because we won, but they weren't really that good in the first half of that game either

That was a first year offense Lamar and the offense handled business even in the first game of the season

you reminded me how much pain that conference game caused my heart. what a let down. If Harbaugh et al don't go to Arrowhead with the intention to nuke the Chiefs then whats the point. I rather we lose 42-39 than win 27-17.

I agree that the new additions will have a potentially larger impact Coach. Mainly because their presence will ultimately change how these teams prepare for each other, it's also a complete 180° from last season. It was the end and they knew us, this is the beginning, the Ravens don't even know themselves yet. I like the element of surprise for the start, defenses tend to gel earlier in the season than offesnes. Go Ravens!

I believe this Lamar Jackson and Derrick King Henry combined is the most ridiculous force that has ever been combined in one backfield. Henry is that guy. I have always been a Barry Sanders guy, but I would much rather be juked out of my jock than stiff armed into the shadow realm. It's like Jim Brown out there for real. Then you get to the time should be unanimous mvp, who is still young and hasn't had healthy all pro caliber help very often, can now instead of giving the ball to our guy Gus, who is good, but isn't going to be mistaken for a Centaur, like the King.

I don't know if that makes sense, but it doesn't make sense, they don't have enough guys on defense to contain both of them. 1 on 1 tackles won't work, and we all know this.
