One of the most ethereal pieces of music I have ever heard. Glad you decided to do a tutorial on this one. It's actually my favorite movement from Gaspard De Le Nuit, but the other two are also amazing.

Thanks Josh. I tried to learn Ondine but it was way too difficult for me, might start with this one instead :)

Thank you so much for posting this. Your tutorials are always so helpful! I hope that you'll consider doing a tutorial for Scarbo some day. There are no tutorials on KZread for Scarbo and it would be an extremely valuable resource.

Jeez Josh. You must be the most consistent "piano-Master" online. I never heard this before, either. I know very little Ravel (Bolero, of coarse). Josh, playing quietly and under perfect control like you do there, is so awesome. Of coarse it starts on an "and" Peace, Bra. P.s., I love "more-less"

At what level would you recommend the piece?

This is definitely an advanced level piece. I don’t know what the RCM/ABRSM/Trinity levels are, but I wouldn’t give this to students who couldn’t play a lot of other advanced repertoire. It takes a really refined sense of control, color, and discipline to pull it off well

@@joshwrightpianothanks you very much. I had the false impression that it could be simple thanks to the slow tempo.

This movement really reminds me of Coraline's soundtrack, does anybody else get that vibe?
