I need to keep watching these. I usually watch them once and I think I've absorbed the information but things like this I feel slow as I'm completely new and haven't touched a fighting game in a super long time like over 20yrs. I feel like this information is crystal clear but for some reason I just don't absorb it all in one watching. I need to go back and watch all these from scratch again. As I level up and have gained more experience the information clicks better but I still feel like I'm missing something lost in translation of being a newb. I appreciate the videos though you're like the Raven Donatello lol

It’s very true though . I’ve been coming back to these videos and learning something new every time

The problem with Raven lately is that you literally need to condition your opponent with lots of movements, poke and string variations in order to be consistent, i have the feeling often that the other charatcters gets better outputs with less mental effort, like you're sweating and they beat you with moves that are just better

17:56 if you do D3 after the teleport you can combo into B2,1 after. Same with his pendulum kick

You don't need d3 to combo as db2 hitbox was expanded

I didn't play Raven until tekken 8, but man, having BT d4 would be so nice 😢. The main high crush threats from BT being snake edge and slide feels like im risking my life everytime I go low in BT.

i like to make QCF4 wiff and then jab with 1 to interrupt their punish and start comboing into ff3 after the jab

I went from Warrior struggling to Tenryu like poof from watching your vids. I find myself easily beating lower ranks and competing with higher ranks now. But I’m struggling when facing Ranks Fujin up. But I’m actually glad because Tekken is new to me and it shows I have a lot more to grow. I really need to you drop that Ravin bad match up vid. My worst is Hwoarang and Yoshi. I can’t beat high level of either.

I don’t see a need to bind the ki charge now especially because his unblockable set ups were nerfed. It’s more rare to get high wall splats with Raven now that df23 isn’t a tailspin anymore

Awesome guides. Consider a heat clone guide next? For example at the wall they block your clones, what are your options at -3? Are there any differences between the various moves in terms of the spacing it leaves you at etc? I find you really have to make the most out of his heat buffs, especially vs the top tiers.

Great allround guide Video. They took his backturn 4 away but lili has it now for no reason. Also backturn hopkick doesn't launch anymore. Dont even think these two things would make him too strong.

I just replaced bt d4 with bt d1 to high crush. My thoughts on bt? Hmmmm I think it's even with T7's Master Raven. Maybe it's because my Ravens play style. I just go ham with him, you know... I mean, but if or whenever the opponent starts to counter, I'll counter what they're doing to counter me. So I'm strategically going ham with him 😅😂😂. Yeah they took some really good things and they gave some really good things so I think the bt stance evens out with Master Raven. Each time I play online I fight a Raven or two so what you're doing is really helping him out.

Mavens is better because of BT d4 and BT undertaker, BT d1 isn’t a low it’s just a high crush option that doesn’t beat power crushes or heat burst attempts 🤔🤔

Theeeee only thing i hate about fanfir 18:35 is they can jab after blocking the first 3 while standing up. 😡😡😡 Was this the case in tekken 7 I think the 4 needs to be sped up slightyby a frame it should be a natural string (3,4)

This is why I dropped raven. Their bt was my favorite part of their kit and its kinda lame now. No bt throws, parry loses to hop kick. d3 is launch, phase doesn't work anymore and pc is basically useless. g cleft is cool though and fc df3 into bt is cool but for me it doesn't make up for the overall loss of effectiveness i think bt has. More work less reward cool vid though I still check them all out appreciate the info
