The best and , for me, the most beloved fact about Bolero is how it gradually grows! It starts as a single, faint sound of a single instrument and grows in a way a hurricane grows from a few drops of water that evaporates from an ocean, slowly turning into something majestic and endlessly powerful.

An utterly humble, unpretentious and no nonsense fellow of very unusual movements, Myung never fails to live up to his rep as the conductor most of the major orchestras on the planet would love to hire. His "Pictures" and Mahler 4th with the Paris Radio Orchestra are unparalleled. Let's hope Mr. Kim can find more videos of this guy.

I listened to dozens and dozens interpretation of this. And, in my humble opinion, this right here is by far the best. The difference between this and dozens other is, in this interpretation they're not just playing a note.... They put theirs soul into each note. You can feel it. This is so moving, it make you want to 😭😭😭 .

I love how emotional the entire orchestra is. Like very emotionally involved especially the entire string section they brought it to life from their melody all the way to the end! I would recommend the Leonard Bernstein performance of Bolero he always does a wonderful job of holding certain sections back so that others can be heard. He used the woodwinds extremely well better than I’ve heard in other recordings.

I am actually a rocker, actually a punk, but I still have an enormous respect for classical music, because it has something that modern rock music lacks, namely melody. And when something like that is presented in such an unbelievably beautiful way, even a punk gets soft.
