The 4,1 into BT 2,1f combo is actually not bad. It’s the second best route after ff3 into qcf1,2 combos damage wise and has quite good carry. Ff3, ff3, ff4, 4,1, 2,1f, cd1,2 T!, SZN 1f, cd3 is like 81 damage IIRC. 82 or 83 with SZN 1+2, ff2 as ender. I think it’s a good staple to use if someone feels uncomfortable with ff3 into qcf1,2

defensive ravens are buffed - heat burst and throws not tracking is helpful. F1+2 heat dash b3 is no longer possible

Few days in: d/b2,2 is unstable. Extension will miss or sometimes creates side switches

piano 3,4 is is still bugged. if you do airborne 3,4 delay 1 the 1 will whiff with a off axis to the right by almost 45 degrees. which if you try to react with a jab ws 4 or 2 you will attack the air in the same direction. i think the answer is axis. compare to t7 input

Honestly i expected something more considering he was one of the characters they singled out for the changes togheter with Kazuya and Paul. He still has a shitton of bugs and inconsistent whifs, still has forced stances on backflip and b1 and his bb2 parry is still slow as hell compared to Maven's. Sure the crouching df3 from qcf is nice but then again, i expected something more considering the goldmine of changes Paul and Kazuya got.

Couldn't have said it better. Some KZreadrs act like his parry isn't situational and could very well get you killed if you time it wrong. Doesn't launch and we take damage for doing it. Also, give us the BT throw mix back and let that command throw be a homing one. MakeBTGreatAgain 😎

Now that the patch is live, although it's a bit early, i still don't think Raven's BT is as scary as Hitman, AOP, or Lily's BT. He needed a little more than just small buffs to BT f,4, and BT f,3. I think plus frames should've been added to BT d,4 and BT b,3 as well.

My only issue with the update is my optimal low patty combo no longer works 😓 (LP • B3+4 ~BT • BT~B3 • BT~B2,3 •FF3 • DB2,1, 3+4 ~SZ4) can't get the BT 2,3 anynore.

I felt it was lackluster at first with the exception d,df2. But after playing, it's better than I thought. I was hoping they gave him better frames on block. But what we got isn't bad. Hopefully the devs do watch your videos because if they do, they'd understand how to buff him properly 😂. Yes, what we received isn't bad though.

you need a crown conversion harness so that you can wire the micro switches to the JLF 5 pin

It doesn't have that many low crush frames (It seems like it's only in the very middle of the startup, not at the very beginning nor at the start of the active frames).

honestly, im NOT appreciative to these "buffs". 3~4 LOOKS like a low crush and wasnt in t8. 4~3 3 was POOR and now it's "fixed" to make it work correctly. aqua spider is just okay, bt f4- he FINALLY has a valid low poke with frames. bt f3 is good. but everyone else is great. i expected something more. im hoping he gets something more valuable down the line cause fixing buggs isnt a blessing to me. we got bug fixes last time too.

Raven definitely got some good buffs that was needed lol that back turned f+3 is golden and that new/old low

So one thing I noticed for 4~3,3 . Now if they block the first part and only get hit by the 3. You can combo off of that with db 2!

These "Buffs" suck azz compared to what they could have done. Hell I would've settled the BB+2 parry being switched to B+2+4 with guaranteed hit instead of them being able to block. How the hell is a ninja slow and so easy to punish. At least give us ALL our old moves back. SMH. Now we have to wait a year for anything else? Bout sick of this game. Good breakdown tho.

as someone who uses 3,4 to whiff punish a lot of stuff, this change is good. they essentially reverted it back to the previous patch where it was easy to combo, becz that last patch was weird having to do a new combo. usually i like to jab into knee. but yea, its good again
